Thats sick. I reckon there is going to be a lot of people comment on how it is not 'pinned' or 'shredding' but the fact is that it is an absolutly awesome chilled out vid. makes me wana go ride! nice work man

nice vid man and well said wakidesigns !! allot of youngsters on this site have all the gear and no idea. Its not all about well maintained rock less trails full of man made jumps and high fives at the bottom congratulating a run that could have been done on a road bike. p.s Switzerland in my opinion is the best country in the world so my props for being swis to !

Thanks everybody.
These are the trails: www.engadin.stmoritz.ch/sommer/en/region/aktivitaeten/id.7352/ls.biken
The video was shot on August 6th, not in winter. It was the first time in my life I had to turn back because of avalanche danger on a mountain bike tour. Height when we turned back: 2500 meters.

nice, great video, some chill singletrack, great scenery and very flowy riding. I loved it. People saying it's crap because he's not hucking or pinning it make me ashamed of being a rider... Riding is riding, every discipline is cool in it's own way. except for cyclocross, that's pretty gay

maaah... c'mon these comments you are angry about are usualy from kids that or learn to ride, or ride badly for couple of years now, and above all believe that MTB is about adrenaline kick and EXTREEEEM. If they see a big huck, backflip or Sam Hill at Val Di Sole, they usualy have no bloody idea what it takes to do that... then they have no idea what it takes to ride in such locations as this one in St.Moritz. If they would hear, that you need to carry your bike for 1 hour to get to such place, to get unbelievable mountain experience they would say f**k it and turn on Extreme Channel. I think that they don't even understand what M in MTB stands for. Some surely refuse to acknowledge that 4x SS DH is still MOUNTAIN biking, if some crazy guy would construct a 1000m high artifical ramp with jumps and burms (preferably covered against rain) they would be fine with that.
Do your own thing and let kids be kids I don't criticize you, I wish to give you idea how to be happier, because if you get dragged into these stupidity, you will just be an angry man

Amazing vid! Looks like some bike mountainering, rather than regular singletrack AM, which is totaly not regular there, It is awesome. This is what I love about the big mountains, sometimes you have to turn back, for if you have respect to them, then you know, no matter how good you are: the "stuff" happens, and when it happens you can just hope to end up in "I shouldn't be alive" on Discovery. And "stuff" does not need to be an Avalanche, it's enough to be a slippery stone. At the same time it's so tempting to be "touching the void".

Super senic and nice filming but does not have any extreem riding in it not really vod worth imo

Harold and Kumar go to White Castle: "EXTREEEEME!!!!" Not everything has to give you the same rush as hang-gliding and lifted Ford Broncos, the guy had style! VOD worthy.

no he said he would go and come back another time also mountains dont clear up of snow that quick so its got to be another day

Pretty good but nothing that special. The intro was more than half the film. I'm not hating on it just because it's not super rad gnar huckfest or whatever. I just didn't think it was that interesting.

This might be kind of a stupid question.. But is it possible for his hydrolic brakes to freeze? Or the oil in his shocks?
- + 1
it can freeze, mineral oil(cheaper brakes) freezes at about -30°C, and DOT-4 around -60°C, but I seriously doubt anyone would or even could ride at those temperatures ^^
- + 2
oh don't be so negative against mineral oil. It is the same crap and if you spill it over while bleeding, at least the paint from your beloved stuff does not come off... and trust me Saints are just fine They made a lazy bastard, I don't want to go to them gym anymore... Since I bought them I never got any arm pump
- + 1
lol, well I guess since all the big names are using them (Hunter, Vanderham, Shandro, and the Athertons I think) they can't be that bad
wouldn't mind having some myself. but do you need the saint hub for saint brakes?

you never needed any specific hub, for all that matters is the rotor width, which is a pretty standard 2mm. shimano does both centerlock and 6 bolt versions, but you can use even avid rotors. other way around you can use centrelock shimano rotors and hubs on avid brakes. so u could always have whatever hub you needed. old saint gruppo had one issue which was this huuuge rear derailleur that could have been mounted only to few hubs, their axles actualy.
and dont look on what pros have on their bikes, as Gee rode xt brakes for some time which are pretty crappy

cause all i do is ride my bike, and when it comes to winter i usually just sit around and get fat, i dont ski or snowboard...
- + 1
c'mon guys, USA is a big country, of which vast majority is nearly flat. He might be further away from mountains, than a wee guy from northwestern France...
- + 0
nah, i got two good skiing mountains right next to me, its just that i would rather spend $400 on bike stuff, not a pair of skis or a snowboard.
- + 1
god you're both idiots. the only negative thing that free riding has brought is all the young fan-boy kids who disrespect any kind of mountain biking because they really have no clue about the sport itself and find it impossible to think of good riding that doesn't include an energy drink somewhere.
- + 3
oh pip pip scott i am with you these young wholagons have nothing but disrespect for us older riders!!! when your a model like me we cant risk doing any thing gnar incase we ruin our looks so please ben and fuse PLEASE respect us
