SORCA have been working like madmen this spring. It seems like another trail gets an overhaul each week—and every time, it's for the better. This edit was filmed a few weeks ago on Kiki and parts of Crouching Monkey Hidden Squirrel, not long after one of those revamps... and yes, the trails are running scary fast.
I've always suffered terribly from ear-worms whilst riding... :-/ Seems stupid I know, but, be it a phrase, a single word or a god-awful song, it gets stuck in my head and runs over and over on a loop that drives me slowly insane, particularly on climbs...
So I started riding with a Boom-Bot Rex Bluetooth speaker running a playlist of classic rock from my phone and I just couldn't imagine riding without it now... The long climbs don't drive me insane anymore and the downs are that much more intense with a rip-roaring rock tune like Van Halen's Unchained blasting out...
Best of all, you can still clearly hear your bike and surrounding environment! Neg prop me if you want but that's how I roll to overcome that crazy mind game these days...
"totally wouldn't have crashed if all my weight wasn't on the front wheel from these stupid flat bars. Oh well, I'll just rake the gnar from the turn so I can ride it without peeing my pants."
