My best friend is currently going through chemo for Rabdomyosarcoma. Because this cancer is rare in adults, he has been unable to find any financial support. I'm hoping the MTB community can help take care of one of their own: www.crowdrise.com/bmans-chemo-fund1/fundraiser/amymamula
He's also a huge part of our local trailwork organization, so if you've ever ridden in/around Tucson, or plan to, think of it as a investment in trails advocacy as well. If just a couple hundred people donate $25, his treatment will be taken care of.
Cancer might be a good way to get money but some of the money is used right - remember that when your vetting donation options. In the end money is so small.
After spending $1000's over the past 15 months I'm in for a donation on this one. If I win I'll probably sell my other bike and ask evil to duplicate a bike in my wife's size so she and I can ride together on matching rigs! Thanks Evil for putting this out there.

Donated.
How have we not beaten this disease yet?
There are many excellent and real charities that actually do fund research and help people other than themselves.
YSC is a BS charity. Sorry.
Beautiful bike though!
If anyone wants to better understand what they do, how they support people and where money is spent.
You think all money should go to research fine. Dont donate. Support something else. But unless you are actively doing something please for the sake of helping survivors shut the hell up
I posted the link above to charity navigator which gave them a 96% score on transparency and 88.4% overall rating, higher than many larger charitys. Their ceo earns just 3% of yearly earnings at 141K. 74% of money raised goes directly into the programs they support.
Let me reiterate, YSC supports people and their families fighting cancer.
