Pinkbike Athlete Awards - The Winners

pinkbike mtb awards 2013

Choosing the nine nominees for this year's Pinkbike Athlete Awards was hard enough, but choosing one winner for each category was another challenge all together. Endless debates arose within the panel of judges, as the merits of one race result were weighed against another, or whether one mind-blowing trick should trump a season of outstanding results. Every athlete nominated had an amazing season, one that they can be proud of years from now, but in the end, three athletes rose to the top. Each one of them delivered performances that place them at the very pinnacle of the sport, making them deserving of the 2013 Pinkbike Athlete of the Year Award.

Male Gravity Racer of the Year

Stevie Smith Paris Gore Red Bull Content Pool
Steve Smith

Seasons, the 2008 film from the Collective, was the first glimpse most mountain bikers had of Steve Smith, at that time an unassuming 18 year old living in the small town of Cassidy, British Columbia. The images of Smith racing through the foggy rainforest after being shuttled to the top by his mother resonated with viewers, as did his goal of making mountain biking his career. At that time Smith was on his way up in the ranks of downhill racing, showing promise at local races, and finishing in 11th place at World Champs as a junior, but had yet to make his presence truly known in the sport. Over the next few years his results steadily improved, and by 2010 he made it onto his first World Cup podium, taking fifth place at Val di Sole. Later that year he came in second at the World Championships behind Sam Hill, solidly demonstrating he was no flash in the pan. This upward trend continued, with Smith moving higher and higher up the results sheet, until he finally reached the top step, taking the win at the last race of the 2012 season in Hafjell, Norway.

Season Highlights

• 3rd – UCI World Cup #1, Fort William
• 2nd – UCI World Cup #2, Val di Sole
• 4th – UCI World Cup #3, Vallnord
• 1st – Crankworx Canadian Open
• 1st – Crankworx Air DH
• 1st – Canadian National Championships
• 1st – UCI World Cup #4, Mont St. Anne
• 1st – UCI World Cup #5, Hafjell
• 1st – UCI World Cup # 6, Leogang
Whatever Steve Smith did in the time between that win in Hafjell and the start of the 2013 race season paid off, because once 2013 got underway it was clear he was now a serious contender. A 3rd at Fort William, 2nd at Val di Sole, and 4th at Vallnord had Smith standing next to perennial heavy hitters like Gee Atherton and Greg Minnaar. But of course, the goal of racing is to win, and when the World Cup headed to Smith's home country, he did just that, besting Gee Atherton by nearly a second on the slippery Mont Saint Anne course. After that there was no looking back, and the Canadian Chainsaw Massacre truly began to show his speed, and except for a slight bobble that dashed his World Championship hopes, the remainder of Smith's season was flawless, as he consistently delivered wins under ever increasing pressure.

It was the last race of the season in Leogang, Austria, that truly showed Smith's ability to keep his cool. Even with the knowledge that a small error could cost him the overall World Cup title, Smith won qualifying, and then won the weekend with a perfect run that made him the first Canadian to ever win the World Cup overall. 2013 was a dream season for Steve Smith, and his performance earns him Pinkbike's 2013 Male Gravity Athlete of the Year award.

Female Gravity Racer of the Year

Duck face GoPRo
Rachel Atherton

Rachel Atherton thoroughly trounced the competition at nearly every race in the 2013 season, winning four out of six World Cups, World Championships, the UK National Championships, and three British Downhill Series races, making her mark as the fastest female downhill racer in the world. And we're not using the word 'trounced' lightly here – the time difference between Rachel and her closest competition at the Hafjell World Cup was 7.6 seconds, and at the Pietermaritzburg World Championships it was 8.6 seconds, incredible margins in a sport where it's not uncommon for the win to be decided by the hundredth of a second. It hasn't been an easy feat getting to this position, as Rachel has struggled with various injuries over the course of her career, but this year she stormed out of the gate healthy and ready to win. There's something in the Atherton genes that make them terrors on the race track, and with brother Gee's strong start to the season the siblings were able to both stand atop their respective podiums at the first two World Cup races of the year.

Season Highlights

• 1st UCI World Cup #1, Fort William
• 1st UCI World Cup #2, Val di Sol
• 1st Crankworx Air DH, Les Deux Alpes
• 1st UK National Championships
• 1st UCI World Cup #3, Vallnord
• 1st DH World Championships, Pietermaritzburg
• 1st UCI World Cup #5, Hafjell
• 2nd UCI Word Cup #6, Leogang
Rachel's four World Cup victories this season brought her total number of wins up to 19, making her the most decorated British mountain biker ever. This feat hasn't gone unnoticed by the British media, with the BBC, the Sunday Times, and ITV Wales all taking time to feature the affable Brit in their sports coverage. Rachel Atherton is more than deserving of the attention, a friendly, yet fierce competitor who knows exactly what she needs to do to get onto the podium time and time again. For her outstanding performance during the 2013 race season, Rachel Atherton is Pinkbike's Female Gravity Athlete of the Year.

Slopestyle / Freeride Athlete of the Year

Semenuk flashing the rare smile on the podium.
Brandon Semenuk

At the end of last season, Brandon Semenuk, the 2011 and 2012 FMB World Tour champion, announced that he would be competing in far less events, instead spending his time focused on film projects. It was an understandable decision - why take on a grueling travel schedule when some of the best trails in the world are right in your backyard? Throughout the 2013 season, Semenuk's popular Life Behind Bars web series gave viewers a glimpse of what the slopestyle star was up to, and when the Red Bull / Freeride Entertainment film Brandon Semenuk's Rad Company is released next spring, there's no doubt viewers will agree that Semenuk's decision to film more and compete less was the right one.

Season Highlights

• 1st Crankworx Les Deux Alpes
• 1st Red Bull Joyride
• 2nd X Games Munich
• 1st Bearclaw Invitational
• Film projects: Life Behind Bars, Rad Company
While Semenuk may have lightened his competition load, he made it count with the events he did attend. Wins at Crankworx Les Deux Alpes, Red Bull Joyride and the Bearclaw Invitational, along with a second place finish at the inaugural X Games clearly illustrated the depth of the Canadian rider's talent. In competition Semenuk is able to pick apart a course with surgical precision, executing opposite tricks just as well as his regular tricks, and throwing down runs filled to the brim with difficult combinations. Brandon Semenuk's ability to excel in competition and in front of the camera earns him Pinkbike's Slopestyle / Freeride Athlete of the Year award.

Not surprised by any of them. There was no chance for anyone else really.

  • 3 1
So true. Semenuk's the best, I really wanna see him get a clean rampage run someday
  • 3 5
i dont think semenuk quite earned that award this year. sure hes great at what he does but he didnt win the overall for the fmb world tour, and he hasnt even made it through a run at rampage once in two years right? i voted for zink.
  • 5 0
Rampage isn't considered a free ride event... They call it a "style of it's own" (whatever that means). Zink was a pretty good contender in all the events, but never cracked out a win in the major comps like Joyride or Crankworx. The closest contender to Brandon could have been Sam Pilgrim (FMB world tour champ), but I still agree with Pinkbike on this one.. Just reading the description of his award explains it well. Go Semenuk!
  • 57 0
Cedric Gracia should have been the only winner- for the sole reason of NOT DYING.
  • 55 12
Congrats to the winners, they truly deserve it.

BUT
How about the best Enduro Athlete ( Jerome Clementz) and XC Athlete (Nino Schurter)...is pinkbike.com only about DH and slope?

In the description reads: Mountainbike news, photos, videos and events... #justsayin
  • 11 3
Yeah, PB never payed attention to XC, so I would missed that part, but Enduro is the most common word in this site so far. Jerome was killing it, so he's definitely the king of Enduro this year and to give him such a award is the easiest thing in the world.
But who cares for these awards? I never seen a point of such an awards. These guys won or lost what they competed. What else matters for them?
  • 7 2
Gravity to me means = DH, FR and Enduro (also 4x). So it's normal that PB doesn't talk about XC.
Jerome was one of the nominate for Gravity rider, so he wasn't forgotten ^^
  • 7 0
For this year's awards, enduro was categorized as a gravity race, and Jerome Clementz and Jared Graves both received nominations: www.pinkbike.com/news/Pinkbike-Athlete-Awards-The-Nominees-2013.html. Throughout the season most of our race coverage does focus on DH, slopestyle, and enduro, which is why there isn't an XC Racer of the Year category. If there was, Nino Schurter would surely be on that list.

@rideuse67 I hate to break it to you. I know you want to be cool and thing, but the gravity scene doesn't consider enduro to be gravity. no amount of goggles paired with an open faced helmet makes up for that
  • 2 3
@mikekazimer - I think you give more than enough coverage to enduro. it's earned that simply by popularity and accessibility for Joe Average rider. plus of course, huge market dollars for manufacturers and sponsors
  • 4 1
@gnarbar, apparently pinkbike thinks enduro is gravity. But yeah it's not the same as FR and DH. Still some dudes are throwing flips on EWS races so :p

I agree, but he's not from BC. You can't win best maie whatever on Pinkbike if you're not from BC.
  • 3 1
They can go train in BC and acquire the skills needed to win. Jokes. There was no all around MTB'er category and there is no controversy over the three winners here. But let us remember what happen with the most coveted and prestigious honor of them all. Poor Kelly McGarry really got robbed because it was from 1st. Simply because he would not become a two time Rampage American champ/super legend to help market the sport in the US.
  • 1 1
Or maybe he slightly cased the landing on the canyon gap and went totally offline through the bushes at the end and had a less gnarly line up top ~
  • 1 0
You have a point @choppertank3e . But put it this way. I'm sure McGarry could have matched Kyle if he rode his line, in fact he would have added in a back flip before the Oakley sender probably. But I highly doubt Straight would have even dreamed of attempting a back flip over the Canyon Gap.
  • 1 0
Heard, but neither could have pulled a double backflip or front flip either and I bet Bizet was going too. I think Aggy's line would have beaten them all as would Zinks next run. It's the line you CHOOSE to ride and how well you ride that. I liked Kelly's line way better but Kyle was flawless, stylish and ballsy. If you are going to win with tricks you need to some variety. A three at the bottum even with going off line would have put him in front.
  • 1 0
What A line that would have been if McGarry just threw in a three at the end instead of that last flip. Or if Zink completed his run. Kyle still had no variety with no 360 or flip. And half as ballsy as McGarry or Zink because big tricks on big hits is a whole different level. McGarrys peoples choice title says the judges got it wrong. The Rampage Crown was meant to remain more elusive, with no two time champ. The judges whore'd it out.
  • 1 0
That suicide no hander was still the 3rd biggest trick thrown all contest. Just doing the biggest drop on the Oakley sender was equal second biggest gap. The last jump he did was the 4th biggest air and his top section was equal or best in the way of tech, knar and the fluidity and style he rode it with. People want to see stunts they are the whores. Seems like you disagree with the criteria the contest is judged on. Difficulty of line. Kodiak wins for his top section. Fluidity and style Kelly won style from having more tricks but lost fluidity from casing and going offline. Speed and amplitude Kodiak was faster and did two huge airs Kelly did one huge one and one big one.

Could flip that and say at least Semenuk has the decency to give his fans a (undoubtedly) epic film production whereas Pilgrim only releases a few edits a season.
  • 17 12
And you could hardly say Pilgrim "showed up" to X Games.
  • 34 9
Anglo-Canadian face off!!! Ok.... have some of this..... Pilgrim makes his own edits with his own camera and has even done the most comprehensive series of 'How To' videos I have ever come across. Now that is giving back to the fans. Semenuk may indeed give us a great film this year, but his series Life Behind Bars has suffered massively as a result. All of the good footage was being held back for the film so they know it will sell and generate MONEY. Pilgrim is all about enjoying the ride and by the look of things he does exactly that. Semenuk walks around with a face like a slapped arse whilst having enough money to make Soloman blush.

Pilgrim is not a mountain biker so I really couldnt care less that he hasnt got an award off PB. He does well on slope events because it is basically BMX on mountain bikes. Then he goes to an actual mountain biking ie. freeride event and cant do anything.
  • 15 6
It depends how you define what a mountain biker is. I go for the straight forward approach of looking at the bike he rides. Yep, he's a mountain biker.
  • 10 4
Got to agree with gavlaa. Pilgrim has has attended and won more Slope competitions (which he makes more effort to travel to all over the world) than anyone else this year (and last year, and the year before...). He doesn't just target gold and diamond events to take an overall title but supports the smaller events and just loves to ride. This year he has done particularly well and was rewarded with the overall FMB title. Not bad going!

It is "Slopestyle / Freeride Athlete of the Year" after all so you can't criticize the guy for doing well at slope and say he isn't a mountain biker in the bloomin' "slope" category.

What has Semenuk done this season? Admittedly a few good slope results but not the amount and breadth of results and riding shared with the public that Pilgrim had this year. Sure Semenuk has been busy filming but LBB was very half arsed this year with barely any riding or anything of interest in and how can PB reward the guy for doing some filming that we haven't even seen the end result of yet?

" Pilgrim is all about enjoying the ride and by the look of things he does exactly that. Semenuk walks around with a face like a slapped arse whilst having enough money to make Soloman blush."

  • 7 4
three words - "progressing the sport". it's the buzz word right now as far as mtb media goes, and let's be honest - pilgrim isn't doing it. i bet if pb ranked the three nominees in order instead of just the winner, zink probably would have topped pilgrim as well because his giant flip is exactly the progression they're looking for.
  • 7 5
Pilgrim was the first guy to land a back flip from flat drop, and then went out and did it in a comp, progressing the sport, nough said! And zinks back flip was the biggest drop, and megarry's was the longest, where was the progression brought by the golden boy semenuk?
  • 5 5
well obviously there's no convincing the brits. how about semenuk hucking everything oppo this year? and despite not competing as much he still probably had more attention because of his projects like LBB and rad company. (if you're trying to tell me you haven't watched and rewatched LBB i don't believe you). i don't think it's too much of a stretch to say pilgrim was only in the running because he took the fmb title.
  • 7 2
I'm telling you now I haven't re-watched any of this seasons LBB- none of them have been worth it. Actually, I watched the end of one episode again to check it was Semenuk riding and not the Intern but that's it. You're the one who came up with this 'Progressing the sport' line... I believe that winning the FMB and staying healthy is one hell of an achievement that deserves recognition... Rheeder & Soderstrom showed that. In terms of progression..... Pilgs was the first person the bike flip an MTB, the first person to backflip and frontflip off a flat drop.... You should do more research before typing.
  • 7 2
Guys please do not stop this, I'm studying at the moment and this is far too entertaining to do anything else Smile
Gotta love a good fight!

Btw my opinion to the mix, I agree that Semenuk has done some great things, but lets be honest, he truly has a face like a slapped arse. I would vote for Pilgrim anytime just because he seems to be a fun bloke. It is subjective, yes but then all of the arguments above are subjective as well, because there is no way to put weight on the achievements. Freeride maybe?
  • 5 2
Loving the anglo-canadian face off, personally zinks my favourite slope/freeride rider, but I agree with my fellow Brits here, Semenuk is an amazing rider, but that just makes me think less of him when he doesn't go to comps and never looks stoked about anything. Pilgs just seems happy to do what he's doing, kills it and makes loads of awesome little edits himself for us to enjoy, FOR FREE
  • 7 5
this isnt a personality contest, its an ATHLETE award, based on their ability on a bike. Anyone who thinks pilgrim is half the mountain biker semenuk is is being silly. pilgrim may have been the first to flat flip a drop in a contest, but i think its safe to say semenuk introduced the realm of oppo tricks, as well as getting the flat flip drops as dialed, if not more dialed than sam. Brandon won almost every contest he entered, which shows he is still the top dog. it would have been interesting to see where he would have placed in the fmb tour had he been in it. i bet he would have still cracked top 10. Pilgrim wins thetour because he goes to many more fmb events. That can be both a positive and a negative, sure he is obviously keen to ride, and has a cool attitude, but guys like martin, brett, and brandon show up to the ,main contests, and seem to still have sam running for his money. Filming takes alot more effort and struggle than going to a contest. May be more fun, but its still a hell of a lot of work. Semenuk deserves mad props for staying on top of his contest game as well as filming a large redbull movie and having an online webisode series.
  • 4 4
If you guys care about the way some dudes face looks like when he's off the bike not in full face helmet. There may be other web sites that would suit you better. The Category is for best slopestyle/freerider. And Pilgrim pretty much pulled a Krill Benderoni at Rampage with his freeriding. So yea, he can win the FMB title. But never the best slopestyle/freeride title. There should be a award for being a great rider and avoiding injury's during the FMB season but that is called the FMB title. Pilgrim does progress the sport and seems like a humble dude. But he might not have even won the FMB title this year if Semenuk did not show up to the few events he did. Semenuk is so good it probably played a mind game on Rheeder. And Soderstrom was straight up trying to catch up to Semenuk before his disaster. And unlike Pilgrim, Soderstrom would have actually collected more FMB points at the diamond event Rampage.
  • 4 0
i didn't realize athlete of the year should be focused on things that they did the year before. i'm really curious how you can comment about pilgrim's flat drops in this discussion like it's relevant. pretty sure even if it was relevant zink's backflip would outshine it anyway..

Semenuk only attended no more than 5 comp's this season, and hes a great rider, but in terms of progression he hasn't done much that's that influential in the sport. on the other hand, pilgrim was the first to get flips(front and back) off flat drops that semenuk could only do AFTER Pilgrim did them... so tell me something that semenuk has done to progress the sport again?

Define opposite, because if we really wanna go back to firsts, the bmx guys have firsts on pretty much every slope trick out there.
  • 4 6
If you want to see a Pilgs win in this mickey mouse category, better visit a non-canadian wesbsite. Totally biased. Semenuk did nothing this year, and had a face like a slapped arse while he was not doing it. I haven't see any of his LBB videos this year because I'm not a groupie and I've got better things to do than watch kids mess about with their mates and maybe do a little bit of riding, and call it a webisode. Pilgs is a great slope rider, hence why he won a lot of slope contests. To say he is not a mountain biker is risible.
  • 2 2
@gavlaa @BeardlessMarinRider @jaame; you guys made your point. I will ask some chicks if they agree with you because I honestly can't tell if a guy's face looks good or not. But I guess this is the way most of us hetero sexual dudes make comments about the way some chick looks like. Congrats, no hate on you guys for being bisexual or straight out gay. Who cares what country you are from, we all just like riding bikes. Semenuk is just too good. We all hate on him during big events (even Canadians) because it just seems to easy for him. He won rampage at like 16. Who the F is @bike4life22 kidding when he said the best slope style performer since the day he hit the scene is not progressing the sport. If your talking about just new tricks. @joeyjd said it, oppo. And @bike4life22's defence was they do oppo's in BMX. BMX pretty much does every trick first on a smaller scale so you threw Pilgrim under the bus with that one too. So what is the next defence for the Semenuk haters?
  • 2 2
@SithBike- Clearly the phrase 'Face like a slapped arse' hasn't made it across the pond yet. It's not a reference to whether he is attractive or not you muppet- it means he goes around looking like he's in a bad mood!!! It's too funny that you're sitting there thinking we're saying that he's ugly!!! Honestly man that's made my day. I honestly don't hate Semenuk, but I think there are people in our sport that deserve the recognition more than he does- particularly this year.
  • 2 2
Any man who is afraid of saying another man is handsome is probably gay. Semenuk is not handsome, but Pilgs isn't either. Soderstrom, he's a handsome devil and so is that McCaul chap.
  • 1 0
Ha, ha, I guess the jokes on me. I never heard that phrase before. He's just so calculating all the time is what you are saying. But I will agree with you on the fact that almost anyone "deserves" more recognition than someone who grows up in B.C and in particular Whistler, in terms of MTB. People like Rheeder, Reynolds and Pilgrim had no serious gravity DH to work with so it amazes me how they got so good. People from BC = Just spoiled with progressive bike trails. Now that's the prairie raised hater in me!
  • 1 1
No @jaame, you are seriously gay. Hahahaha. What McCaul? Hahahaha. And Soderstrom is a handsome guy too? Hahaha. Now you got to admit @gavlaa, this is actually really funny. Because it's seriously gay.

  • 3 1
I'm right with you @Jaame btw, @sithbike are you seriously saying you don't have a clue about what makes a person attractive? we all know that if a guy who looked exactly like Brad Pitt started riding at any level he's get sponsored so hard
  • 1 2
@sithbike sorry man, i did actually throw myself under the bus. i just dont like semenuk because it doesnt look like he has fun, and thats what this sport is really about.
  • 2 0
@lennoxrider, I always loose the "who do you think is a hot guy game". Yea I'm serious. The fact that you made me think about Brad Pit kinda grossed me out, I'm now disgusted and repulsed from trying to hard. Thanks. In fact I realized something, while we are discussing "who fell off the ugly tree and how many branches they hit on the way down". I'm still hitting branches when I ride. But I must say Semenuk and Pilgrim looked like handsome chaps when they pulled the back flips of the flat drop at Whistler.
  • 1 1
Handsomeness is related to a number of factors including facial symmetry, strength of jaw line, complexion, and propensity to smile. Spotty teen Semenuk scores zero on at least two fronts. Pilgs scores highly for smiles and complexion, but his otherwise perfect symmetry is ruined by his gappy tooth. If Brad Pitt started riding I doubt he'd get sponsored, because he probably wouldn't be any good. Semenuk is living proof that skills are more important than looks in MTB at least, if not Hollywood.
  • 1 0
@jaame Thanks for pointing out that someone that can't ride a bike wont be endorsed by a bike company. Are you some kinda Taipei kickboxing fashion designer? If you lived on my block after your gay teen comments, I would be filing a police report.
  • 1 1
 A report about what?
  • 1 1
How would Semenuk have scored had he registered for the FMB this year? Can anyone do the math? What about Pilgrims wind shield wiper wasn't that this year? I think Semenuk is better but, I'll always cheer for for Pilgrim and his street style over Semenuk's smooth steeziness. Pilgrim will have to learn to do some oppo tricks to stay ahead of Rheeder and Soderstrom this year. They don't look that impressive but the judges are all wet for them.

Yes all mtb tricks are recycled from bmx !!!!!!!. The only thing mtb has done over bmx is do the tricks off cliffs. Slopestyle is almost boring to watch now. It's a single line manicured track with almost zero choice for multiple lines My head is very much outta my ass kid I been racing longer then you been alive . Do your self a favor and go watch some.bmx videos And appreciate them,

They do come from bmx yes, but I'm pretty sure any bmx rider would shit their pants trying to do the same run as semenuk on the joyride course. Flat drop flipping and switch trucking off a drop isn't seen too much in bmx videos.

Is it just me or do we need to see a bmx vs mtb face off? They all have similar sponsors who could line it up. Chad Kagy at the Teva comp in NZ proved it can happen.

Not one to usually comment, but has to be said that although we all know Stevie is awesome, no one else in Canada does. His overall WC title was not even mentioned on any sports reports (maybe a local one where he is from picked it up that I am unaware of). Why would they not celebrate this guy? When Mike Weir won the Masters, they couldn't shut up about it. I don't understand why major sports networks can't get behind MTBing, especially when they are all trying to cash in on "extreme" sports. WC downhill is pretty damn extreme, as it Steve's mustache....

Ratboy would take it every year

Stevie an Rachel deserve that! Don't get me wrong, Brandon Semenuk is one of my favourite riders and he's one if the ones I'm always supporting when he competes, but he barely showed up this year. I know he was filming but the life behind bars series was very short and he only did a handful of events. I'm not sayin he hasn't worked hard, but I thought these prizes were for riders that stood out from the rest during the year?

No hate on Semenuk but I personally think Rheeder should be Slopestyle rider of the year. Just my opinion though
  • 2 1
I think it should be Martin!!!
  • 1 0
Martin is and has always been one of my favourites too but i if you compare the achievements these 3 riders got this year rheeder really stands out although he was just riding for half of the season. He banged out some super sick videos (Afterhours, Kelowna, Kamloops, First Try Fridays, his X-Games Edit...) + he won the first (and sadly last) X-Games mtb Slopestyle with a run that was just ridicoulusly techy on a course that most of his competitors had troubles even going through without doing any tricks and he was leading the fmb tour all year allthough he did compete in much less events than martin or sam.

Zink deserve the win!No hate against semenuk but a winners who land everything on slopestyle or dj but can't finish his line at ramapge two year consecutive can't deserve the win! But brandon still remain an amazing and uncommon rider!

The guy who got a picture of Sandon Bremenuk smiling should get a prize!

I've said it before and I'll say it again... Someone should check to see what the Athertons are adding to their porridge in the morning...

I'm taking nothing away from Stevie, he did an awesome job last year and is an incredible rider, but Graves would have been my pick for sure going on his feats from 2013.

I don't have any issues with racers chosen, but I would like to know when/if WE the readers actually to get to vote on anything?
  • 2 0
I think Pilgrim, Strait and Zinc killed it and STAYED on their bikes as where the winner did not.

Pilgrim may of won the fmb but check out semenuk on all his vids and the production he is doing the guy is clearly one of the best slope riders ever
