@mikekazimer: Aren't movies just really fast pictures?
  • 8 3
My data provider prefers the videos lol
  • 4 3
@DaFreerider44: technically a sequence of pictures. A fast picture would u trying to keep a single image in focus as it's propelled by whatever magical means
  • 4 0
@DaFreerider44: 23.98 of them per second.
  • 2 0
how do you do more that one upvote?
  • 1 0
Sam Blenkinsop have a carbon crown on his fork? It looks like it has that carbon molding look like the past black box xc forks.
  • 6 0
 @enduroNZ: multiple troll accounts
  • 4 0
After upvote you and later seeing the video I can say it was so damn good an defenetly video brings a different overview to bike check... We might get lazy cause EWS bike check vids weren't that good...
  • 4 0
@DaFreerider44: we should call them motion pictures...
  • 2 0
@mikekazimer: i highly prefer pictures because i cannot watch videos bc I’m in class

I'm really enjoying watching Christina Chappetta vidoes, She does a very good job in front of that camera. Good choice PB on making her a presenter.

Thanks bud! That is awesome feedback! I'm getting more comfortable talking to my idols so hopefully the word vomit is under control soon.

@christinachappetta: +1, both for look&feel(riding, tech, presenting, knowledge) ... except those "old mama" shoes... any common flipflops would be much more aesthetic, sexy etc... Wink
  • 1 0
@christinachappetta: that mic swap at 7:53 tho’
  • 1 0
She's much more pleasant to the eye than both Mike that's for sure

Consensus from this video is pretty clear that clips are faster every Enduro racer agrees except the champion
  • 24 0
 4:44 That rearshock bolt...
  • 6 0
Looks like they just got that from the NZ equivalent of Home Depot and just made er work lol
  • 1 0
It also looks like they drilled a new hole on the shock mount to shoe horn a larger shock in. I'm guessing that would be against the warranty.
  • 2 0
lol yeah, what is that shock?
  • 21 2
 fast, slow, stiff, hard?
  • 3 0
 "Whatcha packin?"
  • 1 0
haha the usual suspension descriptions...I'm not one to talk "progressive"
  • 8 0
Good video! Look forward to some more over Crankworx Week.
Always nice to know things like, how tall are they, what size bike are they riding.
Quicky mods like the rear shock / extra mounting holes on Dan Wolfes N9, and the Grey Suntour Forks on his & Micks bikes.
  • 10 0
Very professional shock mounting bolt on Wolfes Poligon Wink

@boss-matsumoto: I did a double take at that, thought he'd pinched it from my front gate hinge...

Is Rae running a Mullet Liv?
  • 1 0
 @GLOB-2018 looks like it
  • 2 3
Those suspension grips are scary to me. Use whatever works but throttle grip is something that has been driving me crazy since bmx racing days 30 years ago.
  • 3 0
@GLOB-2018: yep she is running a mullet Liv. I built the wheels for her!
  • 1 0
 @GLOB-2018: yep I can say
  • 2 0
 @JM221 you work at Wheelworks?
  • 3 0
@JM221: V.nice - out of the workshop here in wgtn Wink

Assuming it's built on the Hail (aka Reign) 27.5 platform, be interested to hear how it climbs.
No doubt Rae manages it 10x better than I could regardless.

Great start Rae - Bring on the 2020 EWS!!
  • 1 0
@Lololmalol: I do/did, I am just finishing up a 3 stint with them as a wheel builder. Migrating back to general wrenching
  • 2 0
@GLOB-2018: yep all built here in Wellington
  • 4 0
Sweet! Glad you enjoyed! Those riders has some much knowledge to share it's hard to fit it all in but I always listen closely and take notes for my personal setup.
  • 1 0
@GLOB-2018: not actually sure! Will investigate further

Wolfe acts like there's something scientific to the high up brakes. We all know his secret... He has a three balls
  • 9 1
Christina Chappetta really does a great job presenting this, very natural and engaging on camera
  • 4 1
Thanks! Trying to keep it light and fun for the viewers and myself. The riders seem to enjoy a bit of variety too.
  • 4 1
 @christinachappetta: you're a natural
  • 3 0
Running my controls flatter for a bunch of years, just felt more natural and "normal", good to hear there's science to back up how it feels.

So what's with the moving grips??
  • 3 0
Revolution Grips. I ran them. They work, especially on punishing days, but like normal dual-collar lock-ons they can restrict your hand position.
  • 5 2
Check out Seth's Bike Hacks Berm Peak Express channel where he reviews the Rev Grips. Interesting for a $90USD grip.
  • 4 0
They're nice to have if you do a bunch of laps of lift access trails that are blown up with braking bumps. That's what they're meant for. Seth's bike hacks straight up installed them incorrectly and then went for a few laps in his backyard, so not a good representation of them at all.
  • 3 0
@aln1230: been running rev grips for a year they really help on steep stuff too as they allow your hands to move while gripping the brake lever
  • 2 0
I had them, they work but are a PITA to install and a bit complicated if you were ever to have to take one off in the field
  • 2 0
@RadBartTaylor: yeah they are not fiddly, first install was irritating. Not bad once you get the knack, taken them off in the field with no issues
  • 1 0
 I meant a bit fiddly
  • 6 1
JUST HEARING BIKE EVENT MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND MAKES ME SICK

Props to Dan Wolfe for some nice tidbits and discussing his Yoaan'esque brake lever positions. Haven't heard the change in elbow position consideration, very interesting!
  • 3 1
Really great job, Christina. I’m looking forward to more of your videos this season !!,

Also I think Ventana makes a full suspension tandem .... or did
  • 1 0
They do make an XC version. That's actually quite capable. But nowhere near as capable as Jackson & Rose's. They also made a very small batch of "DH" tandems about 15 years ago. I've owned both and race enduro with my kids on one. I run a 170 Lyrik on it. I've always wanted to try out a proper Boxxer or 40 on it but can't justify the expense for limited use case.
  • 1 0
They still do! Just got to call and ask. They even do them with those couplers so it can be broken down into a more travel friendly size.
  • 2 0
I like how they are covering up the Specialized Power saddle on the Giant Reign.
