Ragley Bikes

From the Manufacturer:
bigquotesStronger, tougher and wider - Wiser! Built for the rider that wants a lightweight, durable bar that will stand up to the most demanding riding you can throw at it. The new Ragley Wiser bar has had a serious overhaul: we have redesigned it from the ground up to offer you the best aesthetics, ergonomics, performance and value on the market! Constructed from 7075-T6 Alloy the new Wiser bars have All-Mountain strength but weigh in at a trail bike friendly 300g. They feature a sensible width of 760mm which will suit most riders out of the box without the need for cutting them down, although we have included cut mark graphics just in case. This combined with 9/5 geometry and choice of 3 rises, results in an extremely comfortable bar that will keep you that way all day long. We chose these dimensions because these are what we like and what we think you will love too. Our new Low 10mm option was developed to replace the need for a flat handlebar which inherently does not have any upsweep. Our new 10mm option fills the gap; featuring as low-rise as possible whilst keeping proper up and back sweep. For 2015 we designed the new Ragley Wiser bars together with the Stubbing stem to make sure you get a no compromise set up that is designed to work as one. To emphasise this they both feature beautiful matching masked/shot-peened/polished finish and graphics that complement one another.

Enduro races are getting the best equipment out of its comfort zone, and even such a great ideas as narrow-wide chain rings require a chain guides to stay reliable. Our product won't let you down on those steep rock sections despite the way you ride them. We used just the upper guide (with easy mounting feature), and the bottom slider, which just gently touches the chain.  I have one of those Schwalbe pressure gauges. I had the first one replaced due to constant contact issues at the battery, now the second one started it too. It is also very inaccurate, it shows about 0,5-1 bar (7-14 psi) lower than my floor pump. When I pump up my tires to about 2-2,2 bars (29-31 psi) according to the Schwalbe gauge they feel rock hard. I've learned to estimate my tire pressure by feel since.
Save your money on beer instead.
  • 6 0
I second that. I always reads a lot less pressure that is actually on the tire. Added to the fact that it has no bleed valve, it pretty much sucks.
  • 3 0
It does look like rebadged cheap Chinese garbage. Thanks for the input.
  • 3 0
I am using my Schwalbe gauge for some years now and it is precise like new. But you have to do at least 3 measures to be sure (as with everything).

2.2bar IS considered rock hard these days, isn't it Smile ?
  • 1 0
Agreed. Just use a good-ol' analog pressure gage instead. Got one years ago for $3 bucks at Pep Boys in the checkout line, works just fine.

I have been using Beto gauges (have had two) for the past decade and have been very happy with them. This is PricePoint's rebranded version, which is the same as what I've gotten previously from them except for the labeling: www.pricepoint.com/Brand/Price-Point/Price-Point-Digital-Air-Pressure-Gauge.axd

They have a lot of features (spend your time reading the manual, as most negative reviews are from people, who obviously haven't figured out all the features), the battery lasts forever, don't know about absolute accuracy but I've been using them happily on my cars, too, and there they accord with other gauge readings.
  • 1 0
You gotta love how the write-up is essentially a copy/pasted catalog blurb, too.
  • 3 1
Our pressure gauge is quite accurate for a pressure gauge of this price level. The reason for inaccurate measurements is usually the contact with sealant. Since nowadays most of the rider use sealant in their tires, the sealant can glue the sensor which leads to problems when you measure the air pressure. The best way to prevent this is to tip on the valve shortly, so the sealant which is stuck in the valve-core can escape and doesn`t end in the pressure gauge.

Thank you for the explanation, I'm sure this will help some users. However I have the same results with tubes. I tried again yesterday. I pumped 2 bar in the tire, gauge reads 1,5 bar. That is a noticeable difference and I would bet my bike that it's much closer to 2 bar than 1,5. I checked if there's anything in the gauge but it's perfectly clean.
  • 3 0
@toronte - When you pump 2 bars in your tire, do you measure it with your floor pump? Pumps often incorrect, as the pump only shows the pressure in it`s hose but not the pressure in the tire / tube as the valve might need some extra pressure to open depending on the product and age. Maybe check the gauge against another one, or even better - try it on your car. Pressure gauges at gas stations are calibrated in most countries. Try this 2-3 times and take the average. If you still see a difference in the pressure, contact the dealer you bought it from or your local Schwalbe distributor to exchange it.

love those pedals! They are available from almost every company like nukeproof (electron), Deity (compound)... ride them on my freeride and dj bike.
Would be interesting from which factory in asia they are coming from, so i can label them by myself^^
  • 3 0
I think they come from HT. Not 100% sure.
  • 2 0
Seen some of these pedals broken in two but not sure if have solved that problem?
  • 5 0
agreed, NRG sells them under the Hippy Killer moniker.
  • 1 0
I have a pair, they are good for the money.
  • 1 0
Yep I have the Nukeproof ones, they're sweet and don't bash up your shins as bad as the metal ones if you have that issue.

Never thought I'd find free stickers for under $200! Thanks for unearthing this amazing deal pinkbike.

Schwalbe Gauge looks like it has a billed button. But does it update the air pressure as you bleed or when you stop bleeding? The SKS digital gauge does not, making it kindof annoying because you have to remove the gauge and reattach it again each time you bleed some air to get a updated reading.
  • 2 0
the Schwalbe Gauge has no bleed valve
  • 2 0
And it is made in such a way that it is not really intended to replace the battery when it is empty (took one year witjh weekly measurements). You can replace it but it is awkward to take the thing apart and some minor stuff inside breaks. Mine worked afterwards for another year. Then broke (shows silly values). To bleed air you have to take it off the valve, bleed by hand, hold the button 2sec to reset it and attach it again. Quite a fuss. I went to analogue gauge.

The K-Edge Garmin mount is too good. I used one, and when I crashed all the force was transmitted directly to the garmin breaking the mounting tabs. Didn't have my receipt so dealing with Garmin took too long and I had to spend $50 on a replacement back case from Ebay
  • 2 0
$87 for a chainring but how much for the crank that will fit it. Though it looks sick.
  • 2 0
on ebay $400 us no bb
  • 3 0
Makes no sense...just buy RF Cinch for much, much less.
  • 1 0
 Already done that, Brother.

anyone use the ass juice to build wheels with instead of spoke prep / linsead oil?
  • 2 0
Yep, laced up an EX729 with DT spokes and nipples with it to see what would happen. Worked fine. But don't bother, just use triflow.
  • 1 0
I've been using anti-seize compound on my wheel builds lately. The stuff never dries out and the nipples don't come loose.... and its cheap. I can be found at any auto parts store.
  • 1 0
Here's some ass juice to try, put it on your lasVegas "to do" list, you won't regret it! www.doubledownsaloon.com

  • 1 0
Love how Steeds sells that tire gauge for $40 and its $25 at MEC. I have it and it works awesome.
  • 1 1
No reviews? What is the purpose? At least say a few words about why it made it on this list - verses the dozen other options for each of these...
  • 3 2
That chain guide is pretty damned light. Shame no US sales though Frown
  • 1 0
Hey, we ship worldwide, I don't know why they've written, that EU only. Cheers!
  • 1 0
Awesome! Thanks for the reply Smile
  • 10 9
