"The Pit" is an mtb-edit we shot last year with Andreas Vold. We wanted the film to be more of a visual experience than a standard edit. Music: Padawan - We Follow.
A lot of videos about supper steep riding like this struggle to convey how insanely steep the terrain actually is
this film did an awesome job of making me want to wet myself as we got the cross section shot along the ridge line with the greenery in the back ground.
WOW
Nah man, it is spot on. Make it stiffer and you're going to sacrifice performance... a properly set-up suspension will bottom out on the hardest of landings.
Stiffer fork = less performance? Someone better tell the WC guys that... personal preference is best and his setup seems to be working just fine. Those carves he gets in... damnnn
The world cup guys go Mach 8, and their forks do bottom. Believe it or not, an average rider's fork should have somewhere in the neighborhood of 30% sag.
Great piece. But I'm gonna say, when someone's heading for a big hit, don't cut to the second angle just as they hit it. It's painful. As a guy that shoots all sorts of stuff all the time, the best angle is the best angle. If you have multiple cams running, they should mostly only convey images the best angle cam can't. All rules are meant to be broken, but if you break them too much it blows the flow. Still loved it.
haha...yes...you know you ate shit really hard when you come to and you're chewing on rocks and plants inside your helmet... or at the end of a bike park day and you unload 1/4lb of gravel from out of your ass crack! haha good call on that one...
hmm...
P.s.: nice vid!
