Every year the UCI World Cup DH circuit sets the stage for everything from broken dreams to popped corks—all in pursuit of the elusive win. Spanning South Africa to Norway, and beyond, the 2012 season was all that… and more.
Devinci Global Racing stepped up as one of the premier downhill World Cup teams in 2012 finishing 4th overall in team standings and taking the top spot on two occasions in Windham and Hafjell. Additional highlights included Steve Smith's triple-crown win in Whistler, a World Championship medal, and completely dominating the field at the World Cup Finals in Hafjell—with the entire team on the podium.
It was an unforgettable season for DGR and, as they say, you only really remember the last race. We're just looking forward to remembering it all winter....
Devinci Global Racing is proudly supported by: Cycles Devinci, SRAM, RockShox, Avid, Truvativ, Easton Wheels, Schwalbe, E-Thirteen, ODI, Selle Italia, Fox Head Clothing, and Mypakage.

They should use a song that no one has ever heard before like "Pumped up kicks".

Please dont club me!
I had to stop watching the video half way through because there were too many lingering facial shots of blokes and I don't want everyone in the office thinking I'm gay.
Please videographers, I'm not gay, I'm not into looking at slow motions shots of blokes' faces and/or eyes for extended periods. I like watching people getting loose, but please stop putting so many facial slow mos in videos!
More ripping on bikes, less close ups of blokes' eyes!
Wow. I just remembered Steve Smith's older video talking about how his mother would shuttle him to his local DH trail every day and how he would always get to the bottom faster and faster before his mother could even arrive. Then the mother talked about his son's passion in the sport and said she is happy to shuttle him everyday because everytime she does, she knows he is getting closer to his dream on standing on the podium.
Seeing that moment @ 3:11 and seeing him so happy, that was years and years of dreaming and hard work, actually his whole life. All those shuttles the mother took him on, driving up and done unselfishly for him so he could realize his goal. And he finally got there. That moment when all your life you've worked tirelessly on that one thing and you finally succeed. That's all I see @ 3:11. Simply amazing.
Not a fan of slow-mo, but when used in the right places it is very effective.
Stevie Smith, always looks like he puts enjoyment over the result (the way it should be).
More importantly.... If I needed a new frame... It would be a devinci... And yes, I'm influanced by WC riders, and these vids... What not to like?
