I'm a pretty new to mountain biking, and it's vids like this that get me pumped to become a better rider. This is one of my favorite videos on PB. Great riding, and editing on trails close to home. Can't get much better than that. Cheers!

@ fade-to-black - Not everyone can have whistler in their backyard or lift access right down the road. For us its about working with what we have and making videos riding trails that the average person can relate to and get stoked about! Thanks for watching though!

@fade-to-black I don't know if you've ever been to Rochester, but if you have ever been then you would realize that these trails are actually pretty damn nice for what we have to work with. I have been biking out west a couple if times and it makes me wish I had something like that to build on. We simply lack the abundance of open land.

What you're seeing isn't actually a knee guard. I believe it is a knee brace from a previous injury.

yes i know one is a knee brace but why not where some sort of protection on BOTH knees if your going to do something that warrants for a $300 neck brace

@hellhound089 - I prefer to only wear knee pads on very rocky terrain or bike parks. I can still walk if I crash and scrape my knees, I will not be able to walk if I break my neck....clearly this logic makes sense.

This was filmed with a Canon 60D. All filmed at 720p. I wanted to film at 60fps so I could conform the footage to 24fps for slow motion.

yeah I now know that I'm hoping one comes out soon because I would rather canon over nikon personally

You should be able to load Magic Lantern on most any Canon camera and run 720 @60fps. You can even export in RAW with magic lantern to get an even better quality video. You just have to have SD cards with higher write rates

Also, Depending on the shot you might be able to get away with using twixtor to add a bit more slow mo. Again though, it largely depends on the shot

Most canon slrs shoot 720p at 60fps natively without magic lantern. If you have to have 1080p 60fps I've heard great things about the GH3
