I kept watching the video, expecting to see that photo shot with the guard yelling, "heck, what the f#c@ are you doing" while the dude jumps out of the warehouse. I was left totally disappointed. Can we at least get a high res version of that shot we can use as a desktop background?
Maybe the best trail ever!! Thank you guys! But honestly I don't get the whole sarcastic trail poach thing, I see it like this: If you build a "one-off" or a filming line specifically for filming and somebody comes in and blatantly poaches your filming line that has just come out in your latest web edit or about to - that deserves a beating. But just filming on a trail that really is in the public domain constitutes no complaining. Why is MTB such a whine fest? Did Wayne Gretzky thank the zamboni driver for finishing such great ice to kick-ass? Does Kelly Slater thank God for creating good swells, does Candide Thovex thank the groomers at the ski hill he tears apart?.... I just don't get the ego "I built the trail" stoking that is required to just shred a trail. Good work boys..now go ride it fer fuk sakes!
Well, according to some pinkbikians (such as a user by the name of santacruz-syndicate from NC) you HAVE to respect builders and their exclusive rights to the trails they build/maintain, even if the trail is on public land! And if you don't agree with them in anyway you will receive an invite to ride in the southeast where you will be met with a shovel to the head (tough talk on the internet still astonishes me).
What? Because he is Wade Simmons you trail builders that are so full of foolish pride and arrogance (especially santacruz-syndicate from Brevard, NC) aren't going to lambast him for calling you all whiners?
On a final note, by no means am I implying that Mr. Simmons agrees with me at all, but it was nice to see a known name in the industry call out some of the fools here on the PinkBike forums.
@wadevsimmons: fro rider days were my early years of MTB. Thanks for the awesome memories and awesome ads for Rocky Mountain. The barber shop scenario is still my favorite.
@wadevsimmons is amazing to watch, as always. The wheels look pretty much spot-on, too (depending on UK pricing). And Wade's on @foxracingshox forks and shocks now?
Confirms my suspicion to know that's the only way to obtain a Rocky these days. Kidding aside, great video and props to Sterling Lorence for such a rad image.
He is a inspiration for me and I think from all of us. His style is unique! I love to watch his videos and I hope we will see further more of this stuff like this. Thank you Wade!! greats from good old Germany :-)!!
Shitty criminal, he breaks in at night and is there until daylight to find one set of wheels. He even puts his tyres, cassette and rotors on (there in the warehouse)
/sarcasm
