Xprezo Furax DH Race Bike Review Xprezo Furax DH Race Bike Review
by Mark Wood

It’s been six years now that the Canadian bike brand Xprezo Cycles have been hand welding race performance bikes out of their Bromont, Quebec factory. Producing less than 1000 frames per year, their focus is on craftsmanship. Described as "high performance, low maintenance" by Antoine Larose, Brand Manager of Xprezo and coach of the QC Provincial DH Team, they presently produce 12 different bikes ranging from featherlite chromoly road bikes and hardtails to full suspension models, ranging from XC, to AM, FR and now DH. What makes the new DH offering special, besides its slack angles and low slung chassis, is its use of Chromo on the rear triangle and seat mast, giving the bike a unique look and some dynamic ride characteristics.

After three months of heavy use, the bike did a number of things well, most aptly, going fast...

2010 Rocky Mountain Flatline World Cup - Review 2010 Rocky Mountain Flatline World Cup - Review
I had been looking forward to putting some time on Rocky Mountain's new 2010 Flatline since my first introduction at Crankworx '09 in Whistler. The original design was a bit portly and only excelled on the hairiest of tracks, but this new version was said to be an entirely different beast. With less weight and a revised LC2R suspension system, the new and improved Flatline looks to remedy those issues while still holding onto its title as king of the gnarly terrain.

Yeti 303R DH - Linear Rail Technology! Yeti 303R DH - Linear Rail Technology!
Most people would use the reference "tribe" to describe a civilization hiding deep in the South African jungle, that only feed off of fire ants and boiled frogs. However, there is one company inside the cycling industry that refers to their customer basis as the Tribe. They come from all walks of life - racers, artists, hippies, adventure junkies, beer swillers, priests, lawyers, construction workers, shamans, cops, robbers, and buddhists. If you, or your friends own a Yeti, then you're part of the tribe.

Yeti has a specific patent for their own bikes that utilizes rail technology to control shock rates, and wheel paths. The 303 and 303R-DH are the two bikes that share this technology.

And why not throw some all new 2009 parts onto it? If this doesn't get your heart going, you may want to see a doctor. Click here to get all the details on the new generation of SX Trail bikes.

2009 Norco Team DH 2009 Norco Team DH
In the past if you wanted a top spec’d DH race bike you had to go out of your way to build it up with competitive parts that would help you win races. Quite a few companies were making nice complete bikes, but no one was making a no holds barred, spec’d to the max “stock” bike. This meant that you would have to buy the bike that was closest to what you wanted or go buy the frame of your choice and build it up from there. The process of spec’ing your DH race bike is the most costly thing you can do when getting ready for the season. What if you could buy a whole bike that was fully race ready and no spec had been over looked? Just drop the cash, roll out and pin it!

This is where the new Norco Team DH comes into its own. Learn more about this WC DH Spec’d race machine inside…
