 Video: 90 seconds of riding down stairs…
  • 18 1
 It's literally called Stair Chase! What were you expecting?
  • 1 1
 @RonSauce: Maybe some tacos too

 This shot brings back memories... Riding stairs, urban concrete and unridable hiking trails was the norm as an aspiring MTBer in early 90s living in HK.

 Wow how did they get the 7miliion people of Hong Kong to stay home that day

 I’m not trying to start a big argument but you asked the question. Just Google Zero-Covid policy in China 2022. You can come to your own conclusions.

 Early morning with just few takes. He did whole youtube series about this shooting..

 Whoever hit the down vote, please explain your reasoning. The PB comment section never ceases to amaze me. You answer a question based on facts pointed out by all non and mainstream media outlets, left and right and you get downvoted. I wish mobile PB provided receipts when someone downvotes your comment. Put that on my Christmas list. Awesome video btw. The drone footage was very cool.

 @RevedOut: not trying to start an argument, but you asked the question. You didn’t provide any factual information, just a directive to search for public health policies from last year. Not really helpful or relevant to a video that was more recently filmed.

 @pmhobson:
Thank you for the reply! You are correct. I was not offering any facts at all. I was just offering food for thought that relates to this video while trying not to stir the pot too much. I really do like the footage and the riding is awesome. The shooting of MTB videos in China and promoting them like Covid didn’t come from China and destroy so much in our world is completely insane to me. What is amazing to me is how quickly the world moves on and forgets.

Let me have it Snowflakes! At least man up and post your PB name to my comment before you downvote me. Thanks!

 @RevedOut: I'm no expert, but as far as I know, COVID did come from China. They didn't seem to have much luck stopping it, but I haven't heard of anywhere that managed to completely shut it down. But hey, correct me if I'm mistaken.

 @RevedOut: Fun fact. Spanish flu, which killed far more people than Covid, originated in the US. Do you think we should boycott edits produced there?

 @commental: Great point but I didn’t live through the Spanish flu so it didn’t effect me. You can boycott edits made in the U.S.
  • 2 3
 @ILv2MTB: Agreed. It came from China and yes you are correct. +1

 @RevedOut: well, I think the people of hk suffered disproportionately. 1) looming china control (covid effectively ended demonstrations supporting democracy) 2) tiny flats 3) a fear that in such a densely populated island any uncontrolled spread would be the worst the world would see 4) a belligerence amongst old people to rely on 'traditional' medicine. HK is mostly a place getting back on its feet and living again (restrictions remained in place for a very long time) and the riding scene is ok but not as great as it could be. It's great to see an edit from there and I'm sure it has nothing to do with CCP

 @RevedOut: “Food for thought” or unchecked impulse to engage in a lil trolling? Maybe lay off the Joe Rogan podcasts buddy!

 Maybe look into who removed restrictions on gain of function research too......

 @RevedOut: DV for you tough guy Wink

 @RevedOut: it came from a china lab, but was funded by US money, to circumvent US ban on gain of function research.. somehow you remembered first part, but not the second.. It is amazing how quickly you forgot and moved on. Maybe you should be boycotted until you (and whoever is your representative to the world) apologise to the whole world…. Hmmm..
  • 1 4
 @GZMS: I agree with you. The U.S. did fund it and I don’t support the $hitbags who sent the money. I’m also not a supporter of the country that actually did the research.

What’s up with the hostility / boycott? I’m not censoring your opinions. Can’t I have mine and we can agree to disagree?
  • 1 3
 @naptime: Now you’re getting somewhere.
  • 1 4
 @peetyjay: If trolling is adding my opinion to an open comment section after I watched the video, then we all are trolling. At least add some depth to the conversation rather than insulting me.
  • 1 3
 @dirtyburger:
+1 for manning up.

We agree to disagree and that’s fine by me.

 @RevedOut: your opinion that filming in china and promoting the video is completely insane, so yes you call for boycott of chinese product/place/people.. so why not boycott US made videos, or anyone promoting US (eg you, with the flag)?

 You guys are finally gonna solve what happened with covid, that's amazing

 some amazing trails in HK, would be rad to see him ride some of the good stuff!

 Any tips? Always end up Mui Wo when I visit and it's lovely but keen for anything else.

 He makes it look so damn easy, ugh. Great riding

 This is apparently how he trains in the off-season. All those wins don't come out of nothing.

 @vinay: The bunny hopping down that long stair case over and over and over... whew...
  • 7 2
 Would have been better with him trying to out ride Chinese censorship, that would have take more skill and a much more respectable amount of risk.

 Hong Kong: build a trail to the top of that mountain? how about some stairs!

 Impressive riding, but the kid on Friday Fails trumps it for sheer entertainment value.

 100% - just went and watched it because of this comment

 90-Seconds of this style of riding is about all Tomas Slavik can do before he hits the reduced suspension servicing interval.
  • 2 1
 I assume he had permits in place for all this in HK, just given the state of things right now. I can't imagine being able to just wing it like Wibmer's stuff in Paris.
  • 2 0
 Haha, sweet! I did this in 2014. The mid levels are just a big long free shuttle for more stairs Razz
  • 2 0
 How are they able to do this? I genuinely have no idea where they learn it from
  • 2 0
 Is it just me or is the sound really weird?
  • 1 0
 I think the sound was edited by a deaf work experience kid.
  • 2 0
 It was. My thought was that it was supposed to mimic the numbed sound we would here riding through a full face. Sans chain-slap. I liked it.

 What are his rebound settings? Lol
