 i enjoy this. so chill.
  • + 72
This made me want to ride ladders... but I'm terrible at them.

And yeah, I'm replying to this comment just for the props, in case this gets VOD. Whatcha gonna do about it?
  • + 4
Nice video. Ya gotta love Boundary!!
  • + 6

flag bikebuster (Nov 4, 2010 at 0:06) (Below Threshold)
one minute hes on the trail, the next he is in the middle of a city...interesting
  • + 12
he's commuting, and they just possibly didnt bother with filming him coming out of the forest?
  • + 8
anyhow, really loved this. great vid to wake up too
  • + 4
but thats where all are cities are
  • + 12
No, we filmed him exiting the trails. Look at 2:20; see the curb along the bottom of the screen? That's the exit of the trail onto the city road.
  • + 6
loving how he just leaves the back door wide open :p
  • + 23
 and leaves his jacket haha
  • + 6
That wakes you up in the morning!
  • + 4
how far does he ride from the end of the trail to his shop?
  • + 3
Im just curious why hes riding the banshee 4X/SS Frame for XC/AM/NS... Good VOD Regardless.
  • + 6
He owns a shop, he can ride whatever he wants. Plus a real salesman knows how all his/her products preform.
  • + 4
can i buy ure house please mate!!!!!!!!!!
  • + 2
 tak, a bluze zostawil w lesie ;D
  • + 7
my commute to colege is slightly less fun if im honest
  • + 6
Totally gonna get his bike and jacket nicked! Excellent vid tho, I wish my commute was that fun. need a ladder bridge leading out of an upstairs window to the trail-head tho, so less of the hike-a-bike!
  • + 6
 You forgot his jacket!!!!!!
  • + 8
Sorry guysSmile I'm an outsider... It's Vancouver, Am I correct?
  • + 3
 ya, looks like it
  • + 4
Lucky b*stard gets to do this on his way to work every day!

Mint vid aswell tho
  • + 5
Haha - the shop owner where I bought my bike doesn't even ride, let alone ride with the kind of skill this guy has on all those skinnies and ladders. That is one hell of a commute! That trail looks super fun. I'm just beginning to develop skills riding on things like that so this is great fun to watch. Great vid
  • + 2
@tate27 for 2010 I was on a mission to do everything on one bike. The Rampant was amazing for that, XC, AM, DJ, DH, FR, comuting, the bike did everything well.

@bbakus, yes this is North Vancouver in Canada.
  • + 3
Thanks for replyWink I've been to vancouver, but at the autumn it looks little bit different Smile I wish I could live thereWink
  • + 5
its good to see a vod where the rider isnt just riding huge sketchy rad gaps and massive drops... this is such a chill video sooo smooooth... i wish this was my way to work in the mornings
  • + 1
he left his coat hahaa Big Grin
  • + 3
its nice to see a change from the downhill/slopestyle domination of VODS....nice vid mate...Smile
  • + 3
that was like riding in a zen garden.
  • + 4
Great vid man!! Way to represent Spec Tech!!
  • + 14
im not sure he will enjoy his bike home as much..
  • - 1
 wtf he foggot his jacket!!!
  • + 2
 grip shift, interesting...
  • + 1
a lot of older people 30+ (no offence) use it due to things like arthritis, and stuff.
  • + 10
ARTHRITIS?!?!? I will thumb wrestle you any day my friend!!!

1 2 3 4 I declare a thumb war!
  • + 2
Ahaha not saying you have it...just saying that most people that yes grip shifting have some sort of hand or thumb trouble Smile
  • + 5
 FIGHT.

FIGHT.

FIGHT.

:P
  • + 3
ahh jeez, another shifting-related flame war is about to begin Rolleyes

is it really that big of a deal that people switch gears using a different method? I use it. It works. Life goes on.
  • + 3
That dude must be PISSED when he forgets his keys at home Razz
  • + 6
Jacket got picked up by the wife.

This is as true to life as you can have it unless I helmet can the whole 1-hour ride.

It takes 5 minutes of pavement (all dh) to get from the curb shot (exit of Digger's trail on Fromme) to my store.
  • + 2
The real question is, do you ride back home? uphill.....
  • + 11
 Every day bro.
  • + 4
 dankmelon
the covert is a sick bike for sure, but not really a do everything bike. if you could dirt jump it or hit big freeride lines with it then hats off to you bud. where as the rampant may not be the strongest climber, Matt has proved that you can xc, dh, dj, all in the same day, with the same bike. the only thing you need to change for the styles of riding is the seat post height.

"the truth" according to you sounds very subjective, having ridden a covert and a Banshee Spitfire i would go Spitfire any day of the week due to the Banshee's slacker HA and the fact that they have an engineer in house to design their linkages.
  • + 4
nice job buddy, your media guy is killing it now
but i'll say it if no one else will... get a DH bike and bring him back, MR H@#$ that is Wink
-most of you guys on this board are to young to know the Legend that is MR. H@#$

landry
  • + 2
Mr Huck, must go find his pic of the old Scream with Monsters on it. I think it's hiding on newschoolers somewhere Smile

Great VOD Mr J.
  • + 3
Pic is in my album on this site. No not under NSBS custom builds... Dig a bit harder. Sincerely, Mr Huck
  • + 6
i love how everyone is concerned about the jacket! lmfao hahaha great vid tho!
  • + 5
i once saw Mr Huck hit the last step down on 306, in Pemberton on a 2005 Yeti ASX w/ Manitou sherman.
  • + 4
Matt, amazing video and amazing riding.....loved it. Also love another guy using Gripshift and the Spectrum Techwear jersey......Brad Walton should be proud.
  • + 3
was gonna say the same thing about brad, great guy to chill and ride with
  • + 3
I like this video...slightly different from my morning routine though. I have a good ol' fashioned knuckle shuffle as part of my exercise regime then I eat a bowl of Granooooolaaaaaa!
  • + 3
man everyday would be a good day if i could hit up trails on my way to work! sick vid, and good to know that a rampant can be built like that
  • + 5
Why did he leave his jacket on the trail?
  • + 3
nice to see some hungarian guy riding Razz

edit: never mind, I just read the comment that you are Slovak. nice riding nevertheless
  • + 5
i wish i had a track like this that goes to schoool:X
  • + 3
Way to show the adjusting of the suspension…something xc / free-ride riders must deal with all the time and is always left out.
  • + 3
Real nice vid, good skills on the skinnies.
Are you being honest about it being your commute to work??? ;o)
  • + 3
And that right there, is why Vancouver is where I want to live....
  • + 3
the thing i dont get is y did he leave he jumper in the forest if he wasnt goin back :/
  • + 3
awesome video, great job, colors look great. some shots from above would be cool, don't see those much in biking vids.
  • + 3
nicest VOD i have ever seen. amazing Northshore stuff too! and incredible balance/riding! keep it up Smile
  • + 3
Nice I'm using my Morewood Ndiza 4X Bike for XC as well... it's a nice allround weapon
  • + 3
Man some serious commitment must of gone into building that trail nice vid to
  • + 3
lucky bum i almost live in a place where if my dog ran away i could see him 2 days laterFrown
  • + 4
bikerboyzz, you look so boring, and your slow and sketch
  • + 3
If my commute to work was this fun i'd never get there. Great vid, epic shots throughout!!
  • + 4
wow that nose manual, pure skill bud well impressed!
  • + 3
damn having to wait for it to buffer ! looks like a sick vid so far though !
  • + 3
Matt Juhasz... Has he some Hungarian roots?
  • + 2
My family is Slovak. Apparently quite common last name in Slovakia too because my parents don't know of actual Hungarian roots. It goes back to when we were all one big happy family in the Austrio-Hungarian Empire...
  • + 3
so... how's he supposed to get home??
  • + 4
 veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery carefully
  • + 3
 Alot better then my commute...
  • + 3
i wish i had a house below the shore.. damn
  • + 3
dang. trails out your back door. I'd kill for a location like that!
  • + 5
 And pay for it too($)...
  • + 3
 awsome video..makes me wannna ride!
  • + 3
sweet enduro riding and great north shore skills!
  • + 3
hey this finally got vod yaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • + 3
haha.. would hate to ride that skinny with a hangover!
  • + 3
 Stupendous!! very wonderful video! RideOn!
  • + 3
That would be a lovely DAILY commute to work.
  • + 3
whAT BIKE ia that and it looks nice lol so lock it up
  • + 3
The rider is as amazing as the trail is.
  • + 3
Wasnt this vod be4? Its a good video nevertheless
  • + 1
For all those that are complaining about him not being shown coming out of the forest, this was filmed as an ad for the shop and not necessarily his actual commute.
  • + 5
But it is my ACTUAL commute. Like I said earlier, the only way I could make a more true-to-life vid is to helmet cam the whole ride. Life is, indeed, good.
  • + 3
Then you have an epic commute, I wish there were trails through the area where i live, but its all suburban sprawl (seriously, there is no division between 6 something cities aside from signs on the highway) so all the trails are on the outskirts.
  • + 3
good job all around.. inspired me to go get some. Thanks!!!!
  • + 3
Lucky, what a way to start your day.
  • + 3
that track is a work of art. really mellow
  • + 3
i wish i had a backyard like his
  • + 3
Nice work Adam I like it!!!
  • + 3
dayum i wish my commute was like that! wicked
  • + 2
kool vid nice bike. however i HATE WITH A VENGENCE TWIST GRIP! PUT SOME PROPER SHIFTERS ON THAT BEAUTUFUL BIKE!!!
  • + 3
 old school, thats why.
  • + 2
I love the grip shift on the trails. My new Banshee AMP uses a trigger cause ripping through BMX tracks was the only place I would ever accidentally ghostshift. And what richierocket says, I am an old-school dude.
  • + 2
I have an x.o grip shift that I used for awhile. Actually quite nice.
  • + 4
i suppose i am being young and unreasonable. however its all dowm to personal preferance and as i hace stated i dont like gripshift
  • + 3
wish this was my morning commute
  • + 3
sick skills on those skinnies Big Grin
  • + 3
looks pretty fun must take a lot of balance sweet bike btw

  • + 3
Thats his commute to work!! Jeez, talk about living the dream!
  • + 2
Soooooooooo, he just leaves his jacket in the woods and picks it up on the way home?.....

  • + 2
 sketchy wood, where is this?
  • + 3
 Digger's Trail, Fromme, North Shore.
  • + 1
Sketchy wood? Have you not heard of the name digger? Are you a little clue less on the term north shore? Digger is a legend and all is trails are beautiful! Some left to die due to time but I would love to ride this trail, be a bit of a notch in my belt.
  • + 3
 great video!
  • + 2

  • + 2
his commute home must be a b*tch with all those ladders...
  • + 2
lol, you say that like there's only one trail Razz
  • + 2
thats cool but do you leave your jacket there all day?
  • + 2
someone should tell him he left his jacket in the woods :/
  • + 2
 hahahahaha
  • + 1
why did you re-edit this video?
  • + 5
to give it focus on the Rampant rather than the shop. Adam is working on a series to represent the entire Banshee line-up.
  • + 2
Smile Like Matt said, I currently filming a series featuring all the guys from North Shore Bike Shop and the Banshee bikes they ride!
  • + 5
im stoked for the legend and scyth edits Razz
  • + 5
You'll be BEYOND stoked with the Legend one!
  • + 3
ahh jeez Drool (although these edits are might fine too)

and is the legend rider the guy who races for NSBS? (sorry, i forgot his name)
  • + 2
 www.pinkbike.com/photo/5645729

COLE SWANSON

Never forget his name!
  • + 3
oh wow, it seems he has his spectrum of riding covered! cole swanson, I think i'll remember this time lol
  • + 3
Digging the edit. I can't wait to see the Legend/Cole Swanson feature... That kid rips!
  • + 3
does the rampant ride well with a lyric? i have one and im just running a pike on it.
  • + 2
Yes here on the Shore we have sold lots with bigger forks like Domains, Lyriks, and Fox 36s. We have lots of steep terrain and in addition to the dj and 4x and slope, people want to ride their Rampants on the steeper Shore FR trails, and Whistler Bike Park. It is an incredibly capable descender with the bigger fork on it but I barely ever used the full 160 mm. For everything but the absolute gnarliest terrain I was quite happy between 130 and 140, and of course for all the smoother stuff the fork stayed slammed at 110.
  • + 3
 awesome thanks.
  • + 1
why would you just leave your nice ass bike outside not locked up -_-
  • + 2
 What's the song guys?
  • + 2
Somethings Wrong - Pretty Lights Smile
  • - 2
there is one "do-everything' bike that is far more superior to the banshee - transition covert! and next time someone comes into your shop looking for one - be nice and tell them the truth...yes - the truth!!!
  • + 2
lol! bikes do make a difference, but its 90% rider if you ask me.
  • + 2
 He forgot his jacket!
  • + 0
good vid but not shore if its VOD worthy xx
