Mike Redding to lead Fasthouse move into MTB.

Fasthouse is a brand name that isn't well known to the world of mountain bikes, yet. The brand, which has roots in motorcross gear and clothing, has decided that now is a good time to change that and will debut their first mountain bike range in spring 2018 and has added Mike Redding, formerly of Fox Head, to lead the charge.

bigquotesWe are excited to bring the Fasthouse moto style into the MTB world. Drawing from our moto background of having fun and racing sometimes, will fit in nicely into the MTB line that Fasthouse will be launching in spring. We are totally stoked to add Mike Redding to the team. I love his style. He will fit into our family perfectly. I can’t think of anyone else better to get our mountain bike division rolling.Kenny Alexander

Mike Redding to lead Fasthouse move into MTB.

Redding has a punk rock background that he brings with him alongside his marketing experience, of which he carries 18 years worth of. His experience in mountain bike sports marketing, recently behind Fox Racing's bike marketing and prior to that Troy Lee Designs, will be a good fit with the Fasthouse brand. Redding was the driving force behind recent Fox videos like Ride Your F#%king Bike.

bigquotesI was excited when Kenny gave me the nod to head up their MTB program at Fasthouse. What drew me into this company is the edge and punk rock attitude that shows in their moto gear and their athletes. I’m looking forward to building a fun team to do videos and movies and throw some great parties along the way. We will be the Purveyor of Good Times!Mike Redding

Welcome to the party, but please no clown pajamas.

haha why is everybody so offended by bright colours?

 @jaycubzz: it burnzz-us

No clown pyjamas from these guys for sure... their mx gear is all large block colours or simple black and white. Expensive though...

@jaycubzz: It's the combo of bright colors, logos and patterns that's offensive.
Canyon and Mavic have their sh_t together

@Messy: I get a hint of old Troy Lee from their jerseys but with more of a classic biker / Harley theme. I like it, and I usually wear all black when I ride.

I can't help but think it would really fit in with the Fest guys.

Keeping my eyes on FH. Would rather look like a gutter Punk than a clown.
  • 2 1
@Boardlife69: well with all of the american flags on their gear, you'll still end up looking like a clown

I just realized I spelled 'pyjamas' wrong.
  • 1 0
If you know Fasthouse, they definitely won't produce clown pajamas. Their style is really clean; I think it will be very well-received in the MTB crowd.

 @conv3rt: Lol... I stand corrected.

I had never thought of using my punk rock background to land a job. Time to rewrite my resume.

I've never heard of flaunting a "punk rock background" without telling us that background. I suppose if he was Keith Morris or something, it could go without saying. But I've never heard of the guy and Google ain't helping.
  • 3 0
Better than using an Emo image to lose a job.
  • 5 0
@Rubberelli: Yeah, same here. I don't think "punk rock" and marketing are natural friends in the first place, and without knowing his background, it feels like yet another corporate grab for the counterculture halo of punk.

When did punk rock become so safe? When did the scene become a joke? The kids that used to live for beer and speed now want their fries and coke. Cursating verbs are not allowed, in fact lets keep noise levels down. Must seperate the church and skate.

They'll have to fight YT to see who is the King of Good Times!

Something tells me they might become the yt mob's cloting sponsor..

"...of which he carries 18 years worth of."

Where has the English language gone? Used to get bad grades for my dangling participles.
  • 2 0
You're right; good grief that was a bad one.

Bro - the 2-finger Cyrusbieber hand sign is played out - Cope2 still uses it if you need proof that it's time to cease and desist.
  • 13 1
Yep, I was thinking "Umm...maybe wait til you have some gear to show before you clap a couple of pictures of mildly old dudes sitting in cush chairs as a way to make people want to buy your gear."
  • 5 0
I still do the peace sign coupled with the blue steel for family photos, resumes. etc.
  • 2 0
 ....when not pointing at things.

Not sure how punk rock mass-produced fashion is. I'm afraid the mtb industry has become more Power Ranger with matching kit and the necessity to accessorize everything instead of having fun and shreddin'. Can't wait to see mtb apparel in Nordstrom or Rapha.

What exactly is a 'punk rock background'?
Sounds like the poser factor is gonna get turned WAY up for 2018

So excited about the future of Fasthouse! Congrats Mike and the gear from these guys is phenomenal. To date, we have never worn a better cut jersey and if they bring even a glimpse of their moto vibe to MTB...the world will definitely be a better place. Rad company in every way!

Who's the first weedmaps wm. Sponsored mtb rider?
  • 1 1
Excellent, this is Wakileaks material. Studded jeans jacket with back pocket for gels. Jeans with a stretch panel and a bump stop when the dropper post gets excited (or for those hard core riders who do loads of seated pedaling). All water repellent yet breathable. You can commercialize anything these days Smile .

The photos look like two guys from Storage Wars with all their loot in the background. @davetrumpore

  • 1 0
Will a fasthouse sponsor include 805 Firestone beer sponsor? They sell the collaboration jersey's at the tasting room.

I have been using their moto gear for both MX and MTB for a year now......great stuff! Pumped for this
  • 5 3
Smart move as moto is a dying industry and MTB is on the way up.
  • 2 1
 Ha awesome!

 Congrats Mike! You'll crush it.
  • 1 0
Well the way weather modification going will not be a MTB industry anyway so keep 2018 for fat bikes
  • 1 0
I've been expecting this direction for them and pumped to see what they come up with.

Formally or "formerly"? Written by PinkBike staff? Who? The janitor?

 Most likely Trumpore.

@mollow: you are an insufferable troll aren't you... real classy in the World Champs thread calling World Champ and your fellow local rider Miranda Miller slow. Do you ever have anything nice to say? Reading through your profile it seems all you do is rip on other people and flag around insults? Maybe try offering up some kind of value to the site for a change and stop being a dick to everyone you interact with.

@mollow: you'll have to try harder of that's your goal... I know your just trying to be cute and funny and stir the pot, but you are really just a cowardly troll with an anonymous name.

@davetrumpore: your answers are all the reward I need bro thank you

 @davetrumpore:
But all bad humour aside seriously your website needs a proofreader real bad.
Unless you guys are trying to be punk rock too?
  • 2 4
@jflb: www.davetrumporephoto.com is my website... Everything is spelled correctly

As for the above article and others, try not to be so sensitive over one or two words here and there out of the thousands written on the site each day. Every written publication has typos. People are human and they spell words wrong. You spell words wrong every day as does everyone else (your response above is missing some punctuation to make a proper sentence), so I don't get the personal insults and such that come from a few of the users here each time they see a mistake.
  • 2 2
@mollow: the sad sad life of an internet troll banging keys from his cubicle
  • 2 4
@davetrumpore: cry me a river. As for comparing an article you're being paid to write with random comments from the users of the site... Poor judgement as always Trumpoop. I guess professionalism is far from being one of your qualities as you keep demonstrating.
  • 2 2
@mollow: Under every article there is a troll named Mollow being an ass. The irony of you questioning other people's professionalism is pure comedy given the profanity laced responses and personal insults you provide to this site on a daily basis. As is the idea that people don't have to care about spelling and punctuation while calling out others for similar mistakes is equally as funny.

You are obviously a butt hurt sad little man that is the internet troll
  • 2 3
@davetrumpore: the fact you need punctuation to prove your point just proves how weak your argument is. Nobody is calling you out on a missing comma, like you do. The fact is you sometimes use the wrong word and make flagrant spelling mistakes... And like I said, no the spelling errors in comments made quickly from a phone while hiding from your employer are not a valid excuse for you who gets paid to write a piece. But whatever eh, I'm just a troll and you are right, trumpwhore.

@mollow: awwww.... You made a cute little rhyme at the end there like a good little 1st grader. Such a cute little internet troll and his anonymous name to cuddle like a safety blanket and feel safe.

By the way jackass I didn't write this as you so cutely tried to insinuate... The only articles I write have my name at the top, and yeah once in a while there are a few worlds misspelled out of a thousand words. And yup... I still get paid... So keep crying yourself a river about it.
  • 1 3
@davetrumpore: it's not a rhyme bro its actually the same word! Pure genius if you ask me
  • 1 0
@mollow: lets be dicks on strava, not on pinkbike
  • 1 3
@vtracer: who rides with a phone lol? I crash way too much and my.pockets are too small
  • 1 3
@davetrumpore: nice sneaky edit you did there. I didnt really think you wrote it I said that because you are the joke of this site for spell checks.

Look who's the one throwing personal insults now... Ironic isn't it?
  • 2 2
@mollow: You earn earn every insult you receive for the way you respond to people on this site.

You are the epitome of a troll. Just a clown and an ass, and I have no issue calling out your crap in any thread your shit talking turns up in.

You like to make fun of people from Quebec, you call people pussy's for no reason, or retarded or ignorant because they disagree with you. You referred to Jared Graves as douche bag and most recently took pleasure in calling Miranda Miller slow in the World Champs thread after her win (twice).

It seems you just enjoy finding a way to take little digs at people, and are especially fond of calling them out by name, yet you hide your identity.

The sad life of the internet troll
  • 1 3
@davetrumpore: about time I earn something

@davetrumpore:
I think there's a statement about arguing with a*sholes that explains this whole situation.
Which one of you dicks is going to apologize to Mike Redding and fasthouse guy for stinking up their article?

 @jflb: not me sucker
