Spring ’15 Freeride Collection with Brett Rheeder, Cam McCaul, Tyler McCaul, Kyle Strait and Kenny Smith. We got some great footage of our Freeride team from our spring ’15 shoot. It's always fun doing an edit when you have a team like this: Brett Rheeder, Cam McCaul, Tyler McCaul, Kyle Strait and Kenny Smith. The guys absolutely crushed it on this edit.

God dam Pinkbike these days. Trying to study for my most important exams yet is impossible with the amount awesome videos their churning out these days!!
  • 40 5
Did you ever heard of anyone becoming a great rider by studying for important exams...me neither Big Grin

//probably doesn't happen by watching videos either, but oh well...
  • 4 2
same here i have my AS exam this Friday and I'm getting way to distracted!!
  • 29 4
No Milko3D I have not. But I have heard of people learning proper grammar by studying... Just saying...
  • 4 1
In the same spot. Have a Maths Exam tomorrow morning, unable to revise because of PB.
  • 3 1
@Milko3D I'm pretty sure I read about Logan Peat being went to university a few days ago. He's a unbelievable rider.
Also for me it means going to uni in fort william. Just saying....

@onemanarmy @felimocl There are plenty of educated riders, a lot of them are also writers, photographers, editors and so on...
It was just a joke, apologies if it came across as offensive comment.
  • 3 0
 also Loic Bruni
  • 4 0
@milko3d, I don't think either of them found it to be offensive; Felimocl was just stating that riding and studying can happily coexist together. Onemanarmy was making fun of your grammar (or lack thereof Wink ) to make a point of studying in earnest if you're going to pursue further education. If somethings worth doing, it's worth doing right. So study hard, ride hard, party hard- all in due time!

That was so awesome. Seeing Kenny Smith on slickrock is a wet dream come true. Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the first shot of Rheeder sitting there, is that rock outcropping next to his face the phantom drop Dunne and Bourdon sent? That drop is absolutely monsterous.

@six66 It all makes sense now, haha.
Yesterday was a strange day, sleep deprivation does weird things to the brain Big Grin
Cheers!

Remember one of Rheeder's first edits riding a DH bike out west and he - like all easterners who make the trek - was just hanging off the back bouncing off berms all the way down the hill. Now he charges. And charges hard. So sweet.

someone get links to these edits lol
  • 1 0
did rheeder and strait shoot this ad together?
  • 12 3
Kenny Smith is a muthfu*king animal! Bout time we saw some awesome freeride/big mountain stuff on here, sick of this enduro shiteeeee.

I sure hope Rheeder didn't use any of Strait's traversing lines between features. Things might get awkward.

 Just putting this out there:

Considering how cool and colourful treks c3 riders bikes are they did a pretty shocking job of the production ones compared to other brands! 2 cents Smile
  • 2 5
There are only 2 bikes of the 5 here that are Trek ...
  • 1 2
Where else have you seen a bright blue session then?
  • 3 1
 no where that's my point
  • 3 0
totally agree man, ive always thought trek made incredible bikces for the c3 riders, and then not such a good job on the production ones, at least make limited editions or somethin, marketing trek
  • 2 1
yeah to be fair they did do the rdog ticket s which was pretty damn nice tup
  • 5 0
yeah, only one though... I´ve always liked the trek c3 bikes the best out of all, follow probably by the coastal crews sepcilizeds...
  • 2 0
I agree. Trek's park bikes are atrociously colored.
  • 1 0
The 2015 9.9 is pretty baller in person, bright red. So is the 9.8 Park in purple.
  • 2 1
@killajedi907 yeah very true if it was a nicer color I'd seriously be considering getting one Smile

@gramboh 9.8 park? Are we missing something over her in the UK? Frown
  • 5 0
Jesus Christ ! Banger Edits left and right. Thats too much for me. The perfect Whip at 2:13 is out of this World
  • 5 0
 so much radvertising
  • 2 0
Serious question--why are freeride bikes usually 160-180mm while DH bikes are 200+? These guys are getting rowdier than I've EVER seen at a DH park, by FAR.
  • 2 0
The yelling after the banger backflip at the end sounded so un-stoked. Haha, or maybe just tired after yelling for so many bangers
  • 1 0
The new Fox lineup is looking really good! I hope the new Flex Air tech trickles down quickly to mtb. If you have not checked out the Fox Demo, Nomad and Savant lines check them out.

What's kyle strait doing on a GT fury? isn't he on commencal? this is a big deal right?
  • 1 0
now you know when they shoot these kind of infomercials Smile
  • 1 0
 its his GFs Bike hahaha
  • 2 1
For a rider that is signed with Commencal he sure likes riding his old bike haha
  • 1 0
The edit was filmed before he signed with Commencal. Samples for product launches are always filmed months in advance.
  • 1 0
I did understand that beforehand, that was written in jest. Clearly no one would be stupid enough to ride their old bike while still under sponsorship with someone else and put their future sponsorship deals in jeopardy... you'd be as well shooting yourself in the foot lol
  • 2 0
Must of watched 2:36 about 15 times, that was insanely sick and stylish
  • 2 0
Yeah, I...I'll just play in the sand here...
  • 1 0
What do you call that forward flip with a head tuck? I've never seen that before... amazing.
  • 1 0
Its a no-look or blind backflip. You have seen them before I bet but they're never done quite that insane.
  • 2 0
 Yeah Tyler! Such insane whips!!
  • 2 0
Puts the 'launch' into product launch!
  • 1 0
I didn't see the rags at all since my focus was distracted with flashy moves.
  • 2 1
 unmistakable I cannot do that.
  • 10 8
 Freeride > Enduro
  • 10 10
Enduro is freeride in a certain way.. you just take your bike and go ride, goal is having fun
  • 7 2
yea i usually save my tuck/suicide no handers and whips for the enduro

/s
  • 2 1
nice looking stuff.....are there many freeride bikes left now....i thought freeride was an unused term these days.....i have a freeride bike but have noticed less of them about these days....good to see a change from all the enduro branded kit thats been everywhere the last couple of years.
