Sick! I love how XC nowadays has quiet a few technical sections and jumps. I'd definitely like to ride one of these courses even though I normally only ride enduro laps
I rode the course at snowshoe last year. It was wild. The off camber turns with suface transitions that were dirt/road/gravel/grass/dirt were wicked to carry speed over. Portions of the rock garden were nuts and and lots of steep sections
@waldo-jpg: give the last lap a try, it's interesting quite often. Most people truely ride XC when they think they are riding full send broduro, just because of the bike they are on.
Looks like a pretty well thought-out course. I'm interested to see what happens at that narrow rock-over and the small double inside that berm. Hoping for more butterflies too
@pinkbike will there be a fantasy league for XC? Doubt many of us really give a shit if there's no major sponsor giving out prizes. We just wanna play the game baby!
Parts of the course are totally unrideable today what with the rain, bikes are holding on to a lot of mud.
We know who the faves are in cross conditions like these
Looks like a really fun course. Some of the tech A-line features look either the same speed or even slower than the B-line options though. I hope that is not the case since fortune should favor the brave (or most technically skilled). IMHO the B-line should carry a significant time penalty. This will make XC less "dirt roadie" vibes and more real mtb. This course certainly leans in that direction. Can't wait to watch.
What a fantastic course, just hope on good camera positions, commentary via Warner never disappoints, will be glued to RedBull this weekend.. last season of coverage, best enjoy...
Is the Copa International race that was just held this weekend (April 2/3) on the same course/venue as WC #1 this weekend? Couldn't really find much clarity trying to translate.
Awesome course by the looks of it but don't fool your self about the track, they didn't just stumble upon all that downhill out of nowhere. There is likely some brutal climbing in there.

WE WANT FANTASY XC!

Good luck to all.
Will Jenn Jackson be on it or will Helen Grobert still be on it?
