gr8 gr8 pic! one of the best POD's ive seen! to all the a*sholes that say that its photoshopped : ur just jealous cos u'll never be able to pull a trick as beatiful as this one n ur rubbish photographers - the photograph obviously has a gd cam and put it in a multiple snap shot mode - n u people obviously dont know how hard it is to photoshop a picture! get lives n stop saying shit about gr8 pics!!!!
Definatly photoshopped. Theres no way that guy could have 7 identical brothers, all wearing the same clothes, and all riding that close together, attempting a 360. No way. /sarcasm.
Lame. Tricks are for kids. BMX has that situation covered, as of like two decades ago. MTB needs to wake up and quit friggin' getting all starry eyed over simple spins and damn ABUBACAS and stuff. If I see another MTB Abubaca I'm going to throw up in my own mouth. There is nothing special about this spin. I have seen it a million times. Show me nature, pansies. Where's the trees kids?
POD is not only about the trick. Its also about the photography. In this particular picture the editing and sequence are done very well, making it POD worthy.
I really couldn't agree with you more man. Sure, tricks are cool, but not when it's the only thing people ever do any more. I want to see pictures of people actually riding in the woods, riding real trails, and not just riding jumps on hardtails that might as well be BMX bikes. And now all of the kiddies who think that tricks are the most amazing thing ever are going to tell me that "ur ghey" and other wonderfully constructed critisims. That all being said, I do love the picture, I think it's fantastic, and it is great to see guys out there shredding on their bikes. I'm just getting sick and tired of people buying single speed, fully rigig hardtails with semi-slick tires and calling them mountain bikes.
Hey Idiot(under the name cod51), if this is how you feel, then you are on the wrong site for sure! Maybe you should try one of those XC-weight-weenie sites like MTBR.com
actually, refering to my tech buddies the shot was taken using a high speed shutter. Put all the shots on one page and make them see through to a certain % and you end up with a shot like this. The camera has to be mounted on a tri pod else the background would be blurred. my 2 cents
this photo is photo shopped each part of the sequence is photo shopped if you look at the guy hes photo shopped but he DID acually do 360 and he really did do it good but the ionly way to make a sequnce is to put a background then stitch in the person... its photoshopped but he really is hella cool and this should be POD
ok yes it is photoshopped in terms of piecing the frames together, but really, does that even matter? so what if the person who did it wasn't amazing at digital editing, the move is sick and the angle is sweet. the only way to improve it would be being better at editing, but otherwise its sick and rightfully deserves POD.
i love the fact theres so many opinionated no brain morons on this website... like the numbnuts that who dont know a thing about digital editing, location, and the trick thats being pulled but make a big deal about embarassing themselves in front of everyone.
u are totaly rite, people that think the image is photo-shoped and is there for a fake are wrong. the pic is edited, all the still shots are palced ontop of each other
thats a sick pic man but it not an ally op srry ally op is when you spin the oposite direction of the ramp so you would in this case spin to the left not right but man sick pic POD!
Finally, a picture worthy of P.O.D! There have been a couple good ones I'll admit, but this one takes the cake! Awsome riding and keeep up the amazing riding!
P.S Anything alley-oop is awsome!
These guys are saying photo shopped, he probably got a video of it then took each seen and put it in to show the whole thing. Only way it is photo shopped is to make it have that effect. Guaranteed he actually did that
ok i'm in the multimedia business, and I can say that shadows can be photoshopped quite easily if you know how, and yes that photo could be photoshopped. However, i doubt it is photoshopped, why would anyone bother? I assume it's taken with an SLR and a particular lens, maybe wide angle.
no idea about the technical aspects of the shot but i do know the location is wrong. Its not in victoria its actually in whister at the crankworx festival, or maybe he ment he lives in victoria??
richie6 is right about location, even if it's not crankworx, it's def. Whizzla - there's even the W stencil on that wall, or maybe THAT was photoshopped in- awesome trick anyway, props
it real, yes it photo shopped, its the only way you can make a sequence with that many frames. this does not mean its fake. its not crankworx is airprentice. shrew shreds, you pinkbike newbbz are really smart.
-stubs-
Well done sequence, not bad for a prairie boy from Lethbridge, Shrew seems to be following in the footsteps of a certain Chump. Good work shrew well deserved. Nice alblum too.
HEY EVERYBODY!!!11one LET'S ALL EMAIL SHREW AND TELL HIM HOW SUPER GOOD HE IS OMG OMG OMG I HAVE HIM ON MSN AND I GO BIKING WITH HIM ALL THE TIME. JEALOUS!!11onemO!P!PPP!!!!
Nice picture, but nevertheless it's Photoshopped, the rider would be transparent otherwise, if it would have been a double exposure seriee. But who cares! All these serie-photos of tricks are cool, and NEED to be stiched in PS ...
whats wih all the "PHOTO SHPED shit is it like not posable to be a good rider just cuz there way better then u some ar ya but this one isnt so shut up.... and im prity sure thats i whistler
it must've been hard work getting all eight people to look alike and dress alike and jump alike and... I dont want to imagine what would happen if they all crashed.. I seen it so its gotta be real!
alas... perhaps some don't fully understand the art of well-timed sarcasm. Sorry it didn't go over so well, biker 123469.
Unless you were serious, in which case you're a muppet.
