Things are coming along nicely these days at Sombrio, check out their new Mobile Festival Unit with living quarters.

I called it Sombrio's Rolling Thunder, but the official name is the Sombrio Festival Mobile Project and it will be rolling out in January to events all around North America. They will have a full line up of their garments to show off and this really amazing portable pump track from Progressive Bike Ramps. It's great to see their growth and push forward to enhance more lives with cycling.

$90 for an average plaid shirt? hardly innovative.
  • 41 2
What? You don't think an "integrated optics wipe" is innovative? Jebus, that's at least $50 worth of innovation right there. Underarm vents another $50...and antibacterial, gotta have that...at least $200. That shirt is where it's at for today's modern poser. You're lucky that shirt even performs for you.

when they roll around in a rig like that, it's hard to think that you're getting a good deal

Sombrio always has expensive clothing (MSRP) but when resold it's a lot cheaper

I surprise myself when i find myself willing to pay so much for things of good quality and attractive.

its weird here in the UK because Sombrio sells poorly, then the distributor "blows out" the entire stock at the end of each season and we get their stuff super cheap (especially for us people working in the bike trade)

just picked a pair of their top end race gloves for £6 and their winter glove for £7!

Good old five quid checked shirt from Asda for me, soaked in sweat covered in mud and dust and your "optics wipe" is your sleeve on your gogs

90$ for a shirt is cheap. In Norway it is normal for 150$ for each jersey, and 250$ for pants...

@HellslayeR how many unnecessary words did you just use!? You like girls, you like check shirts. Done!

The girl in the picture is cute and i like the shirt but if i buy it i want it more in the red/black. I don't know why i got neg propped for my previous comment but i guess i was misunderstood.

i really like those slat high shoes, they are sweeet Big Grin

I found one of their ride shirts in a store the other day - looked really good but has a big sticker saying "hates velcro" - what the hell is the point in making riding gear that cant be near velcro?! I have velcro on my camelback, my pads, my gloves etc etc - so its a shirt just to look at?

As for "all the stuff" in this article - wow a lame shirt and some horrible shoes. Cant wait for 2013!

most jerseys will get snagged and stuff if it rubs on velcro, it's nothing new, they just state it whereas most brands don't.

Decals peeled off of mine after two washes with just jeans and t-shirts in the machine. My TLD and Fox jerseys still look new after 20 washes. Learned my lesson....

my shorts have been going strong for over a year. they've had some gnarly spills too.
  • 1 0
have owned a pair of their waterproof denim riding pants for several seasons (the ones with the ventilation zips and reinforced knees), got them 1/3 of retail price in a sale and they have been stellar...been through some horrible muddy / wet / snowy winters and still look as new
  • 1 0
My Dakine and Raceface jerseys dont snag, my fox and dakine shorts are 2-3 years old, my raceface 6 years old? That's longevity and vfm.
  • 6 0
That's cool that they're still going strong. Don't see much of them on the Shore anymore. Hopefully their stuff will be more readily available moving forward!

Can Sombrio please make an SPD shoe, i would love that Slat (high) as a SPD shoe. All flats fans can neg prop if they feel its necessarily.

Workin on an SPD for 2014

OBD1, It's better than the cut off sweats she used to show up in 5 years ago. Word on the street is you know the ones...

 Pffft.

stripes + plaid = rad

What do you old men know anyways...????

@Sombrio, MC isn't known for her fashion sense.. if it weren't for you guys she'd still be riding in her 'Jimmy's Pizza: Eat Hot Pie' jersey. but she IS cuter than a basket of puppies Smile

That pump track at the show was awesome. I'm a believer in Sombrio products, the riding shorts in particular. Good on 'em for taking things to the next level (loving the freightliner!)
  • 6 2
Is that it???? Come on..... An entire crew huge Camaras and a couple of pics..... ???????

When I read 'All the new stuff right here' I was hoping for a little more than just a shirt and some boots - But never mind. That shirt is nice...
  • 4 0
 Nice work boots
  • 4 2
No wonder their prices are so high for average stuff at best, somebody has to pay for that rig. phew
  • 4 2
Jeez those boots... since when did anyone go riding dressed like co co the clown ? Holy shit !
  • 2 1
umm... have you ever been to a bike park? (and the simple yellow on black is pretty tame compared to most mtb clothing)
  • 3 0
Checkered shirts are soo last friday!!

The Interbike coverage this year on Pinkbike has been pretty bad in comparison to previous years. Take this one for example. A picture of a lifestyle piece, two pairs of shoes and pictures of an RV on steroids. It would be nice to get a little more product info and pictures up like in previous years
