Yes, that damn shot was definitely close cause I did that section myself about 20 times last summer and only once did I attempt it. I landed it but I was very lucky that I did not crash (cause I cased the landing). I'm not attempting it again. Since then I only pump it.
oh yeah, sounds like you ride rockgarden covered in leaf easily! We do the same at the local mountain here, it's not fun charging in an ocean of dead leaf and not even knowing if you are going to hit a rock/root/ etc. If the trail was super smooth than yeah. keep em.
do you not ride in the wet or snow either? leave the trail how it is and learn to ride with it. it doesn't take long to learn how to pick out rocks beneath leaves.
Riding in the leaves is fun but you have to understand that bromont trails have a lot more rocks/roots than actual dirt. You don't actually need the wet leaves for it to be challenging.
That's the way it is in the east though. I just don't see why you need to get rid of natural challenges. Would've looked cool to see some dry leaves flying up behind the rider
People on here seems to enjoy faster riding edits to slower technical stuff though. Added challenge is always nice, I can't wait to ride in the snow personally. I'm just saying that I can understand why they removed the leaves.
I'm impressed they made it up there, having been towed with what looks like a bit of string.
