pietryna if someone even try to do that drop Ben De Roni did there on a hardtail, is a dead man. That is an Rm Switch frame, and even the shock broke when he landed, if i remember it correct.
Btw this POD is okay, only problem is that i seen so much pictures from this drop its not interesting anymore for me, but still, super nice shot!
lol @ribo88 the link that pietryna posted is of a crazy russian dude that has done a front flip on a hardtail off a drop just as big as this pod. that guy crashed many times trying and finally nailed it and never did he die.
i'm sure this jump and angle has been POD before but the rider was doing an x-up out of it? i might be wrong though, still a sick picture and props to the rider for doing this!
yeah, there was the x-up shot too... and then a couple of years back, there was like the frame before this one that my mate took just as I took off (this one's every so slightly later)... www.pinkbike.com/photo/1409850 I think the drop's actually got a bit more length to it since then, but it could be the angle. Either way it's still massive.
That crash mat is a little optimistic, if you're hitting that you're in trouble. better than nothing I suppose. I know a gap / drop is massive when I look at the cliff he's jumping off and think "hmmm, that'd be ok for a bit of rock climbing" Actually that would of been a cool addition to the photo, a climber bouldering on the rock...
Nice one that a cool looking drop. Soo many resorts could build similar drops if they wanted to. It could be used in summer and winter seasons, but most mtns have no balls for these things.
that drop is so amazing its location is godly for pictures like this one! also here another picture of another rider dropping it www.pinkbike.com/photo/5832284
