Sequence Saturday 54

A long time ago (especially for those of you under the age of 20) there were a bunch of guys in BC that called themselves the Bicycle Rockers. For those of you that remember 7 years ago, you might remember Bicycle Rocker Ryder Kasprick tailwhipping off the Kokanee drop at Crankworx. It was a pretty big deal at the time, mostly because no one really expected him to do it. Here it is in all of its Sequence Saturday glory...

Once again....I wake up Saturday morning, grab my iPad,head to the bathroom and check pinkbike likes most people check sport scores and stock prices. First POD, then VOD then sequence...., and once again I am reminded that I will never ride like a pro. It's all good though, I can totally respect the level and dedication that these pro's rise to. It's so ill, I still hate them for a split second every Saturday morning but that slowly goes away with the shouting of my wife to get the hell out the bathroom....

I am currently... With my iPad, In the bathroom, Watching VOD, POD and Seq, Hiding from my wife, Just like I do every single morning.

Awesome, memories are back.. I remember when i watching photo from this year Crankworx and dont understand how they can jump this massive drop (7m, if remember well?) with big trick. Now its normal, but at that days it was brutal and unbelievable for me. Thank PB for bring back this nice memories to the time, when tailwhip was big and special trick.

Kinda like the Meteor that hit Russia.
The people are looking up to the sky and saying... "what the f*ck is going on right now!"

What will we see 7 years from now?
  • 1 0
Wow, this was the first ever Crankworx I watched! Can still remember him throwing down this whip, it was insane! Just wished I could have been there rather than sat at home in england watching at 1 in the morning. Although I guess 11 is a bit too young to be flying off to whistler on my own.
  • 4 0
that sequence was almost as good as bacon, almost.
  • 3 1

"It was a pretty big deal at the time, mostly because no one really expected him to do it."

Yeah yeah that was why, 'cuz no one expected it, not because it's a f*cking whip off an uber drop or anything.
  • 1 0
The camera flash on the ramp as he flys overhead, similar to the russian meteorite.. With a tad more gnarl. Was this caught on a dashcam by any chance.
  • 3 0
I did that same thing once..... Then i woke up

I like it how the photographers have so much confidence in him that one sits between the take off and the landingSmile 'jump the photographer'

The magnitude of that drop to landing can give Rampage a run for its money. Take some cajones to attempt that, let alone tailwhip off of it. Sick!

It's Saturday morning I've got beer in my head, enjoying the Kokanee sender. Cheers to all its going to be a great afternoon.

Well HARD CORE comes to mind as this type off progression is what its all about !!
Add in a great CORE saver that protects all your vital organs and back, what more could you want?
Well as I have never been cold wearing body armour, as much ventilation and light colour to reflect heat and what do you get
Why is it only avalable in BLACK unless I have large breasts?

It says up there that the Bicycle Rockers are back so hopefully we will see more of him. I don't imagine a dude like that would ever stop riding, maybe focus shifted elsewhere for a bit
