Uhhhh, Did we just watch some dude break his f*cking neck at 49 seconds? That did NOT sound good.
  • 4 2
f**k may be, I've rewatched it loads of times and can't see anything else that could have made that sound except his head/neck hitting the ground
  • 5 0
you'd think he'd be paralyzed from the neck down and not able to hold his head in his arms... more likely he just broke the helmet
  • 8 0
Yeah, that made me feel sick watching that.
  • 7 0
Nah, he did break the visor off his helmet though, and maybe he banged his face pretty hard, too......

@theamir: Dan Atherton broke his neck and held his own head still until the paramedics arrived.
  • 1 0
looked like the chin was tucked, like he half rolled and then slid it out
  • 7 0
I can't watch these any more. Time to hang it up already.
  • 1 0
must admit replayed it try to figure out the same. Was it bike or? Guessing bike cuz he's moving after.

 best comment ever right here
  • 13 0
but if I ride this drop super slow one more time i'm positive I'll get it right!!!
  • 4 0
Great saying but not from Einstein. Just for future reference.

@ 2:15 - "Oh, bad berm." Nope, shit mountain biker. haha
  • 2 0
He rode into it absolutely straight up and said it was bad. I thought to myself “he’s going to ride into the next one straight up and go right over”. Then he did… where are the riding buddies, where is the advice

Yeah, that head one sucked - but can we hear it for all of the kids in the video? Way in over their heads, f*cking with each other. Laughing at each other ragdolling, laughing at themselves. That's the good stuff right there. Pure joy. Enjoy it while you are still bouncy kids!
  • 1 0
Kids are made of Play Doh and rubber bands luckily
  • 11 0
Dude in the green top at 2.45, oh yes!
  • 1 0
Anyone out there remember the "Ball Frog" if anyone needed one its this guy Kermit.
  • 9 0
Honestly I'd count 3:20 as a Sunday Save compared to what it could have been.
  • 10 0
Backflip crash/save is me. It was pretty chill.
  • 2 0
That was pretty slick. Nice save.
  • 1 0
 @tacoma73: Brilliant bail.
  • 7 0
Yo.... :48 in... is that sound the bike, sticks, his neck, or a combo of all three?
  • 9 0
Holy hell. Some people need to ride closer to their talent level or remove their front brake.
  • 4 0
2.44 in is the only clip in years of watching Friday Fails that has ever made me want to comment - comedy f**king gold right there, i'd die happy if that was the last thing I ever saw
  • 1 0
I want a translator to know what word he gurgled as he was giggling
  • 5 1
Dad of kid at 2:00, you deserve a kick in the nuts. At least lower the seat to set them up for success! Knee pads wouldn’t be a bad idea either. No one wants to hear kids in pain.
  • 1 0
Yeah at 2:00, the beginning of the sentence is "I don't think it's a..."
  • 6 0
0:44 that's not how you play chicken.
  • 6 0
Ah shit:-( @ 50 seconds did not look good.
  • 2 0
His whole face disappeared! Did his helmet break? How did his helmet get on his face?!?
  • 7 0
 SOlid kurva at :24
  • 2 0
Kids getting a minor scuff trying to play chicken = kinda funny.
Dude landing on his head and holding his neck = not funny at all.
It got sent it though, presumably by one of the guys buddies so, hopefully he was OK.

I filmed 1:09 (the highlight image). That was a chopper ride out with a handlebar stab to the groin about 4" deep. Gushing blood in the crotch and my hand with heavy pressure on it for about 25 minutes!
  • 2 0
I hope your friend is ok. Good on you to keep him alive. Good reminder not to take a jump like that without a buddy to help in case its needed.
  • 1 0
@dmartien: thanks. He's ok. About 6 weeks off the bike but back on it now. I agree about not riding solo when possible. This little jump looked like nothing but the dry conditions really make things slippery.
  • 2 0
@sandiegotrent: man, it's dry out there. I've seen a lot of falls due to the dust. Glad your friend is back on the bike.
  • 2 0
Wow, that's exactly the injury I imagined when I first saw that crash. Did he not have any bar plugs installed? Glad to hear your buddy is okay now.
  • 2 0
@Rodeodave: actually revgrips so large metal ends about 35/36mm diameter. Blunt force entry through jersey, shorts, chamios, underwear as well.
  • 4 0
That backflip to feet at 1:15 is a win in my book. Any day.
  • 1 0
Great mix of mtb and parcour skills, dude created a new hybrid sport
  • 3 0
The poor fellow @ :48 ... that was a tough one.

And 1:53 - "You're alright." That had to be Dad. lol
  • 4 0
2:50 Cheech & Chong going riding high .
  • 3 0
another 2-part theme this week - running into trees and banging heads on shit business as usual
  • 3 0
The trees were angry that day, my friends. Like an old man trying to send back soup in a deli
  • 1 0
The more of these I watch, the more I have to wonder: what would have happened if this had gone well?! I'm genuinely not sure what was supposed to happen in so many of these crashes!
  • 3 0
Shirtless with a full face seems like an oxymoron... ...or maybe just the latter
  • 1 0
If I close my eyes at 1:27, all I can hear is the sound of a shopping cart rolling through the parking lot. Is that a red flag or am I just way too picky about the sounds my bike makes?
  • 1 0
Oh man, i thought he is doomed basically by the sound
  • 1 0
0:53 Rare instance of a tree helping instead of hurting? Looked like a soft-ish hit that prevented a trip down the embankment.
  • 3 0
:51 is that the scene from Aliens with it connected to his face?
  • 2 0
 That wooden roller coaster crash just insane;

Also folk at the begining with and his neck - should be censored probably
  • 1 0
I like the girl sitting beside the trail at :53. Likely watching Friday fails on her phone and then… guy goes straight to the rhubarb.
  • 1 0
At 1:11 seems like a minor fall but was airlifted out. Handlebar to the thigh and opened him up a bit. He should probably not ride a spur and go jump.
  • 1 0
My video... It was ugly. The spur can handle a 2' jump. My buddy is good on the DH, but as graceful as a baby giraffe walking on the jumps!
  • 1 2
Seems that this Friday fails think has run its course. When people crash and the first thing they say is ‘I think i got that on camera’ we need to question. So many people get excited about maybe getting on Friday fails…while their friends are recovering from multiple fractures.

Who the f”ck wants to see kids slam their faces into the ground?
  • 1 0
That crash at 50 seconds made me feel sick. Definitely potential spinal injury territory. Hope he was okay. That one's a bit too real for my stomach.
  • 2 0
 I don't know.. 1:13 was pretty smooth
  • 10 0
Backflip bailout to feet. That's a Sunday save IMO.
  • 2 0
Don't worry, the ground will stop your fall.
  • 2 0
I wonder if we heard more bones or frames snap this week?
  • 2 0
0.45 wtf was the plan here?
  • 1 0
0:15 Bummer, that guy was reading the intro script and crashed right into a tree.
  • 1 0
That really did it for me this week. Well done folks!
  • 1 0
 George, George, George-of-the-jungle!
  • 1 0
2:40 maybe move the freaking tractor.
  • 1 0
 This was brutal!
  • 1 1
 This week seems extra brutal
