‘From the Inside Out’ is finally officially here for everyone to enjoy! We couldn’t be more excited about this after all the time and work we have put in. In the beginning when we laid everything out and set a release date, it was hard to imagine the final product – we had so much ahead of us. Now here it is… in our hands and in the digital world. To complete a major project like this is a very accomplishing feeling, especially since this is our first.

From the pre-production stages of planning, to in-the-field building and shooting, to post-production mayhem, we have learned a massive amount through our first film. We feel the best way to learn is hands on. You’ve gotta get out there, get your hands dirty and make mistakes. And that is what we did. Luckily we had a bit of guidance from Anthill Films to help keep us in line. Anthill put their trust in us, believing we would be able to accomplish our vision and we are lucky to have them behind us.

Throughout production there were many ups and downs but the constant overall vibe was positive. We took every experience as it came and had the best time doing it. Our first shoot didn’t begin until the spring, which left a small window throughout the rest of the summer and fall to shoot a complete film. We learned there is much more that goes into creating a film than one would think. For example: rider schedules need to be arranged into the production schedule, trails and features need to be built, some shots don’t come easy, injuries happen and Mother Nature always has control of the elements. If you take all these factors into account then you can start to appreciate how much effort goes into a project like this. Although it was no walk in the park, we had a lot of good times along the way and got to visit some great places filled with great people.

Now that all is said and done, it is time for us to recollect but not rest. We will be able to take all of our new experience, momentum, lessons and ideas and put them into planning our next big project. ‘From the Inside Out’ has taught us a lot and we are excited to keep moving forward!

best part of the film and the rest.... just not to par sorry. went to the premier, follow me was much better imo
  • 3 3
that was not the best part of the film i would say its 4th maybe 3rd.
  • 4 0
k bud pauldh, it was one of the best of the film, but Follow Me had nothing on the creativity and riding of this film
  • 2 4
everyones entitled to their own opinion, there was a few other good bits but just didn't do it for me, atleast it wasn't over hyped like life cycles and follow me to an extent.

having 2 train gaps was a bit boring as well tbh, the 1st one was like helllll yeah and then you see the second and your like erm.... deja vu?

first one was better imo too

" having 2 train gaps was a bit boring "- pauldh
Do you even here yourself? what is boring about jumping over moving trains?
  • 5 1
@pauldh I dont understand why people like you say Life Cycles was not a good film. It wasn't meant to a movie filled with the most progressive riding or epic stunts, leave that to the other franchises. It wasn't a bike film, it was a film about the bike as they say in the film. The cinematography was outstanding and it provided great insight into the life of a rider. In my opinion it is a lot harder to do that, than to flash images of a bunch of really awesome tricks...
  • 2 0
@yeah bro - just because theres 2 of em in one film... its the same with having tonnes of big gaps or dirt jump or even dh, without variety it just looses its vibe.

@p3jeenyus - Life Cycles was an amazing film from the cinematography perspective - i also did not state that it wasn't a good film and simply said it was over hyped.

also i now realise why i should never bother to post my opinion on pinkbike.
  • 1 1
@ see i dont understand because i never get tired of big gaps, jumping, or DH!
  • 1 0
i agree train gaps are just a crazier way to jump, anyway the creativity, once again, amazing and amazing riding alltogether, you might be jealous cuz ur british
  • 2 0
@yeahbro - but thats all good if its varied, what i m trying to say is if you only road for example dirt jumps wouldn't you get bored of it eventually?

@sushumami - yeah tbf we don't have any terrain for train gaps, our trains are small too and there wasn't a euro spot in the film.
defo jealous of semenuk's yard!

Great movie, really well put together Super stoked the Coastal Crew have got this out there and very happy to be able to support them after all those free web edits they've dropped for us. iTunes quality was all good for me and stoked the guys made it available everywhere from the start.

Good movie overall. A little dissapointed that it wasnt longer for a full length film.im not even the biggest fan of dirt jump, but semenuk's piece was prime. coastal crew always has great cinematography no dought, but overall i was a bit disappointed in some trails they picked. stevies' and vanderhams' bits were especially rad to me. but anyways, impressive piece overall guys, not trying to be a hater; just my opinion.

Did anyone else just get super stoked???
  • 1 0
this movie was so short it made me mad. it was 20mins long. normally im super pumped and positive on anything i see and comment but WTF! coastal crew shoots so many good segments, how they hell was the dvd only 20 mins long! even so, all the segments were sick, but if im buying a dvd, I expect it to be over an hour.

I love seeing him hit that berm super hard and the back wheel just drifts, but he loses next to no speed. This kids mountain bicycling skills are prime!

Im not 100% sure as I dont stalk Semenuk but I think he has about 3 houses
  • 1 0
3 houses?? Do you know how much money MTB'ers make ? Def. not millions of dollars dude. I dont know where he lives, but if I had a backyard like whats he's got in this vid, why the hell would you ever move away from that ? Just epic. I remember when Bearclaw had jumps and moves in his backyard, now e'eryone got it.

  • 2 0
yea but bc locals kill it? i think its a sick movie that really captures the vibe of just having fun flowing with friends, except brandons, that just blew my mind
