and the price for a frame is really acceptable; compared to last, kona, raaw and many other 29" manufacturers (even if there are different frame designs with different suspension concepts)

But you can say what you want, private bikes attract interest. After all, almost 300 comments have already been sent. I think that's a good sign. If no one was interested in the new privateer gen2 design, there would hardly be any comments. I'm starting to like the kink.

Privateer is such a great company, always friendly and so helpful with great service! They build great well thought out bikes (I own a 141 and a 161) which work just fine. Aside from that I like how they look, gen 1 and also gen 2. I owned so many good bikes (Giant ATX dh, Foes Weasel, (old) Polygon, Transition Patrol and others) but Privateer just got me. Compared to other companies their price is really acceptable - hope this won't change for gen 2. And yes, please stick with aluminum. Black and raw are the best!

I think the Tioga bars had 28.6 mm and not 25.4mm. I still have an old ATX dh bike myself in the basement with FOX Vanilla damper, Tioga stem and bar and tyres, Boxxer 151 etc. I guess almost 20 kg. I never had the heart to sell it.
