Such a nice bike! every years' double is really nice!
but the video made it look like a trail bike...

Yeah i don't know why but i just didn't find the vid that interesting. The trail looked really fun though.

yeah cool vid....but that's just the bike and the riding I think the editing could have been better, I'm with you el-nombre.

This is my territory! unemployment line is amazing. its as smooth as a pumptrack, but it has all the features of regular freeride singletrack. im right down the road from it at the moment.

This is the new Unimployment Line trail on Galbraith mt. and Lars riding is pretty extrorinary. Mst people are riding bigger bikes up there but he kills EVERYTHING on that new 4" double. I don't think the wood ramp at the top is even designed to be aired out from where he took off. Awesome. VOD.

At 2:20 i dont get why they built that top bump??? looks like if they push t back to the edge you'd have a smoother, larger landing for that. Or, has someone cleared over that bump?

The section your talking about at 2:20 is eventually going to get another makeover. Currently there is another option that most other riders take. Lars built the gap jump on one of our trail days, and I believe he is one of the few people around here to actually hit it. You have to see this trail in person to even get a grasp on how well Lars rode it. The guy shreds!

Heard that trail was built by a professional trail builder and the Plunder Crew. Such a sick trail and Lars makes it look so easy.

The professional trail builder was Andrew Fletcher-Love of Northwest Trails Inc. The Plunder guys that did the majority of the digging and shaping behind the machine were Colin Tobin ( he was there everyday), Thad, Chris, Clayton and Vaughn. The guys with the vision that worked behind the scenes and on the trail to make sure this project happened were EB, Bill Hawk and Matt Durand, of the WMBC. Fanatic Bicycle Company donated the machine. Tons of volunteers showed up, Odin to name the most dedicated, even Lars helped when he could. There were trail days sponsored by Transition Bikes, Drop N Zone and Hidden Wave that promoted big turnouts. The trail was a community effort.

thats cuz hes not doing anything remotely difficult. i dont see anything special about this vod. it actually kind of sucks. ive seen 12 year olds ripping it harder(not this trail, but in general).

My underlying point was not made clear I see. People should shop their local bike shops more. Unfortunately for him, it looks like there is no dealer in Hawaii. But my point is still valid, the more people support their shops, the more the shop gets to give back to the community and help progress the sport. That's exactly what's happening here, if nobody came by the the shop, chances are we would not get to hold a sick event like Ranchstyle. The more the name gets out and people support us, the more we can do.
That's all I was trying to state.
