The UK has always had a strong race scene. Events are usually packed out and have been since way
back in the day. Even with continual price increases, more series and new disciplines most start lines are filled out. After a slow start with enduro, we've ended up with two national series (
even sharing the name for a short period of time!), two Welsh series, a Scottish series, a Northern series and many more. Despite the enduro-advance, the downhill scene is still booming; getting yourself to the start line of a Pearce Cycles downhill race is considered a black art, with 300 entries disappearing faster than a chainless American. The XC scene is ticking over in the background as well as some real endurance in the form of Epic Cymru, Mountain Mayhem 24hr and plenty of pain caves being provided by the No Fuss Events team in Scotland.
So what will you race this year? Let us know in the comments if there is something else in your cross-hares.
