Chris Akrigg - A Hill in Spain

Check out my latest video now! A Hill in Spain chronicles my recent trip to Malaga and the surrounding hills where I found this gem of a trail with help from top photographer Victor Lucas. Unsure of what I would find out there, I took my “anything” bike the Mongoose Nugget. What I did find was an incredible, rocky hill side with some fantastic trails.

So glad this has made VOD rather than the usual panned close up of trees and leaves as out of focus DH'er in background whizzes, only then for a barrage of him hitting berms in slo mo. Don't get me wrong, I love riding and really appreciate the crazy skills that some of these riders have but its all very samey, showing no imagination. Chris Akrigg on the other hand is a rider with totally bonkers riding ability, and an inspiring imagination on what to do with that ability. Not to mention he produces and edits all his videos which is an amazing talent all in itself. Chris Akrigg, I salute you.

Impressive ! I love this vid , a variety of riding accomplished on one pony. The scary thing about his riding is the smooth control he demonstrates from start to finish. What will his riding look like when he pushes the last 5% of the envelope

This has got to be my favourite mtb vid of all time. Seriously Chris, I love all the stuff you put out, your style and your vids make mewanna grab my bike and hit the trails, but this is awesome.
Get well soon bud, we need regular updates from one of the most inspiring riders I've ever seen. One of the best things to come out of Yorkshire (aside from Yorkshire Tea and Yorkshire Tea Loaf of course, love that stuff!).

I disagree with you there. Because both the two bring trials into their own freeriding styles. So you can compare them. And when i said wannabe i never said this Chris guy wasnt good. Obviously he is an amazing rider.

danny maybe better in trials but chris takes trials to a totally new level by mixing free riding and trials into one. chris could even be on a league of his own. totally creative and insane!

Danny's and Chris's riding styles are completely different. No comparison, just two amazing riders. Its just more people know about Danny because of his wider audience, whereas chris has been around too but not so much in the limelight.

Wannabe Danny Macaskill? lmao you obviously don't know who Akrigg is. He's a six times national trials champ, he's been in the sport for much longer than most people realise, and it's so good for the sport that he's finally a fully paid pro rider. I wouldn't mind betting Akrigg was one of the riders that inspired Macaskill, as they are both similar in their free flowing style.
This guy can ride almost anything, and on almost anything, he rides trial style terrain on an all mounatin set up for example. Serious talent.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not dissing Macaskill, the lad's got serious bike control, but Akrigg is in another league.
