Well gosh, I've got ~$900 to spend. Do I get the Marin or just buy the Gemeni bars and run down the trail holding them in front of me? I'd probably be faster up the tech climbs with just the bars.

No thanks. I’m gonna wait for the flexy one-piece carbon Fasst/Gemini handlebar lovechild that costs $1,000.

Really, crank condoms need to be highlighted again?

Loving that Calibre. You could upgrade the fork and shock and have a top notch ride for (comparatively) peanuts.

That Marin looks hot and ready to rag.

Fantasise about that Push shock

Here's a thought - put one of those Gemini bar/stem thingies on the Calibre... Hawt...

We should put $5000 in components on a $500 frame, and $500 in components on a $5000 frame, and see which is better.

@brianpark: I think the biggest challenge there would be trying to do a complete build for $500...

The problem with upgrading the suspension is the price. It is usually the most expensive upgrade you can do as the market prices are quite high.

So I get the upsides of a flexy handlebar but downsides? Are there none? Cuz I haven’t heard of any really...

Hey, anyone know where I can get crank boots that will actually fit GX??
  • 2 2
Race Face small size for mine perfectly. 2017 GX 11 speed cranks.

 Ask a 3D print guy

@yzedf: Eagle 12s, the fat ones.
  • 2 2
Why would you even put crank boots on an alu crank?

@satansdog: longevity in rocky terrain? Resale value? Vanity? Take your pick I guess...

This is why I love mountain bike's.

If that Marin was a frame only I would be ordering one right now.

Maybe buy the lower end version, $850 for the whole bike, and you have a slew of spare parts!
  • 1 0
We should all ride a Push!
  • 4 4
Yup, he looks crazy enough ask someone to put an oval ring on a bike.
