  • 13 1
I thought they'd actually made it bigger this year..

I love it when someone asks a question on pinkbike and they get neg propped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you neg prop this, its proof that pinkbike is becoming a social media site.

-5 means that pinkbike is now apart of social media! Thank you.
  • 8 2
-100 if you like to ride bikes!
  • 6 1
AlexArmanetti, nothin against you but u gotta pull ur seat out of ur ass
  • 7 1
AlexArmanetti, you weren't neg propped because it is a social media site now, you were neg propped because everyone disagreed with your comment. Then on the second one you were neg propped because you were being an ass hole.
  • 4 1
pinkbike has always been a social media site, it allows you to share photos, discuss different topics and ideas and all that fun stuff, so dont say "social media" like its a bad thing.
  • 3 2
@Patrick9-32 @socalbomber @webby01, My point that I'm trying to convey is that pinkbikers are constantly giving crap to those who just bring up what they see. I didn't argue saying that the canyon gap is smaller, I said that it appeared smaller. I could be wrong, but it was a simple observation that didn't require to be neg propped. Even Bas Van Steenbergen said that it looked smaller to him than what he has seen in videos. Simple. The second one I understand. @socalbomber Pull your head out of the clouds and then figure out who is wrong here. I know that this is going to get neg propped, but it will further prove my theory that pinkbikers refuse to argue with me in a concise and clear manner.
  • 1 0
Seems like you take these negative props too seriously dude , kinda like people do on social media sites like facebook.

Who gives a f*ck if you get neg propped ?
  • 1 2
@bigburd I am simply observing the behavior of pinkbikers in the wild. I was told that I needed to put my findings in a journal but since I don't have one...
  • 1 0
Everybody has plenty of curiosity in their minds, so what's wrong if you got neggpropped? Everybody clicks "show comment", so got neggpropped for "nothing" isn't that bad at all!
  • 2 0
@alexarmanetti i understand that haha and it kind of does have an appearance that is smaller, but its the rant afterwards why i said that
  • 2 1
@socalbomber I understand that. I was overstating my point quite a bit. I get heated up with constant neg props and that stupid stuff. haha
  • 1 0
 i gave u a positive prop haha

I don't think I saw one LEO(blm, police, ranger, etc) the entire time!
I didn't notice any fights, vandalism, idiots. ..

Up next on Pinkbike, a recap OF the recaps of Rampage!
  • 12 1
just curious being seein a lot of buzz about cam zink & kyle straihts big win ,,,but nothing about Kelly McGrrys big flip,,,just as thegripmedia refered too ,,,wonder why that is ,,,it placed him in 2nd so it was definitely a worthy flip .....I don't know !!??? those guys are nuts nuff respect to all the contestant !!!!!! RIDE HARD EVERYBODY,, KICK DIRT,, GRAB AIR & LUV EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!!
  • 11 1
the flip was sick! but the rest of his run definitely helped him get 2nd i think. plus mccaul and possibly some others were thinking of flipping it too, so it's not like it was completely insane like zinks flip where no-one else would even contemplate it.

 Dear Red Bull,

please bring the Rampage to Europe?
  • 14 38
flag limkilde (Oct 18, 2013 at 12:28) (Below Threshold)
Dear Redbull, put a limit on the size of a digging crew, and plz dont bring more wood in to the dessert. Keep it as a mountain event not a slope event.
  • 22 1
I thought they did put a limit on the trail crew. Isnt it limited to a three person trail crew?
  • 11 0
There is a limit on dig crews. Each rider gets three diggers.
  • 3 0
limit on trail crew to 3, and rules around what materials can be used including how much rebar and sandbags.
  • 16 0
What they really need is a Rampage in North America AND a Rampage in Europe or elsewhere... A Rampage Series!!
  • 5 2
Ahh ok, my fault on the crew, due to pics and movies with more than 3 people digging on a trail I thought it was still open, but I stick to the dont more wood in to the desert.
  • 4 3
there is unlikely to be a rampage style event in europe because i doubt there would be any other countries other that america willing to sell a chunk of land like that then allow people to pick axe the shit out of it.
  • 2 0
there's nothing in the scottish highlands?
  • 4 0
not many areas to carve sweet lines like in Utah and you would have to sweet talk the forestry commission big time
  • 2 0
there is no chance in a million years they would allow anything like that in the highlands. just due to the destructive nature of it to the environment which is a shame but understandable at the same time.

  • 1 0

There is some good loking spots in france , there was a video up a few months ago with some of the most amazing natural terrain , maybe one of our french friends know it ?

Think its south france and the ground is brilliant white with amazing natural peaks/dips/gulleys/cliffs.

I think it's near Fabien Barels house or some thing , there a vid of him riding it not long ago.
  • 1 0
Redbull doesnt have to leave the area "destroyed". There could be a follow up renovation effort where the trails are covered back up and more trees planted or something. With all the work that goes into it I dont think this would add that much more and it would be totally worth it if it opened up new zones.
  • 4 0
 what trees?
  • 2 0
It just depends on the area dude. Obviously, Virgin Utah has no trees. It was just a general statement.
  • 2 0
 sorry got confused there
  • 1 0
The great thing about Utah is that it's relatively easy to sculpt with hand tools compared to most places. Or at least that's the impression I get. I may be completely wrong? I can't think of anywhere in Europe that would come close. Perhaps Spain?...
  • 2 0
if it was harder to sculpt it could be a good thing in keeping natural and rugged , find it and ride it style.
  • 2 0
great pictures. especially the hotty digging. last Sunday me and my friends kept yelling 'RAMPAGE!' while we were riding jumps and it really did get us stoked knowing that these guys were out there hucking it for our enjoyment and we all hit some big stuff. I already can't wait for next year.

Anyone else who realised how unnoticed Semenuks first backflip of a flat drop with a big bike was?

What ever happened to Kirill? I was excited to watch him, but he never competed.
  • 1 0
he just didnt feel to ride the qualis as he stood on top of the oakley sender. sry cant find the link to his statement anymore Frown
  • 3 0
He said he quit because he didnt want to force himself to jump, which is understandable. I personally would be shitting down my leg into my shoes looking off the icon sender. Here is his statement, www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/Kirill-Benderoni-On-His-Rampage-Experience,664
  • 2 0
no offense to the man just watched his videos again and there not on the same scale of size and steepness as rampage i don't blame him for pulling out
  • 1 0
It's one thing having a one of big drop to hit , but rampage is on another level , in his videos he drives days just to find a one off drop or gap to hit.
Glad he was smart enough not to ride just to keep his fans/sponsors happy when he knew he wasn't up to it , could of ended up ugly..

Did not ride, sounded like from a video interview he said he did not want to do it. Too bad the interview got pulled, but here is a bit.
