Interesting video of him saying why the XL m29 rolls good:

Impeccable research and reporting, thank you!

That video didn't let me down. Super informative and really gave me solid insight into Gwin's unorthodox setup.

Interestingly I feel like that really did let me down

Upvote, cheers buddy I haven’t been rick rolled in years. Brought back fond memories

Omg you and the commenters... hhahahha.. you guys sure love your tech.
  • 1 1
Oh it's been a while since I've seen that, good to be caught up!
  • 2 1
I guess I dont need to take any ambien to get to sleep tonight, now. Thanks Fox guys!

Thanks for sharing--- My morning ride starts in three minutes and I've got just enough time left to assimilate its key points.

The guy who stole his bike would like to be in touch with Jordi. Suspensions are way too hard, he's got no pleasure to ride it so far.
  • 11 8
I’ve seen a few shady folks strolling around the city with bikes which likely didn’t belong to them, and they didn’t seem to be into riding...
  • 3 1
@WAKIdesigns: Clearly you've never been to Taipei and seen the beneficiaries of the Giant Factory blem sale. Giant TCR with ISP and 80 mil carbon wheels converted to flat bar flat pedal cruiser on the taipei streets.
  • 5 8
@usedbikestuff: with all due respect Taipei is almost as far from Scotland as it gets... in all possible ways
  • 3 1
@WAKIdesigns: f*ck that! Folks in the great t-pei love a good fried mars bar, 10 pints of heavy and fight
  • 4 6
@Monkeyass: Folks in Taipei would die after 10pints of heavy. It’s like asking Angus and Jimmy to drink 2 litres of potato Vodka... Cyka Blyat!
  • 1 1
@WAKIdesigns: There are people all over the world who think a DH bike looks cool and should therefore be ridden everywhere. There is a rasta guy who lives near me and uses a demo to commute and go shopping with!
  • 1 2
@djm35: don’t fix what is not broken.
  • 2 1
The only thing talking to jordi accomplishes is going into a deep sleep, and fast.
  • 2 1
@WAKIdesigns: that's just the norm in the UK now. Every chav/scally etc. has their proper fs mountain bike bike to ride to the shop for baccy and electric top up. No helmet, tracksuit, wheelie 80% of the way....
  • 1 0
@djm35: Well I also do my commutes on a DH bike, but I also hit the trails, you see I don't have the money or the to every trend junk in market.

Will he be running down the mountain this weekend or will he be on a YT with Intense decals? Tune in to find out.

He's got more than one bike dude.

@onemanarmy: an entire army wiped out by sarcasm

@manuelandphillipe: Sad attempt at a played out joke... and most definitely not sarcasm.
  • 3 1
I wouldn’t suggest running downhill on a sprained ankle. Speed walking maybe but Aaron will need to take some ibuprofen and R.I.C.E. it afterwards.
  • 2 1
 @onemanarmy: damn dawg
  • 2 1
@onemanarmy: but I’m with you. I get SO MAD when anyone makes a positive joke about Aaron Gwin’s ability to beat everyone at racing, especially on a mtn bike message board that’s known to be un-serious! It’s so annoying...
  • 2 1
Per the mechanic's explanation a week ago, I hope they have more than one crankset too. Hehehe
  • 1 3
 @vjunior21: right. Lol!
  • 10 1
Gwin at 5'10" on an XL and me at 6'4" on the same size frame. Thanks internet for the laugh.
  • 2 1
Once you add in his skill level compared to yours it actually makes sense.
  • 1 0
@thesharkman: or maybe most bikes are too small and certain niche brands actually have the right idea about sizing
  • 8 0
 Wait, that's a picture of a bookshelf.
  • 1 0
 Lol!! I just noticed!!
  • 8 2
They all seem they would rather be at a dentists office rather than dialing in this bike.
  • 5 0
Ha. The years of “during that one section, my fork goes TING TING TING but after that rock to the left, it goes SPAT SPAT SPAT” has taken its toll on Mr. Fox guy.
  • 9 4
Wake me up when this video is over......
  • 6 1
That’s 12 minutes of my life I’ll never get back... good times

Classic having that Santa Cruz Nomad in the background the whole time.

Would love to know if there is big difference in front suspension setups, besides rider weight, between world cup riders, in a way to know if it's the rider that counts or the bike also counts a lot. I'm sure "Dialed" knows this very well.

And no one notice a new shock? Some kind of DHX 2 with a smaller rebound dial.
  • 7 2
 No riding? meh
  • 2 1
Wonder how different the settings would be if you did a few runs going by feel and instinct and then did a few runs with all the data logging stuff ,also which one would produce the fastest time ?
  • 1 0
Most riders "Go by feel and instinct" on a few runs (or races), tell the mechanics and techs they like whatever component they are working on, that mechanic or tech notes the settings from either the data logs or the actual settings. That is how it works. When a bike 'feels good' to a rider those settings are noted and used again.
  • 1 0
I feel better knowing it takes all this effort to get their suspension dialed! For guys like me trying to do the same it can be a bit of a process and I don't have all that equipment.
  • 1 0
I wouldn't worry about it. These guys are chasing seconds. Set your suspension relative to your own speed and comfort. Race settings are not practical settings for most of the time. Outside of competition and testing, do the pros ride these settings? I'm guessing no but I might be wrong.
  • 1 0
Well atleast he has his XL still to ride. Really looking forward to fort William. Men and Women are killing it!
  • 3 0
 That thieve is dialed
  • 1 0
For the constant high speed sections and rough terrain in FT. William the XL will be better aniway...
  • 2 0
Anyone else notice the Kenda tyres looking like a Minion / Aquila?
  • 2 0
I was wondering about that too. They’re definitely not Hellcats. I’ve heard there’s another Kenda mud tire on the way, maybe this is that.?
  • 1 0
At like 7:00 you can see (can’t not see) Glow in the Dark Gwin over a left shoulder. Haha
  • 2 0
That was about as exciting as watching a mud puddle dry up
  • 2 0
 Dialed... 999
  • 1 2
Love the Fox Dialed videos. FWIW - the bike he was riding in this video was and "L"
