Selected by Tyler Maine - While this is not an amazing shot with perfect light and so on, I believe that it is a shot that 97% of us can relate too from a riding experience of our own.
Wicked no foot can variation!! Interesting choice of jumps to try it on though. The leg jam landing definitely adds style points and creativity. Extension could have been better, but great effort regardless. If I were a teacher (which I am clearly not), I would grade this trick combo at a B+. Congratulations!! I am out of gold stars unfortunately, so you will have to settle for an all expense paid trip....... to the hospital.
WoW tha is quite shocking, Reminds me of myself, hehe. I dont get on well with tree stumps myself, Fair play to the lad, pretty spectacular @Recklessness, I loved reading your comment great pic
I AGREE WITH FALLEN55. SOME KID'S LOGIC ON THIS SITE MAKE SENSE NEVER..
WHY DOES JUMPINGMAN HAVE SO MANY NEGATIVE VOTES? HE IS JUST AS SARCASTIC AS RECKLESSNESS.. I BET PEOPLE DON'T EVEN READ THESE COMMENTS AND JUST RANDOMLY CLICK UP OR DOWN HERE.
I am pretty sure jumpingman probably doesn't care much about his negative props. Mostly because props have no meaning and influence absolutely nothing that actually matters.
I wish I could meet everyone that threw a negative vote at Spoonyman, Jumpingman, and Fallen55, face to face and ask them one simple question, "Do you even have a brain?"
I cant believe your comment has over 90 upvotes... this site has the humor of a 6 year old....................THIS IS SOOOOTRUE...And the fact it got like 10 million negative prop things you people make pinkbike into the biggest pile of jizz in the world
Cant everybody just stop arguing and wait for tommorows pod to come and bitch about that instead............? or even better just put a sock in it and only have positive comments to the photographer and rider....?
I'm with Allan. Why bitch about Picts you had nothing to do with. On the other hand I think any real rider has had one of those oh shit moments. and I mean real rider by who ever goes out and tries there hardest whether your on a walmart bike or a 2000 dollar norco. Don't matter what you ride as long as you have fun doing it.
I think the fact my reply was actually relevant to the first comment and not just stuck onto the first comment so I'd be near the top may have been a little too complex and confused the neg proppers!
.... I sense a few trolls in the force..... Anyone think Pinkbike should have a Most Proped and Most Negative Proped comment of the week, month maybe? lol
Whilst I agree with your attitude, the camera that took this will be well over $1300 including lenses. It's a video screenshot, hence the 1920x1080 frame size
Doorknob, You're so dumb, a screenshot is a pic of a video.. lets understand that, so you're assuming a $1300 camera or lower was being used, where you maybe right, you're probably not, if you look in the photos of silvia films profile it'll show they use a 7d or 5d mark 2. Costing roughly $1700-$2900 plus whatever lens they used, which will more than likely be a high end expensive bit of glass.
So calling Elliot gay from fizzy, get your fact right before even thinking you know what you're on about. You dont.
I think everyone needs to enjoy a nice chilled tea. I think everyone agrees that they like the fact that this isn't a professional awesome picture, it's a cool picture taken by some bikers.
Holy crap my wife doesn't even bitch this much when she is on her rag. Grow up and talk a out the pict not what camera was used or how much it cost. Don't think that was the point.
Bummer... sometimes it is a bad idea going out in a tee without elbow guards or a chest protector! You never know what you run into until it happens. Be smart always be prepared.
i find it funny all the comments made about Karls crash , considering these are the guys that do Silvia films that evryone raves about..half of you guys would be hard pressed to follow either of these guys down any trail..Karl hope you ok bud and keep shredin hard!
How often do you get to see a picture of what exactly went wrong before you bailed? Must be kinda cool, especially one that totally captures the point of no return :p hope the guy's okay!
Hey Tyler I .can see what your saying
About the lighting, if I come over and
Sort the lights out for the shot, would
Guys have another. Crack at it.
Good observant and attention for
Detail though bro re the light
I think many people should just learn to have their own opinion, including giving props, instead of just doing what the majority does, c'mon guys this is the point of Pinkbike, be yourself!
pay attention everybody. notice his commitment. he has not yielded the grip on his handle bars. This man reminds me of my own silly commitment even when the Earth, Gravity, or if my Giante (aka Giant) disagree's with me lol
awh fuck i feel his pain his back mustof been fucked when he landed id say he wears body-protection now even tho body-protection feels ''gay'' its worth the hastle of wearing it.....
Heinz=poser crybaby & lost a left nut while trying to out run Ian; while still trying to beg for sympathy from Pinkbike members who observed this crash in action.
Yeah it was pretty much the same thing except I was upside down at that point and slamming into another tree with my shoulder probably 6 feet off the ground, and then I fell on my head, and then the bike fell on me and impaled me. Look at my 2011 album.
What ever he maybe thinking it isnt gunna stop him from having one hell of a crash. I dont think I have ever managed to get in that kind of a mess with my bike. And I do a lot of crashing.
But you have to give him the thumbs up for still holding on to the bars thinking he can pull it back.
