I was on a phone call when I saw number 5 hit that tree. The person on the other end of the line asked if I was ok when they heard my reaction.

 That was brutal....

Judging by the bark on tree they're not the first person to have done that

Tree wins by KO. Sounded like his friend says "He's dead, he's dead".

@eswebster: one of those head-kick insta-knock outs. Brutal.

@eswebster: I'm the one who hit the tree. He said 'Guys guys'.

@AKilness: how would you know?! You weren’t conscious. Soooo…

That was a hard hit. Hope you’re okay and back to sending it.

Seriously, does anyone have a scientific explanation as to why the 3rd person in a train on a majority of FF clips always eats sh*t? Does that 3rd person know this and feels added pressure? Do the better riders secretly put the failee 3rd on purpose to perpetuate this observation?

It makes sense that the less confident riders would be toward the back. Even if you're going down a relatively tame trail, most groups, IME, will sort themselves fastest to slowest. You don't want someone bailing on a feature when the person behind is expending full commitment.

riding order is usually based on the pecking order of speed and skill.
who wants to be slowing somebody else down; or having somebody up their rear.

Comedy "rule of three". God is a funny guy.

When I was at Whistler about ten years I'd be in line watching trains come over a big jump at the end. A @pmhobson says, the best riders were at the front, so you knew when the fourth or fifth guy was only just making it you knew the next two or three were going to case it or worse. Every time.

Lots of heavy hits this week, including some big POV slams. Far fewer people just showing poor judgement, but enough to remind us "don't be a Joey". We always see a lot of front-seat ejections but this week was less "seriously misjudging jump speed" and more front tire issues (less, not zero!). A couple of big tree KOs garnishing a solid serving of OTB mayhem. I give it an 8/10

19 - He really should have let the Ibis do the job for him...

Sounded like he got the wind knocked out of him.

That's actually a sorta tricky feature. The slab is quite steep and goes immediately into a g-out and then a janky hip jump. So you're always hitting the jump with your suspension in full compression, it's easy to pop too hard.

I always think about the scaphoid I broke few years ago every time I see so many fails finishing with hands hitting the ground first and so brutally. Scaphoid is a brave bone I think.

Craig and DayDay showed up to let a few folks know “you got knocked the #&%# out!”
Mad props to the little man sending it and cased, you are a champ little man!
AND the girl having some fun on the skinnies with the summer attire and helmet… that is where it all starts! Keep after it.

So many jumpers getting slammed because they think speed is a substitute for jumping skill. Once you learn how to pop you can always add distance with lift, scrubbing a jump you hit too fast is a tougher skill.

24 - I know. If I put helium in my tires I'll be able to jump higher and farther. What can go wrong?

LOL - looked like he was trying to manual and looped out. Harsh.

I bought some basketball shoes years ago that had helium in the soles instead of air. Trust me, they didn't help, lol.

Well above average video this week, PB, especially if you listen through headphones with the volume dialed waaaaay up.
