As you may already know, Martin Soderstrom broke his leg on the last jump of his final run at the Crankworx Joyride competition and will most likely be out for the rest of the season. Martin broke his tibia and fibula, just above his the ankle, and was rushed to Vancouver for emergency surgery Saturday night. We would like to thank the entire Crankworx crew, the staff at Whistler Memorial Hospital as well all the fans who have expressed concern for all of their your support. Martin will be staying in Vancouver for the rest of the week until he gets the doctor’s okay to fly back home to Sweden.
In order to show our support and keep Martin’s spirits high Specialized has begun posting to social media using the hashtag #GetWellMartin. We hope you will join us in sharing your photos and this hashtag to support the steezy swede on the road to recovery.
To date there is a
#GetWellMartin Facebook post on the Specialized Bicycles Facebook page and Instagram. If you feel so inclined to show your support to Martin and wish him a speedy recovery, please share these posts through your social profiles and leave an uplifting comment of your own. All of the support will be relayed back to Martin.

Good to hear Brayden is OK and I hope the best for Martin! Luckily (in the most loose terms) it seems it was nothing in his actual ankle would could cause some serious problems in his riding. It just sucks seeing someone who has a blast doing all different events with massive talent go down
Just had to slip the advertisement in there eh Specialized. Definitely shows whats first on their list of priorities.
get well soon martin we need you steezy Nac to push our limits off!
Trek...they are way more awesome. The Trek headquarters crew sent Brett Rheeder a letter filled with good wishes signed by a majority of the Trek peoples after his Les 2 Alpes crash.
I just think it's childish to base your opinion on an entire company because of a few words that an employee of that company put into a write up of one event based on one rider of theirs that I honestly believe, is not a big friggen deal at all and seems to be a statement of fact rather than of advertisement.
Honestly, how many of you believe that this will influence people to buy their bike? People need to relax and focus on the things that actually matter.
#theresworstthingsthanbeinggayuseyourimagination
It's abusing someone's name even during their injury time.
Anyway get well soon Martin, that run was insane!

Here, get some: Get well, Martin!
And now Kurt Sorge is broken, too? He posted an x-ray on Instagram and says he's having surgery. I guess that takes them both out of Rampage?
Hope you're back to your steezy ways soon, because Slope Style/Free Ride/Mountain Biking just can't be the same without you!
get well soon. steez king.
