Thanks for all your comments! I have done many wrong things since he was 1 yr old and that was showing him earthed 5 (he cried everytime he saw anyone falling to the groung... until he grew old enough to say "Ooopsss..." and giving a laugh for seeing people trying hard) and buying him one of those bikes with no pedals or balancing wheels. All summed up he is now 2 yrs and cries everytime I go ride (since he would rather join on his bike or on the ... so this summer at the alps and after going for a family hike I tried using the thing on the bike.... he was obviously more than happy to follow me for a couple of runs (it was even more fun for him because he thought the chairlift was an helicopter... and you could not talk him otherwise! ) ... bottom line being this was just a ride in the park keeping the holidays also fun for him (and for my wife that had some time off for her) 99% in control... all good... of course something could happen... but it could also happen when you're just driving your car....
props to everyone... when I read the first comment I felt somehow bad with myself and wondered if everyone shared the same idea/feeling...
well hopefully next year he will be able to do some parts of the on himself... when that happens I will be nervous !
'grats on having such an awesome kid.
Looks super fun. Don't let any nay-sayers get you down. You wouldn't risk your child, we all know that, so do what you feel is fun.
Keep on rippin'
You are a great dad. Expose that little dude to the riding early, and one day you and he will be ripping the trails together. You probably won't be able to keep up with him at some point. Nice work man. You can tell he is having the time of his life.
That's really cool man, nice to let your kid join in like that, i'm sure any responsible dad and experienced DHer would take it easy with their kid on their back!
so what now you saying all canadians are dumbass's you havee no right to say that your countrey elected bush twice in a row and let him stay there for 8 years well the rest of the world looked on in pain
lol it says in slow motion lol soo that means hees taking it easy so he dont come off and there both havin loads of fun?:s soo wots your problem people? i think its a good idea.
ok, So we've all seen that POD with that guy with the baby on his back, and you all bitched about that, so how about, we just dont bitch about this one? it will not help anything, so i say...SICK PICTURE!!!!! lol
Such a great pic! I'm still trying to get my nephew into riding while he's young before he becomes a chav and just wants to smoke weed - It's great to see you're giving your kid a head start at having a hobby/sport in their life, more parents should pay this much attention to their kids!
not just chavs who like to open their minds once in a while you know. but yeh, chavs in general are fags. i think im gna get my 3yr old sister into real riding, maybe not this way, but when shes good enough to ride without stablisers.
haha man think i saw you there, i was getting off a chair lift as you went down. unless someone else was at les gets with a kid on their back:P cool as F*uck man!
thats awsome that kid is guna bike when hes older that culd make pod posibly just becaus of how cool that is and hes probobly being real safe and hever if he did whipeout hed try to land on his front
oh for gods sake....all these paranoid people who are like "this is irresponsable and stupid" just f*ck off hah, its more dangerous to take a child in a car than it is to do this?!?!?
what are ppl bitchin bout? Isnt he even sitting on his seat? doubt he's going for a time trial or anything...just a little joy-ride with the little one... ntohing harmful bout it. cool photo
I vote POD man, why would you take your kid down a DH run full on, these guys are stupid, i think you have enough brains to not do that to your son, lol. They all assume the worse. I think its great, i love riding and he looks to be having fun!
Hi Miguel ! You`re an awesome dad for doing that ! I know you took care of him and he enjoyed this to the max, having the time of his life ! You really should transmit your passion to him, as he shows a good feedback to this ! Keep on having fun, he`s lucky to have such a father, as mine doesn`t even understand my passion for biking !

Wow, was expecting at least 1 neg prop! but there are none! thats soo awesome- wish my dad did that when i was young! prop and as said ont let anyine stop you!
thats gonna be and my kid if i had one that is, only he would be strapped a lot tighter, cus I will keep tearin up the trail like i normally do, must feel like a heavy ass camelbak that kid though
Respect, man! Wanna do the same with my son (if it will be son,of course!)) -Son, are yoг ready for that big and long black diamond trail? - Yes daddy! -Ok, lets rock!)))))))
been there done that, like most proud fathers...we have all done crazy things with our kids...i just wish I had a pic of my daughters DH riding experience...cheers
hooray shaken baby syndrome!
im completely kidding, but he looks happy so im not complaining.
my mom took me on bike trips everywhere when i was a baby.
it was Rad.
now look at where i am!
dont ya think he's a lil smarter than going to huck off 20 foot drops with his kid.. i think its a good thing if the kid is enojying it.. check out that thumbs up and big smile.. doubt he had a rough ride
Of course the kid is smiling, it's fun for him.
But he doesn't know the dangers.
I mean, everyone of us had stupid crashes even while going slow. So hust in case, what would happen. If the guy going down, doesn't matter in which direction, the kid will hit the ground first or at least at the same time.
And imagine a rough section, this hasn't got as many muscles in his neck to absorb every bump.
so maybe it looks fun, but i don't think that you should do that with your kid if have a little sense of responsibility
hah I remember when my dad used to put me on the back on his bike. He told me a story recently about how he rode from the top of this cemetary(really hilly) and he said he musta been goin about 50mph at the top straight away and bombing it the whole way down haha, of course this was probably like 17 or 18 years ago but still
hmmm guess thats why I love going fast and love bikes
he probably thought about the consequence of a crash for a while before he did this. if he's an expert rider, and is confident in his riding abilities at going fast down gnarly mountains, i don't think he would have a problem going slow with his kid on his back down an easy trail, or maybe even an access road. as long as the kid is fine with it and having fun, +1 props for dad.
Haha, we use to go to our local cemetary and see who`s faster, I remember going 60km/h and turning back to see that a car was behind me, or when I was going 40km/h and my rear wheel stuck ! Haha, that was a long while ago !
props to everyone... when I read the first comment I felt somehow bad with myself and wondered if everyone shared the same idea/feeling...
