 Can't we stop it with the 'gay' shit. No one seems to throw around the word n*gger or spic in a deragatory manner on this site. Believe it or not, not every guy (or girl for that matter) is 100% straight and quite a few have indulged in sex with someone of the same gender. I do agree though - its a pretty f*ckin ridiculous way to spend the winter on snow in my opinion.

 I was never really able to get those GT things to turn right. So I prefer a "blue magic carpet" or "plastic saucer" and hopefully catch a hottie on the way down. Full of snot and or whatever!

 You are right @schroulper. Especially this web site that is based around the "rainbow" community area. It is surprising why we still have to deal with so many homophobs. I just take it as it being funny. Because you know what they say about homophobes. Why would they complain when it means there is 2 more free fish in the sea for them.

 Most people who say "gay" and "fag" aren't homophobic, and don't actually have anything against the gay community. When I use either of those words, I'm never using them about gay people. Words have more than their literal meaning and no amount of telling people not to use a word will change that fact.

 To suggest @luckynugget that those two words you choose, nearly always in a negative connotation, arose coincidentally and independently from the same words used to describe some peoples sexual orientation is difficult to argue. You really want us to believe that happy, merry people and bundles of sticks are the root of terms used to target peoples lack masculine qualities? Just sayin. The 'community' you speak of is all around you. They may ride with you and possibly ride better than you. You may be aware and you may not. No hard feelings. Rip it up.

 I agree with dropping the 'gay' usage. And as for Faggot, maybe you should look up how this reference to gay people actually eventuated. It's probably the most disturbing and demeaning reference for a marginalized group ever. It's time to drop them, you may not think they're derogatory, but then if you're not gay then you're in no position to determine their offence.

 I freeski, and Ive boarded before. Both have theire ups and down, just comes down to preference. And if people call other people or this snowscoot gay then thats just them being gay themselves cause they know they could never do it, or its just a matter of opinion which, whatever, more pow to shred without them on the slopes Smile

 Is it just me or does snowboarding still seem like way more fun? I remember one of the old Nitro Circus movies having a segment in it where they flipped them off of some real jumps and that was kinda cool, but it's still a scooter at heart.

 Unless you are riding switch. Snowboarding is to dominate foot oriented. And we know it's all about the oppo's now (opposites). Everything is better when there's symmetry.

 A snowboard looks like a big mono-ski on which you stand sideways. It's for looking cool while the skiers pass you.

 To each their own. I really don't see this as anything like skiing, snowboarding or biking. Apart from the bars its doesn't behave like a bike, apart from the boards it's nothing like snowboarding. What's up with the Leatt brace too? I've never seen someone use it for skiing or snowboarding, especially when your just doing pow turns.

 The guy makes it sound like being a *ag is some sort of secret society... There all around you, they may even be better than you... If the guy is a good rider then great I just don't care if he's a *ag or not a fag. It's not like I'm riding around watching other people riding.  SnoScoots are actually tons of fun, very different from skiing or boarding and not really like riding a scooter either. I still think the North Legion SMX has the right concept with suspended dual rear skis

 30 years ago there was probably a bunch of tards sitting around, doing nothing and saying how dumb, gay, lame, etc snowboarding was and look at it now. Not saying this will ever be even close to that big but if they stopped calling it a scoot it would help. As a boarder of 13 years and biker of 10 and a skier one time I gotta say this looks more fun to me personally and i don't care what all the posers who are just out to look cool say. Peace.

 30 years ago, snowboards were banned at almost every ski hill. I had to call ahead to make sure they were allowed. Crazy but true. I called my Grandpa at the ski hill he worked at in the U.P. and he said,"No and I'm glad. I hate those things" I said I was going to go to another ski hill, he said, "Wait! Let me talk to the owners". He said the owners would allow it, only cuz he knew me. The next year, they had a demo snowboard weekend. It wasn't really considered gay, but I did have an original split tail Burton and it did have a rainbow stripe up the middle in the stock graphics. We were a bunch of punk kid BMXers and skaters, we were always the loudest group of hooligans on the hill. Doing the dumbest stuff. It was great but not great ambassadors for the sport, cuz out of about 600 people, we were the only 6 on snowboards.

 get one of those kits that just mount to your bike instead of wheels to ride on snow. They are real fun cause you actually ride your bike! Cheers!
