 26", 650B, 650B+, 29", 29"+, 700, Fat Bike, BLABLABLA..... I don't care, a bike is a bike and I love it !!! Wink

Wheel size is irrelevant when you have quads like that!

Nice riding Yoann ,loves me some CX ripping.

Well said Giannini. Rock the ews! Aller...

I love how the Frenchies always say "putain". It's like an English person saying "slut" whenever something goes wrong instead of "shit".
  • 2 0
 or "f*ck" of course

 Great video. Mad skills!!!!

I don't care about the Lycra. I don't care about that he fell off. I don't care that he's french. I recently got a CX bike after my enforced retirement from downhill and I can tell you that that is damn hard with drop bars! Much respect
  • 2 0
Considering his bars are like 580mm wide, his riding is amazing!
  • 7 0
 More like 440mm!
  • 3 1
Damn, 440mm? That's some serious upper body to land drops like that.

When a guy shreds harder than you on a road bike...
  • 20 1
I wish he would have flew passed someone on a brand new 150mm carbon 27.5 bike. (No hate I have a carbon 27.5 bike)
  • 10 2
Yeah, he looked about 3x faster on that bike than I do on my new 27.5 "enduro" bike. It puts me to shame! lol

@joetincher: Top xc/cyclocross (and rodies) racers aren't pro because they can pedal hard for a ridiculous amount of time, they are pro because they can also descend like madmen. Great example: I raced some of the Big Mountain Enduro Series in CO in 2013. I was going down Angels Plunge at Angel Fire and Jeremy Hogan Kobelski (former Trek XC pro/Former Collegiate National Champion) came sailing by me, throwing a pretty good whip on a double. I also raced the Rocky Mountain Endurance series that same year in the half Marathon category. By the last 5 or so miles of my race the pro full marathon pros would catch up to me on their last lap (half marathon 30 miles/full marathon 60 miles) and blow by me like I was standing still. I am not a great downhiller, but I'm not bad for an amateur. After 60 miles or so, if a Pro XC rider can go that fast downhill, i only imagine what they cold do if fresh, on a DH or trail bike. Both series (RME and BME) had pretty sick downhill runs.

I totally agree @CaliCol. Overall fitness and bike handling skills/ line choice often overcome whatever discipline of riding you choose.

It's not the bike, it's the rider!

On skinny tires + drop bars
Like a boss
  • 16 4
Lets not have any arguments about what bike, wheel size or axel he's using. He's riding a bicycle and its dope!

this guy could/would take mad short cuts in the tour de france win win win....
loving how he brrrrraaaaapppppsss himself.

 minus the lycra....
  • 4 1
Baggy shorts and hairy legs look weirder on a cross/road bike than shaved legs and lycra...I love my CX bike. It's a tiny trail shredding death machine when you put some wide tubeless tires on it!
  • 2 2
 Minus the cross bikes ...

 Ooo puta !!! Awsome !!!
  • 3 0
Cross bikes are super fun to mtb with.... maybe I just suck on my 29er but I actually find my cross bike way easier on a lot of climbs.
  • 2 1
is your cross bike a 26?

Norco threshold a2 with 700c wheels
  • 2 0
 Nevermind
  • 3 1
I'm waiting for someone (who probably just commented about how rad the skinny jean wearing bro-bras at CruzFEST are) to make a disparaging remark about lycra. It's coming. I know it.

This is an awesome video - reminds me of RoadBikeParty from way back on Youtube! Could someone please tell me what sort of GoPro attachment this guy would be using to get this footage? Thanks

 Skinies on skinies, really cool.

How come we never see a 12" travel DH bike with big stankin knobby mud tyres on a long flat paved road??? Now THAT'S gnarly!!!
  • 2 0
Its "River Runs Through it" ... check out the bridge at the end of the video

Got to share a shuttle ride with my fellow Frenchman at the Sea Otter. Great guy and badass rider! Hope he kicks ass on the EWS this year.
  • 3 2
That's cool that he can do it, but it didn't look like fun. Way more fun on a full squish bike that allows you to flow over the rough stuff.
  • 3 0
I understand what you mean, but fun comes from within the mind. When I used to ride my BMX on trails every now and then it was the same level of fun because my mindset changed with the conditions. It looked like he was having fun to me.
  • 2 2
It's just not my definition of fun.
