Beacon race run 2-24 (Crash)
Please excuse my language at the end, but it was very frustrating that the guy wouldn't get out of my way through the whole jump line and ended up costing me a good race run. I could have flipped out on him at the bottom, but chose not to because I acted impulsively when I crashed and we both could've gotten hurt.

guys, dh and mountain biking in general is about fun and broin out, yeah its frustrating that he got in your way but is it really the end of the world? its not like your racing a WC here or even a big race, this to me looks like a local fun run man real early in the season too, theres no need to tweek on him that hard, you guys are the ones who are giving dh races the gay roadie feel rather than the good old days when it was all about fun .

dude, i race too, and train with wc and pro riders and i aint exactly slow myself, racing and winning is fun, but you need to mature a lil bit, this sport has its roots centered around just enjoying the ride, like i said, this race aint exactly carryin a huge cash purse for the winner, and you arnt exactly doing this for a living yourself, so just check your ego at the door bud cause it'd be a shame for a talented rider like yourself to be a huge douche and add to the ever growing list of roadie @$$hole tudes that are destroying the comraderie of this sport.
- - 16
really man?? you train with pros? and you say your fast? you look totall goon in your vids? hes not a douchebag at all, he hauls ass on mtb and dosent even ride them that much. your a fag

i think i would be even more pissed then this kid if im paying for a race then having an awesome run and a gooner knows your there and doesnt move then crashes yea i would have flipped a bitch on that guy.

those are pretty old pics from some bikes ive started on, but if you wanna judge off those be my guest, i really shouldnt even respond to you since you are clearly so dumb compared to me =D but at the end of the day talking a big game on the internet is one thing, but at the end of the day pussies wish and men do, and men with character encourage new comers to this sport rather than call them goons and yell at them for being slow, have a good one boys you'll grow up one day
- - 1
and btw if your still paying your own entry fees maybe your the one who should be a lil more humble =P

Bro you don't know who your talking to. I guarantee ridesanoldskool would wreck you anyday. By the looks of your sweet trek bro you shouldn't be talking shit at all. So stfu and go away and act like your a pro.

Its almost hard to insult this guy.. hes the fastest guy in the pits but when it comes down to it hes just another goon like that dher09 or whatever the hell his name is

Good lord boys. Were all riders right? And who cares what bike you ride? Now a days if you have a 5K+ bike you are automatically fast and if you don't you suck right? It's the rider that makes the bike. Not the bike that makes the rider. I ride with so many guys that have $1500 bikes that will go faster and bigger with more steeze than myself, and most people around.

no, they don't have a reason to. They don't race. They're just out there to chill with buddies and have a good time riding, keeping it real and thats what mountain biking is all about. But if they did, they would be good and on podiums without all the sponsorship and TLD pajama kits.

i am a WC/pro rider myself, i pull some awesome goons and train hard all winter, i ride to win, not to have fun, just to win. my bike is worth about 18k and yes, that makes me bloody fast okay?! i am probably the most talented rider in the UK right now and i cant wait for my chance to beat the best on a race circuit so i can finally wear the crown that i deserve.

Why get all aggravated? Dher0521 said he couldn't hear you. Maybe you should get an airhorn. We all now how difficult it is to hear in a full face helmet with people yelling at you when you are focused on your own race.
The real problem is that you were in the wrong class and too fast for the competition. That is not Dher0521's fault -- nor yours. For now, however, you are racing with amateurs that are doing this for fun. You may be taking your racing seriously, but you are not yet pro! This is not a WC race and until you start racing with people of your skill level, you are bound to run into these issues occassionally. However, it is weak-sauce to get all aggro at a rider who is riding in his skill group.
Do you really think yelling profanities at a slower rider makes you a hero? Or endears you to potential sponsors? Why should a company give you money if come accross like a petulant child and not like a professional? You have some talent, but I would think a little bit about how you present yourself to the rest of the world?

You guys are dick. The thing no one relizes is the day before I crashed in practice and cracked a helmet and I wasent going to ride the race on saturday but desided I might as well since I was already there. I dident relize he was behind me. Try hearing someone behind you when you have a splitting head ache and you have tons of people screaming and yelling. It's imposible. Sorry for blocking you or whatever but I couldent hear him and I felt like crap that whole day. Say whatever you want I could care less. It's one race not the end of the world

Oh dear, that was a super fast run,and yes an awfull shame about crashing . But in all honesty it happens and can't be changed now,if time travel was possible then something could be done differently . But there is no need for all this bitter talk. Perhaps if you meet on a race run again then instead of rushing back on your bikes after a crash just embrace the moment clutch each other firmly and let nature take over, feel each others sweat, touch each other like never before , wipe the hurt from each others tears and let your bodys connect . It worked in broke back mountain ,it can work for you too!!!! Just enjoy the love of the mountain dudesX

woah dude. people are assholes. The guy obviously couldnt hear, its a tight track. just explain to the officials and ask for a another run. and posting his profile on this page is even worse. Sure that sucks man but you caused a dangerous situation.
- + 0
Are you kidding me? I caused a dangerous situation? He had plenty of opportunities to move and wouldn't, at one point I was about two feet from him screaming at the top of my lungs to move. He created the dangerous situation. I was obviously faster and it's a race, I couldn't care less about how he feels. He obviously put me in a dangerous situation by making me go down. And by the way I went to the officials and asked for a re-run and they told me tough luck, thats racing so it was worth it in the end. You obviously aren't much of a racer.
- + 9
sucky situation either way, can argue it either way i guess so i do see how you say he created the dangerous situation. that is racing so your right about that. but the way you acted and some of the comments on this page are so un sportsman like. show some respect for others it is just racing, not WC. you definitely were tearin it up haha, fast run. Those were some sucky officials then for not allowing a re run. Maybe time to upgrade haha
- + 2
It was a heat of the moment type of thing, I know a lot of others would have been a lot worse than I was. Racing is racing and that shouldn't have been an issue, It was my 2nd ever race and I hadn't raced enough to get my upgrade. I sent in a request to have it petitioned so that I can move up. Weather it was a WC race or not I still want to do my best, especially when I'm trying to get my upgrade.

Man wtf?! Obviously you're a very good rider but you ARE an a*shole! What do you think the people who sponsors/may sponsor you think about you behaving this way and also writing this stuff on the internet?
Racing is frustrating sometimes but YOU DEAL WITH IT. You don't behave like a 5 year old that doesn't get his candy. You need to mature a little bit. The right thing to do was to tell him you're sorry (Even if you're not) and ask him if he was okay. Then you can go somewhere by yourself and take out the angry feelings on a rock or whatever. Grow up!

Damn man.. I'd be super pissed too. You were absolutely pinned... why in the hell was this rider in the same bracket? was it 30s intervals? And then he crashed on something lame... I'm all for new comers to the sport and stuff but he should have been in a beginner bracket for sure. Atleast you had some really good footage to prove that shit...
- + 3
Well dher0521 now you know not to put yourself in dangerous situations when you cant handle them. Your also putting other riders at risk. What if he was hurt from the pile up which you caused. It goes both ways. You live and learn. Get back out there, just know your limits!
- + 8
Yeah it's one thing if he goes down naturally... from himself....and not due to you not getting outta the way. Especially when he yelled at you for several corners before the incident and after the crash then you get up and try to race him. You've got some learning buddy! Learn to take some humility, you earned it on this!
- + 4
I couldent hear him. That section was insanely loud. It was my first race this season and I rode like shit that whole day. I don't get why you guys atomaticly think I dident move on purpose.
- + 3
Bummer you had a good run going. I have seen an experienced the same thing catching a slower rider. Perhaps you should look into moving to Cat 1 less likely to catch the fella in front of you but just how it is sometimes. But I would have dropped a few choice words in the heat of the moment. But would have appologize later. And did you kill it on Sunday?
- + 1
I was just trying to get mu upgrade to Cat 1, that was only my 2nd race ever. I won by 7 seconds on Sunday
- + 1
i understand how that could be anoying, but he could not hear you! its ONE race, and its not like its so important like the world cups. if you tell the race officials that you got in a crash with a rider, and checked on the riding and asked if he was ok, they will let you take another run. at least the races i go to, they would rather you check on a crashed rider and to keep going. but i see it from this riders point of view also. but still dont fully understand why to be so rude
- + 0
Not everyone has the mary poppins point of view when it comes to racing. I personally take it very seriously and have the mentality of a racer, and want to win no matter how big of a race it is. A race is a race, and that is what I payed for. If that was a practice run, yeah I would feel bad for what I said to him. I don't want to lose because the kid was too arrogant to get out of the way, I know for a fact that he heard me, after I hit him and went down, he still got up and still tried to race me. ONE race could have injured me for the rest of the season and I don't feel like I overreacted in the slightest bit. I know people that would have taken swings at this kid for what he did

Damn man that was a sick run ! Keep up the great riding and wish the best for you . Personally I'm surprised how well you kept your cool lol I prob would of over reacted . Hey it's part of the sport , there are some errors that happen but we can only look towards the future and move on from the past . I'm surprised that they didn't space out the time for each rider a bit longer ? Unless your that fast or he's kinda slow lol ... In the end , we all started somewhere and we all started as slow noobs etc . I think the event officials really need to do something to prevent this happening again , ESP since they didn't let you do another run down :/ . Happy riding to everyone and I think both of you should just put it behind each other and just move on , fuk it ! Get out and pin it !

1. The guy should have moved out of the way AS soon as he found space to do so. He didn't, he caused you to crash AND didn't apologise for ruining your run. That guy was an A-hole.
2. You were too soft, had it been me I'd have lost it and kicked his ass either after the crash or after the race. You pay to race and shit like that is disrespectful, dangerous and deserves to be punished (the people in charge should have penalised the guy).
3. A race is a race, just because it isn't worldcup level doesn't mean its BS. UNLESS the race is for fun only in which case whatever.
