Those slimy corners make me wanna ride so bad.
It may have been a bad idea to watch this right before going to sleep when I have a broken bike. Guess it's a morning shred on my moms bike.
Braking bumps EVERYWHERE , even in the corners, their´re ony two corners in the whole park with no braking bumps !! And in my opinion , the trails aren´t the best , every trail got a few meters wich are funny, but none of them is fun to ride from top to bottom.
Well, in general a lot!!
Some of the trails are fun, but I've never been there for a whole day without getting really bored.
But what I meant was that in Germany everyone knows these trails and while he was riding solid and has a nice style , it wasn't that special, if it was a trail that no one knows it would've been way more interesting and exciting.
@medievalbiking: Depends on what you want to do. For DH you should go to Bad Wildbad. If you just want to ride park, Winterberg isn't that bad, but it's not Whistler either. Braunlage isn't bad and has the most descent, but I prefer to ride there with my Enduro, because it gets quite flat at the bottom. The Top is wild, though.
@HutchJR: Haha, yeah we somehow learn that in school. I spend 5 month in Canada as a student and was really confused about that when I arrived there, took me weeks to stop saying that!
Winterberg is fun though.. but since the mounain is rather a hill.. the trails are a bit short. But still I have to admit that this place is perfect for some shredding with buddies. And the breaking bumps... they´re not that horrible... it´s fine
I'd been to whistler 3 times before Winterberg but gotta say it was a rad bike Park super close by air to the UK compared to Canada. Real nice for an affordable 3 day vacation.
I really liked the mix of trails and the stunts were way bigger compared to what you found open to public in Whistler.
Also a good sized "hill" compared to what we have in south-east of UK, and chair lift too! No complaints here
Im a huge winterberg fan. Always enjoy the trails there on a big dh. Perfect for my skill level.
I always try to go once a year. Love the bars and eaterys there too. Glad to see big mountain up and running again stayed there in may. Top notch
@tabletop84 Bischofsmais for sure is really nice, even if it`s not the biggest park. Unfortunatey have never been to Spicak, but looks like I really have to go there next time, too.
I also like Beerfelden Bikepark in Germany Not much technical stuff and quite short, but flowy and really fun trails. It may not be the biggest bikepark around, but is sure one of the funniest !
If anyone's wondering why Germans always say "funny" meaning "fun" it's because glucklich in german kinda (not quite literally) means both. Thanks for the trail tips, considering heading over in the next few years
Drifting and skidding are two different things. Skidding is when you lock up your brake. Drifting is off the brake, or feathering it. Watch his rear wheel, it never stops rotating.
Drifting is one of the most fun things you can do on a bike (or in a car) but to me berm drifting is just bad form. Imagine how the track would be if everyone did it..
I have tried this before. If the banana is still a bit green, not a lot happens and you end up looking a bit of a fool. If the banana is a bit over ripe it will usually make a somewhat successful bid for freedom. If you are lucky it will land somewhere amusing, but mostly you end up looking a bit of a fool. If the banana is just right, you end up looking slightly cooler than you did before, but then you have to eat a banana and if your mates are particularly childish, this also tends not to end well. Unless you're a girl.
What's with the stupid outfits these kids are wearing. Seriously, they look as bad as spandex. Just put on some normal clothes. That goes for you too Brosnan.
hehe. Thats what I've been doing for the past few months. Save my magic marys for france or races, run a completely bald DHR for fun times. WHEeeeeeeeeeeee. Ow!
You Americans and Afghanistan... Nah I'm joking. But after watching that Sony action cam video of their trip over there (highly recommended, although I can't remember what its called) I've been wanting to see. Just pure mountain biking. If I was good enough id want to adventure the ridge that Danny Macaskill used. Oh the dream

take a shorter travel bike
I took my Banshee Rampant (100mm 4X) and found the entire park a blast to ride

100mm of travel makes the trails feel "alive" whilst I could see a DH bike damping the experience to the point of blandness
But still I have to admit that this place is perfect for some shredding with buddies.

Ridiculous.
Winter berg is smooth and flat in comparison.
Don´t laugh about it, that´s not fun...

Has nothing to do with fun or funny, that's "spaßig" or "lustig".
that is going to be the next big thing!
Music: Gooder.
I love me some Volbeat.
Edit: fun stuff anyways
I need to go to Afghanistan like I need to contract Ebola.
