Hi, @chagel we know laps by comparing GPS track (and normalizing slight variations). Our approach is a bit different from the Strava segment. The user can also define exactly what he wants to track. Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions..

I see it more as efficiency. They know what they want to say about their product and how to spit it out in under 30 seconds. Attention spans are short, you need to get to the point if you want to sell something.

@piersgritten: oh give it a rest already.

1. If you'd bothered to watch the video you'd know there was no SRAM rep in this video. Watch the video before you start spewing some hate on a brand that wasn't even represented.
2. If you look into their DUB, you'd maybe realize it's pretty neat. One spindle diameter for all of their cranks, you just change the bottom bracket to match up to the bike. It's supposed to simplify things, it was just marketed extremely poorly.
3. I guarantee you the SRAM reps hate that 28.99 marketing just as much as you and everyone else on pinkbike, because someone else came up with it, and now they have to rep it like they think it's awesome.
