Yess Labs - ETR-B Preview Yess Labs - ETR-B Preview
Yess Labs, a Canadian based company with strong BMX ties, has created a revolutionary way of working with chain tensioners. Utilizing the opposite fashion of most chain tensioners, the ETR-B is pushing against the chain still, but it is mounted at the bottom bracket, compared to the rear dropouts.

Check it out.

Bionicon Edison Ltd - Bike test. Bionicon Edison Ltd - Bike test.
2 for 1 is always a great offer in the supermarkets / hypermarkets when it comes to the weekly provisions. Never something you see in your local bike store is it? Until now that is, welcome to the Bionicon Edison.

You know the score, as you're on this site and you're reading these words so there is no pulling the wool over your eyes. I can’t just say this is the best trail bike you’ll ever ride, or that I have ever ridden. That don’t cut the mustard so I’d better spend the next hour or two of my time explaining why. Please grab a seat, a cup of tea and a biscuit and have a dunk, this will only take you 5 minutes.

Fresh Meat cuts from the local corner store. Fresh Meat cuts from the local corner store.
Fresh Meat is always about the nice new shiny bits that we're trying out or want to show you from around the industry. But what about when we get hungry or need some stuff? Sometimes you're on a road trip and forget things, like gloves. So you go to the local bike shops and you drop your hard earned cash on parts. Here are some of the parts that I've bought on recent trips or seen and thought-hell ya I want/need that for one of my bikes or for me to make my riding more enjoyable. Have a look at the Shift Strike gloves, the Lizard Skin's Charger grips, Dakine's Cross X gloves, North Face's Jacket, Chromag's Seat Post Quick Release, Sombrio's Forensic Glove and of course my Goodyear MTR tires.

With the ever growing demand for wider riser bars and since the fastest DH racer in the world exclusively uses Full On bars. I knew it would be a matter of time before FUNN introduced a bar wider than 28".

Custom Love - The Transition way! Custom Love - The Transition way!
This past season I had the privilege of building two custom Transition Bicycles and understanding what's in a name.

I’ve been mountain biking for nearly 20 years now. It was only this last season that I took the turn towards full suspension. This is my story and I hope you like it.

Stuff Mike Rides #7 Stuff Mike Rides #7
I go through a lot of different bike parts and gear. Some of it wears out or breaks, some of it I really regret buying, and some of it I swear by. Stuff Mike Rides will show up every now and then, whenever I get around to writing it. All of the stuff that I don't feel like writing a 9000 word review on will be in one of these. More than anything though 'Stuff Mike Rides' will be about how things held up over the long haul.

Featured in Volume #7 is my I-Beam post and matching I-Fly seat, Troy Lee D2 carbon helmet being modeled by Cori's mom, and just for all the carbon haters out there I have my thoughts on MRP's System 3 done in full carbon!

TLD 2008 Air Gloves TLD 2008 Air Gloves
The hottest and coolest glove of (does that make sense??) 2008 will undoubtedly be Troy Lee Designs “Air Glove”. Totally revamped for this year these will be the glove of choice for every rider out there.

O.K maybe that was a slight over statement regards every rider, anyone from Alaska or Siberia click back now and go checkout the “POD” or something. Hold on, does Alaska even have electricity let alone the internet?

Riding the new Trek Remedy 9 in the Land of the Sm Riding the new Trek Remedy 9 in the Land of the Small Dogs! Part 1
Leaving the rain and gloom behind to spend three days in Mexico on Trek's latest all-mountain steed seemed like a good way to close down 2007 in style. Ok, so it was actually a few months ago now but the sun and singletrack is still fresh in my mind. Actually, I think getting to ride the new Remedy 9 with Shandro may have been my last dry ride!
