 This week on Cathro’s Crash Scene Investigation: “after solving his own crash, the famed detective heads to Austria to investigate a corner accused is robbing two racers of podium finishes…”

 You guys are going to make me spend money on cheesy intro graphics aren't you?

 @brianpark: not to mention royalties paid to The Who.

 @scott-townes: I prefer Hot Fuzz.

“What you thinkin’?”

 @scott-townes: Looks like her run,

took a turn for the worse.

 @brianpark: oooh - looking forward to see which you go for. Magnum sprung to mind, but Ben seems more like a Columbo kinda guy Smile

 @richard01: ooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh fack that's the one!

 Surely if we just keep zooming in and enhancing the race run video we won't even need Cathrow's explanation videos?

 @bigtim: catch the reflection on a spectators sunglasses so we can actually see what happeded and not look at that bit of tree that obscured the key moment.

 Sewn & Blown in a blink of an eye.
Hate to see it happen but, that's racin'.

Loved her interview afterward, brutal honesty, "I'm Pissed".
IMPO, If she stays healthy your lookin' at the next R.A..

 I think she'll be a lot more successful than even RA, no disrespect to the legend but I don't think RA came into elite racing with this kind of dominance. If she did I take it back.

 @TrevZ: I don't see why people are negative propping you.
As it stands it looks like she may, potentially due to the competition, or maybe she is something special.
Rachel suffered from some bad injuries in her time and was in a tight generation at the top of women's riding.
But we never know when the next young gun will come around. Look at the men's. We had Gwin although he was not that young that upset the norm, now we have AP. Looks like he is back, could Reece be a challenger as a youngster, on the really technical stuff I think so, Les Gets next, maybe not his bag.

 @TrevZ: That makes it more probable for Höll to burn out early though. If you look at statistics, women generally have just a few years when they are at the top of their game. Of course not all women and Höll could be one of those. Time will tell.

 She was mad at herself, I love the fire in her. Tell me you wouldn't be pissed.

 Had my 7 year old daughter watch Vali's run, and post race interview just to show her what a true athlete is

 Breaking down the crash.... except can’t show the footage of the crash he’s breaking down. Lame

 This sort of stuff is so shortsighted on the part of Red Bull/UCI. Who’s even watching the World Cup stream if sites like Pinkbike/Vital aren’t promoting it for them? It’s not like the UCI is any good at social media - even when it comes to road, which is their top priority.

 @rsbromley: they should look at what Formula 1 has done in the last couple years. Far more accessible online with much more fan engagement.

 She was so mad in the finish corral :

 Honestly, she's young and fast, but when she loses, crash or no crash, she should be a bit more humble and accepting. That's real professionalism. She will dominate for some time. But that's me.
  • 23 13
 @neimbc: on the other hand, maybe Camille could have held off a second before jumping out of her seat and celebrating.
  • 71 5
 @neimbc: I've never seen a guy get angry at f*cking up a race run and losing first place. She should be more humble like all the dudes who are quiet and stoic after their race ruining mistakes. Oh wait.

 @jayacheess: no, they should too.

 @sspiff: I think Camille held off long enough to know that Vali wasn't badly hurt. That's long enough.
  • 30 1
 @neimbc: opinions like this are part of the reason why athletes life Naomi Osaka suffer anxiety about post event media interviews. Vali has a huge amount of expectation on her, at a young age. She was angry at herself, having crashed on a corner that she knows she can do easily. It's an individual sport, she will have been buzzing because she was riding so well, then the crash...

Talk about professionalism when you podium at a DH world cup next.

 @malv173: withhold you opinions on sportsmanship as well until you have touched a UCI podium.
  • 12 0
 @RonSauce: what does being angry at oneself have to do with sportsmanship? Since when does congratulating and being happy for someone elses win at your home race, your first WC Elite race that you basicly had in the bag, have to be the first thing on your mind after crossing the finish line?
  • 8 0
 @RonSauce: Not to mention your opinions about opinions about an opinion. Jeez.

 Very cool. Hope this review analysis is a regular thing

 Good work Ben, everyone else down celebrating the race and you’re up there giving us the feedback, nice one

 until you stood in front of what looks like a curb size drop from the drone did we see what the track actually looks like. Keep up the "boots on the ground" and great work.

 too right, always amazes me how big some of these features actually are that usually don't even warrant a mention during the footage. and these guys just send them at full speed like they are nothing. mind blowing

 Thanks for changing the title to avoid spoilers. I don't always get to watch the race replay on Redbull before my mandatory Pinkbike morning read.

 reckless behavior with no sense of history, ridiculous request. PB is the most spoilenest website in the modern era.
Besides Red Bull who’ll spoil their own broadcast (I’ve taken to getting an uninterested party to navigate to rbtv replays while I close my eyes).
Looking at PB before you’ve seen the race is self-destructive behavior and you need to get help please call the hotline
PB doesn’t care about racefan people.
It’s kinda the easiest sport to avoid getting spoiled I don’t know why you’d go out of your way to seek it out.
I’m so pissed at you

 @owl-X: you okay? we do try to keep spoilers off the headlines and thumbnails for a day or so, but we this is the first time we've done one of these videos and got our wires crossed.

 @brianpark: I’m not okay, no.

 Exercise self-restraint young man.
No bike media, no Insta & no FB until you've seen the catch-up.
It's just not worth the risk.

 Can I just point out, Cathro's squat technique at the top of that drop-off is on point. Top strength and conditioning skills dude
