Really enjoying the commentary when Aaron Gwin is there. So knowledgeable about the riders and racing and knows the intricacies of the track.

People crossing the track just in front of Hugo Marini after the first turn... I guess it affected his mindset for the whole run. That's sad.

Was wondering if he'd get a re-run after that

He should have had the option for a rerun. It was super close to a full on explosive collision, wtf. Next loose trackside situation = a racer crashes and a fan takes the bike, no helmet and pins the lower rock garden only to crash Cairns style if you know what I mean!

The prehop from Pinkerton on that last drop was unreal! What a finish

@schwaaa31: there are a lot of good Juniors out there. Most are under 17 yrs old.

@Wing-nut: Agreed! Big respect to Transition and their major support of women's racing.

@njparider: Tilly and Aletha are super fast as well and not yet old enough to race WC Jr's. Transition is really doing an amazing job supporting US youth racers.

American riders doing great is good for everyone*. Would be sweet to see the race calendar expanded with a couple more North American races.

The fact that this Asa Vermette fella cant race, is my complaint for this week. Hes up there with the GOAT but not even allowed to race Juniors?

On the bright side, the fact that the GOAT is impressed by Asa is a huge win in itself! Congrats Asa on your GOAT acknowledgment!

We use to draft NBA players from high school to the NBA, just let Asa race in the mens category lol.

I still remember when everyone got their knickers in a massive twist because Anne-Caroline Chausson couldn't race senior in like 1994. Be patient, life is long. Seriously though, There's a reason it's set up this way and it's not necessarily a great idea to rush kids into the big show.

@Ryan2949: in all fairness, we were at least requiring them to graduate first. Asa is probably in grade 10 I would assume.
  • 1 0
@The-Foiling-Optimist: yeah its not necessarily a bad thing to keep them out at such a young age.

But get them in doing other things - allow them to be a course sweep or open or something. They mentioned in Jack's video that you need to be 19 or something to do that now?
  • 1 0
@Canadmos: Asa is the course sweep, with a couple sightings in jacks latest video.

Feel like we got a bit robbed of a good battle between Kuhn and Pinkerton - some gold ol' USA vs Canada. Could have been an exciting end to the season if Kuhn didn't get injured, but congrats to Pinkerton, smashing it out there!

@bgoldstone: thanks. Weird is that the live timing has partly results from the elite women, which weirded me out.
  • 1 0
I was watching live timing and I think Elanora Farina must have crashed which red flagged Abby Hogie, the last runner. Hopefully she'll get a rerun during the men's. Otherwise the results are here live.ucimtbworldseries.com (you'll have to click through to the right place) but they didn't show it. Qualys are actually super quick as they're on 30 second intervals or something.
