Why is it that of all the tricks that can be done on a mountain bike a good old manual is still the best thing to do or see
  • 43 1
I know exactly what your saying, im choking it up to human nature always looking for balance. Subconsciously, balance is eye catching.
  • 21 2
...You forgot a good ol' whip also
  • 46 1
 thats deep bro
  • 11 2
 Choke it up!
  • 6 1
Because it is so f'ing hard to master! Still working on it..........

What do you call what Wade Simmons is doing while airborne over that black truck balancing for that landing?

 love the manual
  • 2 0
Still trying to figure out the manual. It is the best thing to see. Can't wait to finally be able to do one.

Is it me or does curtis always seem to be riding a frame that looks small for his height?
  • 10 1
 You're not alone
  • 58 6
not really, everyone else is riding frames too big for their height Razz

flag wilflucky (Mar 30, 2016 at 5:57) (Below Threshold)
@pasteldepapa because it's easier to ride faster having a lack of skill with a bigger frame
  • 59 0
As someone who is 6'8" I hope this trend takes off then I'll look less of a goofball on my Enduro!
  • 5 5
 @Nobikenofun
Great point!
  • 3 2
 To each there own
  • 5 2
The Enduro is fairly short in the reach department, could just be that?
  • 12 2
Thats what people say when they see me with my girlfriend....
  • 2 1
 how tall is Curtis?
  • 14 2
 how tall is your girlfriend?
  • 22 0
 At least i have one
  • 18 0
 L. My girlfriend is my bike
  • 3 0
Some people like smaller frames, for example, Bryceland. Also depends on the type of riding you do
  • 15 1
Curtis is 6"3 and is riding a large 650 Enduro.
  • 1 3
His pike doesn't sag much too. 15-20% ?
  • 2 0
Thats the largest he can get for the enduro 659b right as they do not offer xl for that? Or he just prefers smaller bikes?
  • 1 0
@peterguns: that's what i wanted to say. it depends on the rider and his preferences.
  • 1 0
@Lui5spot 650b doesn't sell in XL unfortunately, spech doesn't show a size chart on its website anymore, but when there was one for 6"3 (and 6"1) it was recommended to use an XL for the E29 and Stumpies, that thing it's been bothering me for years.
  • 1 0
@Narro2: I think if they want a larger frame they can have. Currently, you see lot of pro rider with specific bike for them
  • 1 0
@MisterJones: i know. just saying 'cuz I do enjoy the perks of having a Large (I am 6"1) on the downhills but when pedaling uphill for sometime I get a extremely tired on my back, since my stem is already long and the seat is way back, the solution might be stepping it up to the non market existent XL.
  • 1 0
@Narro2: Maybe you need to try body geometry or think like that. I'm 5"8 and I ride a M.. because I like the feeling with a smaller frame but lot of person say I need to ride a L model. When I will be injured like you I think I will switch to a bigger frame.
For your problem, I think you need to test different bike because some bike are really really big for L model .. dunno
  • 1 0
@MisterJones: definitely!!!, test different bikes is what I need, the problem is that where I live I don't have that many options, I will have to do a little traveling.
  • 1 0
@MisterJones: Not necessarily. Maybe for world cup racing. For guys like the coastal crew, I doubt they are going to have specialized be making different moulds ($$$) when they are making media content, not scrubbing milliseconds in every corner with the fastest riders on earth.
  • 26 2
My friends and I also ride together and film the rides all the time, just like these guys. I'm trying to pressure them into forming a "Crew" as well but I suspect we are too old and crap at riding for it to work.
  • 1 0
@yerbikesux right on! That company looks rad! At the least I may have to pick up a hat...

Now that the coastal crew have witenessed there dream become reality, i wonder how much they hate driving our asses up the hill instead of riding?

  • 2 1
Was that trick photography, or did that bike grow a pair of DH forks before it jumped into the back of that truck?
And what in Sam Heck is that crazy contraption sitting next to it?
  • 2 3
Looks like a very expensive gimbal
  • 2 0
bike with boxxer is a demo, curtis is riding his enduro.
  • 1 1
I think that contraption is maybe a shovel or a rake
  • 2 0
I can only admire the downhill wheelie from afar since I'm only good for 5 seconds max on flat ground.
  • 4 0
 Perfect as usual...
  • 3 0
