I think that its a really great picture. Not like some pictures that the rider seems frozen, this one really can be filed as an action shot. Great dude!
pod could also have stuff like these...
pod is not all about tricks and massive lines
it could also be about these ordinary riders having fun and their photos posted to this site and some people are touched or somehow inspired by it and thats all that matters.
you dont get it cuz your probably an awesome rider.
lol some comments make me laugh, so to sumerise the comments, " im wheeling down the hill and round a corner whilst manualing with my back brake on skidding on a chopper" hehe keep them coming.
its slack coz its got a 63degree head angel.. same as hills and brends bike had.
Anyways, NICE ONE JERONE , YOUR WORK IS AWESOME, Hope to see more off it in the furture bud. think you could make pod with other shots you have aswell.
The physics of turning a bike are ridiculously complicated. Sometimes all the weight (as here) wants to be on the rear wheel, sometimes on the front with the rear wheel on vacation, and sometimes somewhere in between. How do you intuit which is right? Somehow you just KNOW. Wicked.
Here the Boxxer is (fully?) out and the rear (Sunday's are 8in?) is about 65% (?) compressed.
It can be modeled using a second order ODE, all that is needed is the inertia of the wheels, bike, and center of gravity of each, including the rider, as well as the position he is in relative to the bike.
Funny. But seriously... "Who cares?" Anyone and everyone who rides a bike ever. You may not THINK ABOUT IT in those terms, but you DO IT none the less. Thinking about things more clearly can help you do it better.
Molecular structure (adjusts nerdy self-image) has a great deal to do with it. Tacky tires vs. hard rubber for instance. Triple compound tires, etc. Surface quality of the track is completely bound up with the abundance and temperature of water and its peculiar chemical characteristics. Fun stuff to help us all ride better.
Thanks for making my point. You don't THINK ABOUT IT in those terms, however you DO IT none the less. It's common knowledge and has nothing to do with POD. This isn't a Bio or Chem lab. Life must be really boring to look at a photo and be thinking about about that.
I don't like the black and white factor they are what I like to call Facebook Tools. Well they take AWAY from the picture if anything use color and a soft focus
