The UCI has announced the dates for the 2022 World Cup series. It looks like we'll be due a return to longer series after a
shortened 2021 calendar as there are 8 DH and 9 XC rounds planned. The big news on the downhill side is that Lourdes and Mont Sainte Anne will return to the circuit but Maribor and Lousa miss out. Meanwhile, the XC riders will be heading to Brazil for the first time since the Rio Olympics for a race that will be held in Petropolis, the hometown of Henrique Avancini.
One round is still to confirm a venue but it will most likely be a European round that can host a downhill and XC World Cup. Lenzerheide, La Bresse, Meribel and Hafjell are the venues that fit that brief from recent years.

Why World Championships is before the last race of the World Cup?

Oh, and for US fans, the question isn’t, “Why Snowshoe?” The question is, “Why *only* one race in the US?” UCI should add another NA race or two while the racers are on this side of the pond.
Snowshoe is like cowbell. We must have more of it!
