 Time to be oscarthecaller
  • 4 1
so we're gonna see your grave in next weeks?
  • 3 0
 RIP oscartheballer
  • 13 0
Later tonight he’s gonna be oscarnoballer
  • 6 0
We should probably start a goFundMe page for Oscar. If we all chip in, he may ride again one day
  • 16 0
 WTF.
  • 14 0
Wow ... just wow. Dude better hope he never end up in wheel chair as that seems like he's taunting karma to put him in one. Hope he rode at least rode through some dog poop that day and it got everywhere.
  • 8 0
 Seriously. That is messed up.
  • 23 1
Fuck that guy and his wife.
  • 20 7
What a d-bag. Of course he's a white MAMIL. (Middle Aged Man In Lycra).
  • 10 0
On the upside, that couple seems to be made for one another. Glad to see neither of them ended up with a nice person that would have to put up with their sh!t
  • 9 0
I'd square up w/ that mf on sight
  • 7 0
That dork looks like he wanted to speak with a manager.
  • 7 0
Agreed, and if I heard correctly she said "You should have led with that"? I thought I was watching an SNL skit at first. Where was this?
  • 3 0
 @Staktup: near Bloomington Indiana
  • 4 0
@Staktup: Same, I thought this was a joke. What an absolute piece of shit.

@querent: What does color have to do with this?
What does gender have to do with this?
What does age have to do with this?
What does clothing have to do with this?
  • 9 1
Attack of the Karens and Kevins. Cockheads of the century right there.
  • 9 10
@IntoTheEverflow: Russian and Marxist actors have inflamed racial tensions in America through unconventional warfare for many years now. Everything is about race to those who have allowed themselves to be influenced.

lycra is another story!

@IntoTheEverflow: its just a local stereotype, sometimes dudes who dress/look like this are a*sholes. Its a confirmation bias, but the only people ever to grief me have been dickheads like this.

I agree that its not cool to call them this though because for every guy like this there are 100 dudes who look exactly the same that are cool as f*ck.
  • 4 2
@mariomtblt: I know the type, it's probably an almost global stereotype.
It's just that i get a bit triggered when again the middle aged white man is portrayed as the epitome of evil.

I should watch less TV.
  • 2 0
Interesting, he's riding what appears to be a non-lower link tallboy or hightower. Confirms my suspicions.
  • 4 2
@IntoTheEverflow: If the portrayal "triggers" you, jump on the pile-on and help to denormalize the behavior like this that middle-aged white men like myself get when they throw a tantrum. To point out the problem, (i.e. this stereotype) is to implicitly admit that there is a problem with middle-aged white men, and which I submit is completely accurate.

We need to recognize that our demographic has been able to do whatever we want for millenia sans consequences. Once we do that, we can come to terms with the fact that we dont have the same power anymore, and thus limit the amount of tantrums we can throw. Otherwise we're going to continue seeing the perpetration of the middle-aged white-man tantrum-thrower because we don't understand why the world has changed in our lifetimes.
  • 3 1
@ryd-or-die: My point is that the stereotype is inacurate and also a bit racist.
  • 2 0
 @Staktup: classic Karen response
  • 4 1
@ryd-or-die: uh, that middle-aged white man stereotype might apply to you but most of the MAWM I know are humble, respectful and not at all entitled... in other words good blokes. most stereotypes are pointless and achieve no good.

I demand that a*shole turn in his mountain bike. He’s no longer allowed to be one of us.
  • 2 0
was really hoping it would end with the class act wizzing past, then smacking a tree.
  • 1 0
whatta dick!!! sucks you had to deal with assholes like that
  • 1 4
in his defence (slightly).. I really think he didn't hear or understand the first time you said it was a handicap vehicle, which is why his wife said you should have led with that. I'm 100% sure he wouldn't have given you trouble if he'd realised that. But you were very clear from the start that it was a handicap vehicle and his attitude jumped the gun immediately in an effort to be anti ebike and he really should have said a big sorry after that. Sorry you had to put up with that

@nordland071285: Even from the ATWC’s POV video, I could tell by seeing his feet elevated that it was a wheelchair of some sort.

The correct punishment would be to make that couple ride through rock gardens 12 hours straight with no saddles attached to fixed, non-dropper seatposts lubed up with gritty carbon paste.

And then post it on the internet.
  • 1 0
@Staktup: haha yeah fair enough, I'm just saying he was being an idiot rather than a monster.. Because I don't believe be realised - and once he realised his mistake, he didn't continue to be difficult.
He should have said sorry though, that would have fixed his mistake to some extent, and might have saved him being posted on the Internet for all to ridicule.
  • 1 0
@nordland071285: I don't know why you think it was me in the ATwheelchair, but it wasn't... but thank you.
  • 1 0
 yeah, what a loser

Friday fails, the "everybody's OK" edition.
  • 15 0
Not sure if the guys who overshot the massive gap off the screen is ok. The rest seem to have managed.
  • 2 0
@roma258: 47 seconds right? Where the hell did he go:-(
  • 2 0
@dglobulator: I'm thinking the guy at 1:52 (hella nose heavy too), but the other one too.
  • 2 0
#2 is okay but he's never going to have kids. Could be a good or bad thing
  • 1 1
One of my friends was in this edition and she broke her femur
  • 1 0
@zanda23: shit! Which one was she?
  • 24 0
There's been a lot of fails over the last few weeks that seem to be as result of an overwhelming curiosity to see what's in the bushes at the side of the trail. Although i don't know why they have to ride in to look. Just get off your bike and have a butchers.

People who eat it doing stuff I CAN'T are bad-asses I respect and admire. People who eat it doing stuff I CAN are morons who shouldn't be allowed to disgrace the sport by touching a bike. There are no in-betweens.
  • 3 1
Just about all of them are badasses, BTW.

I'm not very good at this sport. :-(
  • 2 0
people who eat it doing stuff i can't, but neither can they... is the worst

Every Friday I am amazed by the amount of clips of such inexperienced riders trying to ride stuff that is over their head. Such bravery. Like, they can barely roll into the drop/jump/feature without crashing and then they still just go for it. Impressive.
  • 9 0
Last Friday was fail alright for me - fractured collarbone and being out for the rest of the season is not something you get every day.
  • 8 0
 But did you video it?
  • 5 0
@JonnyTheWeasel: No, I was going to film the following run Smile
  • 3 0
I broke my hand last Friday-also no video. Ride hard enough often enough and you get rocked eventually.
  • 9 0
 Interesting noises in this one
  • 8 0
The slow mo guy is still going somwhere out there......
  • 7 0
I dont understand how that guy at 3:30 crashed... He had all the right kit!!
  • 3 0
I think the fork nearly bottoming out with every root was a pretty bad sign.
  • 3 2
 @txclg:
Yeah, running like.... maybe half the air pressure he should?

Remember kiddos- your fork should be stiff, and your shock plush.
  • 7 0
How can you fail jumping onti one of those stunt bags?
  • 1 0
 practice
  • 2 0
@MartyFluxMcFly: My mind is blown!!!! You mean people practice to fail???? It never crossed my mind but such a good idea.
  • 5 0
 Great as always!
Don't get the last drop - why did his tires slide?? Kind of a berm landing? Did he brake?
  • 2 0
 Yes.
  • 4 0
For the best viewing experience, use headphones. Some of these sound more brutal than they look.
  • 1 0
i hate watching someone come up to a 30 foot road gap with the speed necessary for a 2 foot long step down and they think it'll work, even the smallest amount of common sense would fix that but apparently not...
  • 3 0
Let’s see how long I can make it through this weeks dose of anxiety
  • 2 0
That last video was the perfect way to finish. laughed so hard at the scream
  • 4 0
 Oh Jesus!!
  • 4 1
2:24 is not a fail, one is supposed to land into that giant fart cushion
  • 2 0
Slowmo OTF was great. Just like reading a book it's always better when your imagination makes up the rest Smile
  • 1 0
I cannot think of a better caption for the still frame at 3:17 than "butcher hope" as stated by that poor lad's tire and rim.
  • 1 0
@3:11 My inner rider is crying "dude you're sooooo past the point of no return on this one, let go of those brakes or the next 10 seconds is going to SUCK"
  • 1 0
I don't think anyone of them would have crashed if only they were using flats, were riding a 29er and had a dropper post..........
  • 1 2
Why do people bail off their bikes? Stop doing that- it never works out well!

The only good time to voluntarily exit from your bike is to hug a tree trunk as your going by it, once the crash is already certain. Otherwise, almost always better to let your bike take the initial, hardest impact.
  • 2 0
Disagree, I've had plenty of bails where I end on my feet but wouldn't have gotten away if I stayed on.
  • 1 0
Dump the bike asap. I'd be dead if I tried to stayed on during some if my crashes..
  • 1 0
I've saved endos before by jumping over the bars and running it out. Also had an interesting pirouette with the bike while stepping off during a technical roll down. Practicing parkour style tumbling on the grass can save your ass!
  • 2 0
Do we actually know if 2:00 slow mo actually crashed? Its possible they are still floating through the air for all of time.
  • 2 0
I choose to believe that 2:03 rode it out.
  • 2 0
3:37 - did the rear tire explode? Or what happened there?
  • 1 0
Tryna figure out that myself. Everything looked good maybe a slipped pedal?
  • 1 0
Looks like he twitched the front end - turned under him.
  • 3 0
Watch my dude's knees drive forward on impact like they were shot out of a cannon. He had all of his weight in front of the pedal spindles. I submit to the fail court that this man had his toes pointed down upon landing.
  • 2 0
That BMX nose dive at 0:50 Smile
  • 2 0
The slowmo nose dive out of frame made my morning.
  • 2 0
 Ya'll ever play lawn darts?
  • 1 1
Yawn! This is a step down from previous weeks. Best one was the drop to fly off the berm into the bushes. Did he not see where his buddies were going?
  • 3 1
The real fail is filming in vertical mode.
  • 1 0
The second to last fail was hilarious, according to my 9-month old who burst laughing
  • 1 0
1:09 Annnnd now you gots the poison ivys
  • 1 0
I've never seen someone so happy to face plant! Dude on the BMX bike.
  • 1 0
Taking a wild guess here.... OTB's and trees.

* and a few dodgy landings.
  • 1 0
0:26 Thats what you get for taking the strava line
  • 1 0
This is the "Where we are going we dont need trails" Friday Fails edition.
