The first few moments, when Sail was playing, really made the vid for me. Ahem. Googles going on? Check. Slow mo into a puddle? Check. Rear wheel passing through a tree branch? Check.
Shame you then had to go on to spoil it with brilliant riding, a fantastic location and soundtrack....!
So funny you say that cause I was watching the video thinking "what kinda of fork is that it looks like it is diving all over the place" haha. Weird how different people see things so differently.
at least it didnt snap in half haha..
I wasnt really analyzing its damping performance...mainly just the fact that it held up to someone pinning it and boosting big..
Yeah it totally looked like it was moving.....which is what suspension is supposed to do! It has on-the-fly spring curve adjustability (Ramp Control), so you can dial the ramp of the spring to your preference. That coupled with the compression adjustment and some tinkering with spring pressure give you a fork that rides how YOU want it to ride. Pat obviously prefers a fork tune that lets him absolutely annihilate trail centres and boost into the stratosphere....
There's lots of that track I don't recognize as being the Cwmcarn downhill track, is the edit a mixture of the other trails there or has the Y Mynydd had a bit of a face lift?
Correct on both points - they've given chunks of the top section a bit of a facelift, but there's a couple of shots on the new red XC trail in there as well.
at first i was like noo way dude.. don't you f. dare to start with THAT track! but well, later that it was pretty nice. i guees. however i'll never get the google thing. never.
That ad makes the bike seem sooooo plush and supple... the sound, through the landings, and the way you go through travel on heavy landings favoring either the front wheel or back. That being said, it seemed like the suspension, tires, rider, and track made up 90% of that, not the bike frame itself. The frame only really matters in terms of axlepath, bb height, and head angle in this case.
Pat... isn't that last big hip tabled to your wrong side? And Clipped in!? BRAVE!
Shame you then had to go on to spoil it with brilliant riding, a fantastic location and soundtrack....!
Unfortunately, that's not how i look... at all....
Bada$$ riding man!

No racing & no full-face helmet

Sorry, just playing devils advocate. Seems like PBers love to do the wheel size war.
