 I agree. Watched every race on redbull last year. Try to watch the new format with discovery. I Cant get into it. Gwin is cool to listen to. That’s my positive

 I really hated the fact that, of the very limited coverage of each run, they kept interrupting it to show the team manager's face. So distracting - just getting into the race then bam! some random dude's face I don't know or care about. Just show the run it's not a youtube 'reaction video'

 Gwin is so dang good on the commentary. Almost makes me want to pay and watch the finals, I might do it if he were to stay on commentary.

Just spotting everything and giving really good insight. That last point about Loic switching up one of his lines from earlier in the week potentially based of Benoit’s crash is not something we could not get without him.

 Is it possible to leave only Gwin as a commentator?
He is calm, on point and valuable. Cedrik and that other guy just screaming the time, stating something very obvious...just keep irritating

 Decided to try to watch this coverage again today….just can’t. The frustration of how bad the coverage is overshadows any enjoyment of watching the racing. Camera placement sucks, editing and cuts are brutal, drone poorly executed and gimmicky, commentary meh. Can’t follow a run at all, only see highlights basically of the start and last quarter of the run. Plus the whole semi final format is just odd. As an avid fan for decades discovery has ruined it for me.

 Is this a joke? 15 second of coverage of the start line and then cut straight to the finish line? What is the point of even watching this?

 IF you look at the live timing, there are two people on course when someone starts. I wonder if they are finishing the first rider, showing the second rider start pre-recorded and then skip ahead to where they actually are.

 @Sscottt: Yep - I'm seeing 4 and sometimes 5 riders 'InRace' at a time in Live Timing...

 @suspended-flesh: it looks like 1 minute intervals for the back 2/3, switching it to two minute intervals and then the final 5ish are three minute intervals. Crazy if someone would actually need medical help on their run.
They are also showing people who finished about 3 minutes ago on the TV feed.

 I've not really bothered with the semi's after the first race either. They need televised qualifying followed by the final. Sorted.

 What on earth has happened to the coverage? Its like they have left a camera on in a car looking out side ways. Very strange

 How the frick are they not going to show the entire middle of the track? Skipping the most interesting rock sections

 They are starting them at 1 minute intervals. They can't show the entire run. Neko was first and they DID show his entire run.

 Gaps are much tighter during semis than during finals

 @Sscottt: that was still the case with Red Bull TV they just actually bothered to get full runs on the stream. What you’re watching on the stream wasn’t actually live, it was like 1-2min behind so they could show full runs rather than this BS

 @pierceklinke: I thought Redbull's reputation was that they only showed full runs of people with certain helmets. And even then, they only had 2/3 the course with a camera on it. Discovery did show near full runs of the final riders when there was sufficient time between runs.

 Did that drone cause Dak to crash? It was flying right on top of him right before he slid out. Trying to focus on your riding and having that thing buzzing right near you?

 Amazing seeing Dakota crash and still swing into 5th. Am I the only one who loooves watching this??? I'm on the edge of my seat, pinkbike comments make me think something is wrong with me

 Anyone else notice Adrien Dailly on an Antidote Dark Matter? Commentator said it was a Lapierre prototype, but looks like an Antidote to me, especially on his IG stories.

 Seems like the Lapierre's team were on "blackened" Santa Cruz V10's waiting for the forthcoming new dh bike. I saw an article about that. A blackened bike can look like a Dark Matter ;-)

 @danstonQ: it was more than it just being blackened. It was because of the linkage and frame design, which is quite unique to the Dark Matter (I have one)

 Interesting TV moment. After Greenland finished 20th, they cut to a nice spectator couple with a Kiss Cam moment. Apparently they were happy Laurie finished so far back. And people said the TV footage was bad...

 Did pinkbike racing just get purposely snubbed by the gcn broadcast? They fully cut away for Tibaut Laly's semi finals run.

 Walking up and down it didn't seem flat to me, I saved a beer just for the climb back up!
