Introducing the Devinci Django - Video

Mar 15, 2016
by Cycles Devinci

Spring has yet to combust in the North Carolina woods - but that hasn’t stopped Evan Voss and Brandon Blakely from ripping some ultra-fun trails as of late. Fast and playful lines, you’ll find them here. As well as rock drops, random bank hits, burly step-downs, and send-it berms. It’s some jangly territory for these smooth operators, a perfect pairing for the Devinci Django.

For more than 25 years, Devinci has designed and built bikes that exceed the highest industry standards. This video present the production of the all new Django. A rare opportunity to learn more about Devinci’s expertise, live from our factory in Chicoutimi, Canada.

@viatch You do know your Troy carbon isn't made in Canada, right?
  • 3 0
My aluminum 2015 Troy frame is made in Canada though and it absolutley sends. this video shows the true to form fun of riding these new generation split pivot frames they are amazing!

@fabdemaere the carbon isnt, but the aluminum chainstays and rocker link is, assembled in canada too.

I guess Django's unchained? ..with a chain. Obviously.

So if i don't put a chain on this bike, will it be Django unchained?

not made in Taiwan..keeping it local!

Yep! One of the very few company in North America that still manufacture in-house! Unfortunately, the carbon frames are not made in Canada, but hey... the chainstay is made from aluminum, so at least that part of the bike is made in Canada! My friend just bought a Troy Carbon RS, witch is a very similar bike, only 20mm plus travel... anyway, amazing bikes for sure! By far the best deal he could get on a 2016 carbon bike.. thanks Devinci! Now I just can't wait for the start of the season here on the northern east coast!! Snow is almost gone.. a couple more weeks to dry things up a bit and we should be good to go!

@bizutch there's no need to blow up every trail in the forest just because you recognize it some of us enjoy a little peace and quiet..

oooh, yeah. all those trails are super secret and no one really rides them anyway.

I realize that @Pisgahbikebum may be speaking with tongue planted firmly in cheek, but I have never understood the 'shhhh, don't tell anyone about this trail'. Especially if it is a legal, documented and sweet trail.
  • 2 0
@Pisgahbikebum you serious? Strava, The MTB Project, Trailforks, Map My Ride, GarminConnect. Every inch GoPro'ed. There are few secrets anymore.

@ShreddieMercury: You must be really turned on by me. Thinking of me often I see.

That song was painful. And can we make it a rule to have the ambient sound included in all videos please?

Pisgah and DuPont. Going to be there this Saturday for a week for my kids spring break. Stoked to see this to get me pumped up. Lots of familiar trails that look even more amazing in an edit with riders better than I. Needed some trampled by turtles music to match the region though Smile

i think you meant corrosion of conformity Wink

looks like a great bike, but i wonder if you rode a 120/130 bike like that all day everyday how long it would last? what if you snapped it, do you think they'd be happy to replace under warranty? not trying to be negative just wondering....

They seem a bit small, especially in the first video with riders on them. The riders look huge on these bikes...or is it just me?!
  • 4 0
 Brandon is really tall.
  • 1 0
 I thought the same thing.

New bike intro video. AKA the model for what is not covered under warranty.
  • 1 0
 46 seconds...

Did anyone else notice the glove thing? Looks like they only had one pair between them.
  • 1 0
Really wish they could have included the Django Unchained soundtrack on the first video. Mute and open up this for the best viewing experience. youtu.be/uyx3T3neIDY

They put it on their instagram yesterday.... Though it's only like 15 seconds long it still bring the hype

What trail? I know its pisgah but which one!?
  • 3 0
I saw some Black Mountain trail in there
  • 3 2
The grassy place at the first looked like around Long Branch, then that next segment is someplace I've not been invited (or something in Shope I've not discovered yet), then at 1 minute to lower Black, then it looked they switched it to footage of Cat Gap/Long Branch intersection. Final part was on Micajah to Wilkie (Dupont) from the rock slab on.

@bizutch Thank you! I recognized the stair section on black mountain and that was it!

Well would you look at that....manufacturing in North America! By people that give a shit!
  • 1 0
Being a UK rider this bike would suit 90% of our trails. Modern bikes are so good now, the biggest limit is the rider.
  • 1 0
The bike better be good for it to live up to it's name!

 Atta boy EVAN!!!!! Yeew

Funny how we're getting pumped for heavier versions of the 4 year old Blur Trc that have slightly larger wheels...
