@Keystonebikes, you can also cure it by establishing a longer relationship with a woman and giving her login to your accounts at online stores so that she has access to your invoices... Never trust a man when he says that latest shipment was the last upgrade to his bike that year - Even on 31st of December. If you recieve a package with your husbands name on it and in it you find a tyre and few tubes - it is a decoy! He got larger shipmemt delivered to his work or friends premises
Can anyone explain me how the hell Marzocchi 380 C2R2 from CRC cost in USA 800$ and the same product in UK costs 750 GBP? In Poland it costs 1040 EURO!!
VAT is not included in the North American pricing. The Canada/US price will appear to be less than the UK price because the taxes component has been stripped, and is then charged by the country at the time of import.
For the UK, your sales tax or VAT is embedded in the price of items at the point of origin. In NA, all prices are subject to taxes that are additional to the stated price.
You are not right. If I buy something in the Europe I pay only taxes in country where I'm buying. That means that I should see same price as UK buyers.
I agree that in the USA and Canada you pay taxes there and they depends on which state you are living. But even VAT in Poland is 23%. Not 61% like in this case.
I have to say chain reaction has the worst prices like really a marzoochi fork for 2300 like what the hex hand then they drop the price way down to make it look like their good I would go with jenson any day
you should probably buy parts from your local shops so they can stay in business and you can have a bike that that doesnt work like shit. no shops no service.
Weird, I remember buying a plasma chainguide from them and with the currency conversion and the shipping, it still came under 100$, which is like half a E13.
lol 1234 usd for the tapered and 2000 usd for the 1/1 8... i selected United States and it's more cheaper.. damn,,, really Chain reaction? you are gonna sell a lot of forks with that price here in Spain, where the normal salary is 820$
My lbs owner is such a %$*#!! I tried and tried to give him a chance, and he blew it pretty bad 3 times in a row. And he has the nerve to give me the "woe is me" act.
"Support your local bike shop" I do, Dunbar is not local to me, but a real bike shop non the less. Got a wicked deal on a charger damper. But seriously, they cannot compete with most of the on-line deals, and not to mention the hundreds of thousands of products avail. online
start your own local bike shop if you have a crappy one or none at all. do everything that riders like and dont do any of the stuff we hate. i see the same complaints time and time again on these comment sections. cmon bike shops, are u guys paying attention?
I've tried multiple times.....their reaction to my request for a particular part is usually....easier for you to just buy it online....so I don't feel bad when they tell me to buy it online.
A little bird told me that Dunbar will be posting some very solid prices that you won't want to miss all of December with a new deal each day. Keep you eyes peeled.
Chain Reaction sale price: $799.99
In Poland it costs 1040 EURO!!
1040 EUR
=
1287.9257 USD
WTF?!
750 pound is 950 euro.. how they come to 1050?

Problem solved.
If its old, there is lower demand which translate into higher production costs so $$$$$$.
Those havens are the carbon ones though and they're selling them at the cost of alu rims. They retail for like 2k$+ iirc.
Nope
really Chain reaction? you are gonna sell a lot of forks with that price here in Spain, where the normal salary is 820$
sorta deceiving. although i wouldnt put a superstar product on my bike if it was given to me.
